Focusing on the Eastern Conference for a moment, things are getting interesting. Ottawa is simply unstoppable right now, and, after a slow start, the Sabres look amazing as well. Toronto has a few issues to deal with, including their goaltending battle.
Tough choice for the cup this year. I'm gonna have to go with San Jose and New York (Rangers obviously) to make the finals. I have to disagree with Paul about Thornton. He is everything for San Jose. With that said I still am gonna have to pick the Rangers for the win. They have the perfect mix of leadership and skill with young guys in the mix and their goaltending is better than San Jose's. The defense by committee is going to have to work again this year. Lets see what happens.
