  • Wow - the lead singer said this song is about a person in an abusive relationship that thinks they are being abused out of love. Totally not an appropriate video for the song. Did you listen to the lyrics?

  • pour mon ISA que j'aime de tout mon cœur!!!!

  • is this song about abortion??

  • @Cookiemelie

if i read and hear this lyrcis i dont think so.. but this artists would never stick on just one interpretation i think.. so make yourself your own picture.

  • What's with this video? Jesus Fucking Christ. I'm trying to listen to a love a song you godhumping freaks

  • @mcmitch57 Yeah, it's not a love song either. Well, in a sick way it is. But it's about somebody that's accepts being beaten as a form of love.

  • @StarvingSound

thanks for the clarification. that's brutal. i can't even listen to it any more.

  • good songs are always writen better from a person who has experienced the highs and lows in life. aspecially the lows, this song is great, i just hope he never really had to put up with the punches from a lover for inspiration cos its sad to think he was lying there looking at the stars on the ceiling cos he just got punched so hard. punches never come from love.. they come from twisted jellous in secure assholes who think its a way of controling you, they lose everything in the end. nice song!

  • This is just so emotional and has such powerful content...It's beyond the obvious and in order to "feel it" we must be in a certain state of mind. One of the biggest masterpieces I have ever listenned to. It's impossible to get sick of it!

  • Mamusiu. Dziekuję ci za wszystko i pozdrawiam:)

  • is lou reed playing the guitar on this as well as the talking in the intro?

  • @elleisimo Yeah, that screaming loud guitar-sound is vintage Lou.

  • Re-watching some episodes of Saving Grace... wow, this dude's voice is annoying to me. But to each his own, so no disrespect to those of you who like this. 456 likes to 5 dislikes doesn't lie.

  • I'm not sure what this sperm imagery is about...

  • i hate the video but the song is awesome !

  • @Jade4R whats wrong with the video?

  • stay together for the kids lol

  • When I hear this song the floor desapears and I seem to be falling... if perfection exists is this

  • Youtube has Baby by Bieber on the suggestions of this video... what the hell is wrong with them?!

  • maybe it was grey's anatomy?

  • i can't remember where i first heard this song..i'm sure it was a movie or a telefilm..someone who knows it?

  • @Simplychiara1991 It was on the soundtrack for the French film 'Little Whites Lies'...that's where I heard it anyway.

  • @Simplychiara1991 In France it was a soundtrack in a famous movie intiteled "Les Petits Mouchoirs" by the director Guillaume Canet and chere Marion Cotillard played in... Maybe you've see it....

  • Crimen Sollicitationis

  • This is probably my favorite vocal performance I've ever heard. Antony packs so much emotion into this, and when he opens up at the end, it gets me every time. Pure passion.

  • I think the fist are a metaphor for the economy and its affect on our emotions. The fetus is supposed to represent a wallet full of cash.

  • @cymbaline53 lololololololol.... LOL

  • @cymbaline53 lololololololol.... LOL

  • meravigliosa *_*

  • @dafnee84 direi quasi commovente...grandiosa non trovi????

  • @gnegnemi da brividi :)

  • 5:03 DEMON BABY

  • This song makes you think deeply, upsetting in a way, but beautiful

  • I've always been bothered by songs or videos that mention fetuses, breakfast, or horses.

    I don't know why.

  • Zomindiegirl, Obviously has no idea who this guy is. He IS NOT talking about being hurt by woman. He is a Gay cross dresser. He is a unbelievably talented musician, and to interpret his music I think you need to do a little more research on who this man is.

  • complimenti per il video! la voce di Antony è unica

  • i get horny so i can produce that mess?! the fuck......

  • this song is about s&m relationships

  • xd es el milagro de la vida hecho canción,,,,,,,,no le deis mas vueltas,,,,,,

  • no,no,no....pain is God's megaphone to rouse a deaf world? The very blows of his chisel....??? love is pain

  • I actually think it's about sadomasochism. "And I feel your fists

And I know it's out of love

    And I feel the whip

And I know it's out of love"

  • amazing voice amazing feeling - don't make judgments, just listen

  • I seem to remember reading somwehere that this song was about his relationship with his father. Despite the abuse, as a boy he was looking to him for 'hints and symbols' of affection. The fistful of love being his father's way of showing his love the only we he could.

Could be wrong but makes sense to me.

  • @ccdean100 Think you are absolutely spot on. My dad has been dead since 1969 but I still recognise exactly what you are saying. Anything to win approval was done by me. I even boxed eventually becoming British Champion just to get that bit of attention IT NEVER HAPPENED AND NOW AGED 55 i CARRY A LOT OF SCARS!!!

