@frantzdy187 I would beg to differ. I do not think it is disrespectfulto fall asleep to music. It is not considered boring. It is in a way a complement, as it allows you to relax, close your eyes and go to places where you have never been before. :)
i listen to this sitting in my car before headin into school. Its' like a way of just calming down before i go into another day of classes, getting closer to the day I graduate and can go to Iceland :]
this isn't good music this isn't awsome music this is art and a beautiful and amazing song and no man shall change the feelings that i get from sigur rosis songs
this is such a peaceful song that gives me so much hope..and at the same time, it's beauty is nearly killing me...Sigur Ros is definitley THE band of the century...
well..hope you don't see this as a spam, but I think this will interest some of you..
I found a band on youtube called "Nyctalgia"
If you've got the time listen to their song "Lost in timeless horizons" and "Falling into nothingness"
breathtaking and powerful songs by this extremely young guy..
@andrefreakincreator "What a calm death this seems to me... No more ambitions, frustrations, illusions... You're just gone." Thanks. The most beautiful image about death that I could feel. This is death. Fucking heaven.
@toobiesz Actually, many people listen to their music without falling asleep because the music is too beautiful to miss. Some people actually only get calm from listening to their music, and falling asleep to their music I find a bit disrespectful. But maybe the music is too boring to some?
It sounds amazing when you play it alone...but it sounds even more amazing if you play it, then like half way through the song play it again in a different tab and hear the round. :)
@tjh0225 this song sounds like the beginning of the tune that plays at the end of the movie THE BOYS ARE BACK i have been looking for the song at the eend in the car. Can anyone help me please????
@djmaf I listen to this before sleeping as well.. but this piece scares me. I get imaginations that I shouldn't, but I love it at the same time as I fear it.
I think this is my favourite song on the album, even if it is a short one. Reminds me a lot of Hammock, I wonder if they were an influence at all on this song.
Jonsi asked Hammock to perform live (for the first time ever) at their Riceboy Sleeps exhibition back in 2007, he's a big fan of them. Not saying Hammock were definitely an influence on this song, but to me it sounds a bit like what Hammock would do if they covered Fljótavík during their Maybe They Will Sing... era!
Definitely one of my favorite songs on the album, and also one of my favorites from Sigur Rós. It's just so saturated in grace and despair for me, which works very well. Thanks for the post!
great track. thnx

They just used this in a 9/11 commemoration ad on MTV, I'm fairly certain. Hope they got credit.

This shall not get religious, but with such music on earth, there must be something greater behind everything.

@andrefreakincreator That is the best description I've ever heard of this song. It's exactly how I've always felt about it.

Amazing power with no words. A masterful way to transition into Fljótavík.

But it's after Fljótavík, the most simple and beautiful outro possible.
