I was my Dad's Tomboy He alway's took me fishing great memories. My Dad is in the Ga. Country Hall of Fame & Honor-1987~ Tommy Hedden~ I miss him but He's singing w the Angels now. But he would have loved your style of tune's. I do.

I LOVE Skip Ewing, he is one of my TOP 10 all time FAV Male Country singers/songwriters, I Love all of his stuff, his voice, his playing, his "heartfelt lyrics"... had the pleasure of seeing him just once, and he played this very song for me, and my family and I were seated near front and center, he dedicated it to me, as it WAS a "special request" from me... I remember it WELL... what a nice gentleman he was/is too... I wish he would perform live more often and come back to the northeast too...
@DERedhead65 Hi... such a pleasant sensation to read input from another fan who appreciates the depth and breadth of this man's talent... I studied this man's musical style for years. Much of my writing talent and vocal ability is directly attributable to the fact that he came to the scene with what he did, when he did. I learned nearly every subtle nuance of every lyric on every song for the albums up until 'Until I Found You'.

Skip is TRULY an amazing "rare gem" that doesn't come along in music often.. he is SO TALENTED... you can tell he writes and sings and plays from the heart... gotta love that. He is one of my FAVS from day #1... love him. I just wish he'd come closer to Delaware again lol...

They cut off the last line. The song is just incomplete without it.
"I just wanted you to know... You're the best friend I have ever had."
I love the whole song; it makes me think of my Dad every time I listen to it, but it's that last line that rips the tears from me every time.
