  • How did he do on the general knowledge?

  • Fucking Trot!

  • Trotsky was a cunt just like Lennin. Stalin had much more time to be evil in the space both Trotsky and Lenin created for atrocity, thus overshadowing their misdeeds.

Trotsky and Lenin murdered millions of the Russian populace between 1917-22.

Check it before you reck it

  • @beckybecky82 "Trotsky was a cunt just like Lenin" Hahaha, love that, it's nice to see that some people can still make a point without being snobbish and pseudointellectual about it

  • A masterly summing-up of socialist politics.

    (With or without the shirt).

  • I love how he instantly starts speaking passionately when the host asks about Trotskyism.

  • "Communism without democracy is like the human body without oxygen"

    -Leon Trotsky

  • @anarcy7777u your using democracy in the wrong context

  • @powertothepeople14 i dont see how. Trotsky argued against the closing of parliament by lenin, and also used the direct democracy model set out by marx in his own writings.

  • "Life is beautiful. Let future generations cleanse it of all evil, oppression and violence and enjoy it to the full." - Leon Trotsky.

  • @TerrySleeper key word 'future'

he believed the ends justified the means...and with Lenin began the 'oppression and violence' notorious of Soviet Russia.

  • Krondstadt you stupid fuck. Trotsky was as bad as Stalin, he was just too lazy to fight through the bureaucracy. He helped Lenin form the Cheka, the Secret Police. He never fought Lenin's Red Terror. Remember what old Lev said... ''opposition to the state means death by slow starvation.'' Hardly the words of a sound democrat

  • Did Trotsky not help, advise and support Lenin throughout his regime?

It was Stalin, and Stalins 'socialism is one country' that Trotsky protested against.

  • faggot.

on paper communism also looks wonderful. in reality trotskysm would be the same mass murder as communism.

  • ...Trotsky founded the Red Army. To say that Trotskyism is not communism as we know it is absurd. Trotsky didn't seem to understand or appreciate that the unchecked concentration of power in the state always leads to dictatorship, overt or de facto. He had his head in the clouds and died a violent death as a result, like so many ignorant statists.

  • Avoid Service's book on Trotsky.

The American Historical Review's verdict of the book was damning:

"A book that fails to meet the basic standards of historical scholarship."

"Service fails to examine in a serious way Trotsky's political ideas in his writings and speeches - nor does it appear that he has always bothered to familiarize himself with them."

"Service relies on cheap shots and slanderous asides to keep his readers convinced that Trotsky is a despicable man."

    'Nuff said?

  • Lenin - An evil monster, was directly responsible for the overthrow a wide coalition government in order not to have to share power with other, less radical organizations. The October revolution was the end of political pluralism in Russia. Begun the red terror which destroyed any chance for a peaceful transformation. Directly responsible for the founding of the cheka ( aka. gpu, nkvd, kgb). Churchill on Lenin, Russians: "Their worst misfortune was his birth... their next worst his death".

  • trotskyist or not, there is no excuse for that fuckin shirt. Trotsky himself always made sure he was smartly dressed!

  • @dontleademsomuch I confess, that's pretty much all I was thinking about during this video as well.

  • @dontleademsomuch

Perhaps the reason he is wearing it is that it is a fuckin shirt and he gets more fucks. Perhaps he doesn´t give a fuck about clothes´ fascism!

  • Trotsky was jewish murder

  • Trotsky - a murderous criminal directly responsible for the deaths of 4 000 000 innocent victims, directly responsible for extermination of Russian peasantry, bourgeoisie, social democrats and pretty much anyone who he saw as opposing the bolshevik revolution. His ice-axe death at the hands of stalin's henchmen was, alas, too gentle to be a proper punishment. It is a pity that there is no hell for him to fry in.

  • @Vide1et1lacrima what are your sources stalinist???

  • @Vide1et1lacrima Stalin - An evil selfish cold-blooded monster responsible for the deaths of 60 million people, directly responsible for the extermination of the Russian people, regardless of rank or social class, the Ukrainian peasantry, the Polish, and anyone he saw as a threat to his personal power. The one who corrupted the Russian Revolution and Lenin's fantastic ideals forever. His long painful death was well-deserved. If there is a hell, I'm sure it was created just for him.

  • @kougermasterz Also, one cannot 'corrupt' what was rotten at the start. Stalin's rise was made possible by Lenin, whose take on terror can be best laid out in his own words: “One cannot hide the fact that dictatorship presupposes and implies a “condition”, one so disagreeable to renegades, of revolutionary violence of one class against another …the “fundamental feature” of the concept of dictatorship of the proletariat is revolutionary violence.”

    fantastic ideals indeed...

  • Talking shit.

  • Trotsky, whether you love him or hate him you have to admit, he killed a lot of peasants.

  • @wapsiwilly nope

  • It would've been interesting if Stalin had died in 1924, rather than Lenin. History would've been a lot different I bet...

  • red commie bastard!

  • @defgill O...I'd..rather be a commie than a cunt, yes I would!

  • @comanchio1976 congratulations on both

  • @defgill No silly, it is quite obvious that you are the cunt....an ignorant cunt at that.

Wallow in your stupidity, cunt, it seems to suit you very well.

  • What do Trotskyists think of YouTube? Isn't it an evil tool of capitalism? Wasn't it created with profit motive? Doesn't it make money through advertisement?

  • @erwinthehamsandwich Yes, but so what? Well actually that sort of 'evil tool' rhetoric is the sort of paranoid propaganda nonsense that was propagated by the likes of Stalin.

You've got to engage with a system in order to affect change. What would be the point of communicating with people on a purely socialist network..you'd just be preaching to the converted.

Wikipedia is a not-for-profit set up..do you consider that to be a shameful commie conspiracy? No, so let's be more grown up about things

  • schweet!

  • Great video clip. Great guy. Thanks for posting.

  • It was actually tongue-in-cheek. I'm actually a Trotskyist. But bear in mind this isn't, of course, how any sensible communist approaches someone on the street, or talks to workers on the picket-line. That was actually a quote from The Transitional Programme, written by Trotsky only a year before the Second World War, during the rise of fascism across Europe; while the global economy was still very much suffering in the wake of the horrendous collapse of '29. But thanks for the helpful pointers!

  • Rare to see intelligent people like him nowadays...

  • Workers – men and women – of all countries, place yourselves under the banner of the Fourth International. It is the banner of your approaching victory!

  • @ilikedrums55

    Haha.

Reading like this is like listening to a religious fanatic at Speakers Corner telling us that the end is coming and Jesus will come down.

It's all based on fantasy, obsession, and delusion.

    Grow up, for goodness sake.

  • @ilikedrums55

""Workers – men and women – of all countries, place yourselves under the banner of the Fourth International. It is the banner of your approaching victory!""

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAA

Spoken with the same delusion as a nutjob religious fundamentalist.

    All faith and no reason.

    Get back to reality.

  • @ilikedrums55 wsws.org

  • Trotsky rules!!!!

  • @MikhailSilverwood

    Trotsky doesn't rule you tool.

    He's dead.

    Keep up.

  • @yington If it wasn't for Trotsky keeping the true Marxist tradition alive during those dark decades of Stalinist corruption and perversion, then it's likely that the theory of human liberation would have been lost forever. Trotsky kept the flame alive during the most horrible storm, and socialists of today are the benefitiaries.

  • @MikhailSilverwood - yes. He kept the (red) flag flying.

Ignore Robert Service's lousy biography and read instead LT's autobiography, "My Life"; or Isaac Deutscher's 3-vol biography.
