The math is wrong. Gravity is not centered in the crust, but in the center of the sphere. If you are inside the crust, and the earth is hollow, then the side far away will pull as much as the small part next to you. In effect, you are weightless inside the ball. This theory from the movie is logically impossible.
Bad News ppl, for those who belive in Hollow Earth. In 2007 a guy named Cornel Galescu from Romania made an expedition to the North Pole. They crossed on foot all the ice cap. They walked about 300km in 9 days. They recorded the expedition. There are jurnals. There is no hole there, only ice :) Maybe at the South Pole is something......that'a a new storry :)

People amuse me with how they strongly cling to believing what they were told growing up. This guy is a lost cause, but here goes: 1) the poles are routinely imaged by passive and active microwave satellites - see SSM/I and AMSR-E data, or check out Radarsat data; 2) few remote sensing satellites have orbits that pass directly over the poles - orbits are inclined about 9 degrees to help to maintain illumination geometries re: terrain and solar panels; 3) people visit and fly over the poles routinely; 4) the nature of seismic waves demonstrates that the planet is not freaking hollow.
Why take a multimillion dollar expedition to the North Pole when you can purchase an airline ticket that will take you over the pole. Your claim is that there is a hole up to 1,200 miles across. Since the fall of the USSR the number of cross polar flights has sky rocketed. Some of those are within a degree or two of the pole and you can actually see it as you fly over it. Any flight during the Northern Hemisphere summer is guaranteed to cross during the "daytime".

I prefer not to complicate the argument by trying to further explain how large it is, what is inside of it and possible routes of access. Thus pressure is zero and there is no high pressure to solidify molten iron. At the very least, the core is a very low density sponginess. Geologists THEORIZE that the core is iron because that is the element that matches their calculated density for a solid Earth. Who says that the shell of the Earth cannot be a dense metal?

I can envision that the Earth is a small star that is not able to "blow away" the atomic matter of its solar wind. It accumulates at a radius where repulsion/attraction forces are in balance. In time this accumulation forms its own structure and strength. An outer crust or hollow shell. Very thick to be sure!

If the Earth was hollow, it would not maintain its orbit, earthquakes would not propagate and echo as they do, plate tectonics would not function as they do, there would be no volcanoes - the problems go on and on. Um, am I nuts or does Newton's Universal Law of Gravitation answer just about every question posed on this topic? If the earth is just a shell, unless it's all made of something REALLY dense (that would probably be radioactive and KILL us) how does it have the gravitational pull that it does?

ok, granted i dont have a PhD like this guy claims but im relatively sure you cant physically have negative gravity. if anything you'd be equally attracted to all walls of the "inner earth". and a huge flaw is this inner sun. something with that sort of reaction would no doubt be massive, creating gravity itself. combine that with the shoddy graphics and i think a 4th grader could tell a more believable story using microsoft paint.
Right you are. With gravity in the center of the crust, you would be standing on the inside of the crust. Newton's thin-crust theory does not apply to thick crusted spheres as once thought. We're 8 miles down already and gravity hasn't lessened a bit.
I dont think i completely understand you. In either model, solid earth or hollow earth, gravity would increase as you got closer to the center of gravity. It wouldnt decrease in either, especially not with the center sun you're proposing is in the middle. Something as massive as a small sun would create gravity larger than that of the walls so theres no way you'd be able to walk on the "interior" walls of the crust.

This guy is a lost cause, but here goes: 1) the poles are routinely imaged by passive and active microwave satellites - see SSM/I and AMSR-E data, or check out Radarsat data; 2) few remote sensing satellites have orbits that pass directly over the poles - orbits are inclined about 9 degrees to help to maintain illumination geometries re: terrain and solar panels; 3) people visit and fly over the poles routinely; 4) the nature of seismic waves demonstrates that the planet is not freaking hollow.

Why take a multimillion dollar expedition to the North Pole when you can purchase an airline ticket that will take you over the pole. Your claim is that there is a hole up to 1,200 miles across. Since the fall of the USSR the number of cross polar flights has sky rocketed. Some of those are within a degree or two of the pole and you can actually see it as you fly over it. Any flight during the Northern Hemisphere summer is guaranteed to cross during the "daytime".

Thanks for the clarification about the inner iron crystal Dr A. It is quite fascinating to me. I am only attempting to explain why the Earth must have a void in it. I prefer not to complicate the argument by trying to further explain how large it is, what is inside of it and possible routes of access. I imagine that this inner iron crystal would be in the form of a hollow sphere as well.

That's where the controversy remains, it seems. How much distance is between the core and the crust? It has to be there, because there is no signature coming from the friction between the two surfaces. Silence. Pretty cool.