  • Just sit back and listen. Why bother trying to work the meaning. I heard on a long car journey alone, rang my fiance just to tell her how amazing it was,

  • This video is strange: the song is great but the video reminds me what my parents did. They took the decision to create me, now I live a life of quiet desperation despite their love. The fists represent what I would have done if I had been aware at this time of what was waiting for me...I would have told my mom "please don't do that, please don't create me". I hate this world more than anything. sorry for the english I'm french, but the song is great though

  • So many good memorys :')

  • kappaleen aika tuli ajatuksiin pieni riimitys : niin paljon, niin pienessä ajassa.... tunsin kosketuksesi....lämpösi... liikkeemme sulautuivat yhdeksi..... ... vain me kaksi....kaikki muu katosi tunsin lyönnit sydämesi.... tuoksusi, ihosi lämpö, katseesi.... kaikki tuo, pieniä asioita.... mielessäin...sydämessäin aina... jätit muiston pysyvän.... tunteen rakastavan....
  • cmon zomglindiegurl, it is abuse, and it isent her fists that hurt him, its his fists.... have a great day zomgurl:)

  • @alloveryou74 you mean and it is'nt "his" fists that hurt him, it's his fists

  • such a beautiful song,whatever the meanng

  • @thewigan1 damn straight :)

  • i think the fetus is a metaphor for the relationship. one being till you have to seperate even though afterwards you still love them their not a part of you

  • I hate this video,.

  • @morrisonclone well this is life, I guess.

  • amazing!!

  • Spärma?

  • So I'm left to pick up

The hints, the little symbols of your devotion

    pure poetry...

  • @MrsDylan1 I know, that lyric knocked me flat first time I heard it.

  • For me is the best song ever made...Brillllllllllllllllllliant!!!1

  • heartful

  • @RorySinn he is talking to whoever you want him to talk about.

  • @HermanEijerstax then hes talking about your momma

  • This song is so beautiful...it always makes me cry lol.

  • Its a great song. I could have done with a little more Lou Reed, but still fantastic...

  • It seems to be about the devotion Antony shows to his lover. And that the "Fistfull of Love" is potent and forceful as a result.

  • ¡ Maravilloso !

  • Oh and zomglndie, youre wrong...there would be no 'she' involved either!!

  • Oh my god, who the hell made this vid go with this song?? Thats is SO weird....babies in the womb!!?? Did the person who posted this have any brain cells at all?? Listen to the lyrics....all of them.

  • @Varlavine

The beauty of art is that all of us can have our personal impressions about it.

It would be a sad, sad world if everyone thought the same thing while listening to this song.

  • einfach wunderschöön.<3

  • Incredible!

  • What a song, amazing!!!!

  • love this song...

  • @Burnierodgersrocks , it must suck to be unfeeling in this terribly alienating world, mustn't it? It must suck to be you, and to smell like pure horse shit. It keeps friends at bay, don't it? You can help it though. You just have to try a bit harder.

  • @analbeard1976 , if people sang this during KAraoke instead of some dumb ass dance song that no one will care about in two weeks, maybe we'd live in a better world. A world where people could empathize, share and exchange experience, instead of bodily fluids. Your world sucks ass. Keep it to yourself. Cheers, friend.

  • @missingt00th You said exactly what I feel on a daily basis.....

  • @EwokianWisdom It's what most people feel on a daily basis, but too many of them fear stating it, for fear that they'll be ostracized. Our media makes people fear being ostracized, by its very nature. It'll change though. Trust me. It'll have to change.

  • @missingt00th My god. Have some fun.

  • @HolyZef Oh, I do. I love fun. I just hate ignorance, if you catch my drift, and it sounds like you do. Cheers, friend.

  • love this band

i always thought pregnancy was a urgh condition to be in but this video is sooo sweet how it shows the baby's development, journey its too sweet x

  • Sorry, what's the meaning of urgh?

  • @mperezde

it means nasty, uncomfortable, painful u know discomfort in general but i think this video shows it as sweet n beautiful x

  • @eikiebe

I'm so glad you had changed your opinion about pregnancy. I've always thought it's a great condition. In fact, my wife is a midwife!

  • The song doesn't match the video but I love both!!!!

  • I don't get it what is it pointing to!!!!?

    nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo;)

  • David I love you, I miss you so...

  • what a lovely song.......

  • Lol. duno if ur ryt bt it wud be hilarious if it was

  • :'(

  • 'we live together in a photograph of time,And I look into your eyes and the seas open up to me' reminds me of you Grandma. I know you cant tell me,Lonely without you.... MY MOTHER FATHER AND OTHER XXXX

  • @MsPlaceboAddict This song is about an S&M relationship.

  • My favorite song of theirs! I don't think it's about an abusive relationship...symbolism, folks

  • A sublime song with totally unrelated footage. Why?

  • Great song but I don't know what the random fetus has to do with it...?

  • @loserella55 Innit! What the hell is it to do with Babys! LOL

  • @gduane1516 Yeah if the song was called "Kickfuls of Love" it would make more sense lol.

  • @loserella55 doesn't have to have anything to do with it.

