I just recently purchased his dvd; there's a real disparity between the interviews he does for the film and this one. He almost comes off disingenuous when he does them. In the dvd, he even states he's only doing those particular interviews for the money. Rightfully so because he has a family of three, but he just doesn't appear happy. It's almost as though he's riding the whole Death Cab Hype; trying to sever himself from Pedro completely. It sucks.

i got the dvd but i haven't really watched any of the interview parts - just the songs. hmm thats weird, might have to take a look at that.

The reason he said he was doing the interviews wasn't 'for the money' it was more for publicity, because with contracting a label, you have to be willing to put forth the effort to advertise your music, and interviews interest audiences. and who says he's seperating himself from Pedro? Yes, they broke up, but he still preforms the songs and such. Speaking about the band in particular could be a bit unnecessary, especially when moving forward, even though they made great music.