Molten lava exists in the crust only where the expansionary forces are grinding the rock and creating heat. When this process happens quickly enough, pressure and molten rock build up since heat is being generated faster than it can escape The lava is then ultimately released in a volcanic eruption. No one, to my knowledge, has ever identified a single lava plume comming from a molten outer core. Again this is just theory parading as fact.

There is no solid iron core since as the center of mass is approached, assuming a solid Earth, the density decreases to zero. Thus pressure is zero and there is no high pressure to solidify molten iron. At the very least, the core is a very low density sponginess. Geologists THEORIZE that the core is iron because that is the element that matches their calculated density for a solid Earth. Who says that the shell of the Earth cannot be a dense metal?

This would be consistent with our distance from the Sun and our current orbital speed. What is is controversy is the existence of a gap between teh core and the crust. Since gravitational forces cancel out at the center of mass other forces, perhaps surface tension between molecules and atoms, would tend to organize the mass into the 3 dimensional shape with relatively uniform density and the lowest possible potential energy. Then it should be hollow as well. So you have two crusts. But then, what about the middle of those? You would end up having an infinite number of crust layers then and right in between them there would be zero gravity. I wonder though, if anyone going on that expedition really expects to find anything and return as well.

It is certain that the net force of gravity at the center of the Earth is nulled out by an equal quantity of mass on all sides in all directions. The question for me now is, "what is the pressure?" If the net force of gravity on the inside of a shell is zero everywhere, as current gravitational theory and mathematics predicts, then the Earth is likely, not certainly, solid. If there is any net gravitational attraction to the inside of the shell then it is almost certainly hollow.

I can envision that the Earth is a small star that is not able to "blow away" the atomic matter of its solar wind. It accumulates at a radius where repulsion/attraction forces are in balance. In time this accumulation forms its own structure and strength. An outer crust or hollow shell. Very thick to be sure!

If the Earth was hollow, it would not maintain its orbit, earthquakes would not propagate and echo as they do, plate tectonics would not function as they do, there would be no volcanoes - the problems go on and on. Hollow Earth is just an old myth, and just saying "they could be wrong" doesn't give it any more credibility than the tooth fairy.
Extraordinary claims demand extraordinary evidence.

Um, am I nuts or does Newton's Universal Law of Gravitation answer just about every question posed on this topic? If the earth is just a shell, unless it's all made of something REALLY dense (that would probably be radioactive and KILL us) how does it have the gravitational pull that it does?
Also, there's NO gravity in a hollow sphere ANYWHERE. Any internal metal "sun" the size of the one depicted would be the only gravitational draw and would gobble up everything not adhered to the crust.

The earth is hollow and it isn't!
In fact it is filled in the inside, but not with a core and magma, but with gas and plasma ( a proto-matter). The plasma and the hot gas produces continuesly new matter and makes our crust expand. That's why our continents fitted together 65mio years ago - cos the earth was smaller!
If there is an inner world, it's just a giant caval system in the crust, not in the inner of the earth. The hot gas in the inside makes life impossible.

We have made no claim of cities, or even life being inside the Earth. We merely state the "genre" and post the questions for the viewer. ok, granted i dont have a PhD like this guy claims but im relatively sure you cant physically have negative gravity. if anything you'd be equally attracted to all walls of the "inner earth". and a huge flaw is this inner sun. something with that sort of reaction would no doubt be massive, creating gravity itself. combine that with the shoddy graphics and i think a 4th grader could tell a more believable story using microsoft paint.

Right you are. With gravity in the center of the crust, you would be standing on the inside of the crust. Newton's thin-crust theory does not apply to thick crusted spheres as once thought. We're 8 miles down already and gravity hasn't lessened a bit.

I dont think i completely understand you. In either model, solid earth or hollow earth, gravity would increase as you got closer to the center of gravity. It wouldnt decrease in either, especially not with the center sun you're proposing is in the middle. Something as massive as a small sun would create gravity larger than that of the walls so theres no way you'd be able to walk on the "interior" walls of the crust.

Not set sail yet. You might of heard the Flat-Earthers say that (in their eyes the arctic circle is a barrier.)
Hollow Earthwise I've looked into the expeditions latest status and they are looking at sometime this summer in setting sail.
It's the cash that's the problem, it costs a lot of money to get the nuclear-powered vessel chartered. If they get the cash they'll be good to go.

a question, is it the north polar basin you are going to? cus thats where the deepening in the crust is and where you might just have to dig into? or its like a whatertube so big you cant even see the other side of it, because it's so far away? trying to picture it here..