  • @loserella55 Maybe the picture of the fetus has sthg to do with the fact that babies tend to kick their mothers with their fists before they are born ;)... maybe these blows are "hints and little symbols" of their devotion to their mothers... go figure ;) ;)

(i'm trying really hard here lol)

  • theres many ways to listen and take in a song. two ways is one, to listen to the lyrics and two, is the sound, music and feeling it gives. i feel the music, the production of this song describes the birth of something as beautiful as a child. the lyrics describe a relationship he has or had where the only way his partner would show love by hitting him, being aggressive not showing any typical 'in love' emotions.

  • But in fact he is.

In this song I feel Antony is saying, 'thats alright' i understand you and i know 'this is out of love'

  • when I hear this voice I imagine embracing each other with my girlfriend

  • what ssbridge said -at least thats what i thought it was about (omg, awesome if it were).

  • Wow...!!

  • well, he is actually gay or in a relationship with a guy, and this song is actually about unrequited love, where he takes their agressiveness to be symbolism of caring and love, the lyrics are actually very sad :'(

  • You know, I don't think it's about abusive relationships..

I think it was the pain that caused him, that the person he loved no longer loved him back. That the look she gave him was hate rather than love, and the way she ignored him stung him like a whip. The things she did were like fists against him. And he can't bring himself to accept that, so he convinces himself that she's only being like that because she loves him.

That's the way I interpretate it anyway...

  • For the first, Antony only date men, and for the second, it is actually about an abusive relationship he was in in his twenties.

  • @ZomgIndieGurl I would say thats a good intepretation, however Antony is gay...so it would a him not a her:P

  • @ZomgIndieGurl

Change the she to a him ;)

  • @ZomgIndieGurl Even though the person it would be about would be a Male. But yes I do agree with you I interpret that way too, I think it is about Unrequited love more than anything, the person he loves beating him up and knowing that person likes him but he loves the abuser... I love any of his music!!

  • @ZomgIndieGurl hes talking about a he you homophobe

  • @RorySinn Yeah, thanks, a lot of people have told me this now. Just because I didn't automatically think he was gay, doesn't make me a homophobe.

  • @RorySinn Wow. That's a little harsh. She was honestly just mistaken and it really doesn't matter.

  • @ZomgIndieGurl I can basically agree, except on the issue that the person that Antony loves cannot be a she.

  • @ephantom6832

I believe he loves his mother. He even emulates her. He wants to be female because, the feminine, to Antony, represents care, commitment and love he found lacking in the distant male figure. His father maybee?

  • @ZomgIndieGurl, You have no idea who this guy is. He IS NOT talking about being hurt by a woman. He is a Gay cross dresser. He is a unbelievably talented musician, and to interpret his music I think you need to do a little more research on who this man is. If you find out who he is where hes comefrom his music will reach you on a entirely new level. Beautiful and heartbreaking

  • @ZomgIndieGurl she?

  • @ZomgIndieGurl

although it would've been a he not a she then wouldn't it....i think he's as gay as two boys kissing.

I think it's about complex and partly abusive relationships.

  • Duf 1005 -God I've been telling the same things to my friends...they never took me seriously

we are really winners to be among the VERY FEW

  • Thomas Verny says: who among us has been able to get on this planet, should acknowledge and remember to be already 'a winner!

  • its about stormy relationships that get violent not necessarily abusive ones, some women feel like when they are hit , they are loved, strange but its true,

  • I thought it was all about sticking his arm up his boyfriend's arse?

  • Bravoooooooo

  • i don't think the song's about abusive relationship.

It sounds more like a song sung by a man after a serious quarrell with his loved one: the emotions are high, the eyes are still burning, and now somebody has to make the first step towards reconciliation. The man's love is so great that he forgives all the pain caused by his lover, because he knows it springs from love. If she didn't care about him, there would be no heated argument, no pain inflicted. Love sometimes hurts...

  • I have you know that Antony is a tranny and he dates a man...

  • then what was it he felt on his body if it wasn't physical abuse?

"I feel your fist and I know it's out of love"

    pretty easy to decipher imho

  • It's more on the dominatrix side...

  • epic

  • Uno dei piu' bei video musicali mai realizzato sul Miracolo della Vita... lui e un ARTISTA dotato di vero genio musicale...

  • Absolutely awesome, one of my favourite ever songs!!!

  • that was lou wasnt it?

  • indeed it is

  • I Lili you!!!

  • quite a few people (myslef included) think it's about a sado-masochistic relationship. a nice, consentual one though! from the perspective of the submissive partner, a true love story, just different. i like that interpretation, i think it's beautiful.

  • It's about an abusive relationship he was in when he was in his twenties.

  • ahahah,anzimcome scrivono in spagna,jajaja,con la jota.

    venga a italia camarada.

  • LOL the reproductive process!

  • Yeah but sorry having this song entirely relating to babies and developing foetuses seems to be serving some strange agenda that I'm not sure Antony would agree with seeing as this is a song about domestic abuse.

  • I'm not sure this song is necessarily about domestic abuse. Just my opinion, that would be you interpreting the song. I just don't see it that way.

  • this song make me cry. ;)

  • wonderful!

  • Ich liebe dieses Lied und dann auch noch die wundervollen Bilder ... danke
