  • I have been watching this video loads over the past week, like crack.

  • The original's havoc of the prom seemed more raw and authentic. This one was a bit too theatrical...all that Carrie-face-shaking-with-the-same-indifferent-stare. Still...the book beats all

  • I would love to see the musical of Carrie. Good editing job !

  • I wish I was cariee

  • Am I the only one who knows the music playing over this is from the musical version? Haha. Love it. But this '02 remake leaves much to be desired. The '76 original can't be beat. It has got an incredibly evocative score and Carrie looks truly devastated during this scene, unlike this version where she seems to be having an epileptic seizure.

  • @LaMisereHQ I hope you're not the only one who knows that, because that means nobody is reading the description.

  • I personally think both versions go hand in hand. I watch the 1st movie then the remake. Both actresses did a wonderful performance. The original of course is my favorite, but the remake covers the destruction of the town. I'm glad a T.V. series wasn't done after the remake though, because to be quite honest, there's not a lot they would be able to do with the story. I love how the song from the musical was edited in here, very well done, thank you :)

  • esse é o clipe mais besta que ja vi

  • Horror Movie Survival Guide Rule #58: Never make fun of the shy, quiet, unpopular girl in school. If you do, either apologize and befriend her or skip the prom.

  • Stupidest remake ever

  • this was a good "remake" in sense of the fact its a flash back and not he sequel

the actuall sequel to carrie is the rage and that was a really bad movie

but the revend was relly fucking brutal

  • beast

  • great movie 1 and 2 angela she hot stuff

  • very good tribute, well done

  • 3 people gonna get owned by carrie

  • Poor dear sweetie Carrie...

  • I actually like this one better then the orignal...

  • Sweet revenge =D

  • And by the way dont litter...

  • This Carrie is pretty and beautiful but I'm gonna go for the original film from 1976.

This film was okay because of new movie qualities and the she lives in this one.

  • Is it okay if you can use the same audio with the 1976 version? I'm not saying I don't like this version. It's good. But I would also like to see 1976 because, well, it's also good. I'm not saying that one is better than the other. That's all...

  • @MsGirlPower101 I originally was going to do this using the 1976 scene, but this one was easier to edit.

  • @v1de0gamr okay. that's easy to understand. =)

  • Rule of thumb, don't cheat on Satan.

  • I saw the stage production on broadway, thank you for putting together this video with the bway song its fabulous !!!

  • The music in the end sounded somewhat somber. As if Carrie SOMEHOW feel a little remorse in the massacre

  • @etraig you're right, the dress is identical =)

  • hey! that other girl is wearing a copy of julia roberts' Oscar dress!

nice vid, the musical had good music.

if they do revive it, they need to rework some things, i know it needs different sets and costumes at least.

  • I know it seems crazy, but the remake of this scene is perhaps even scarier than the original! I mean, seriously, look at her face! It's horrifying!

  • i like how tommy takes off his crown after the blood gets dumped. kinda shows that he's not a jerk after all

  • @jkrfan7 it shows he cares about Carrie as well.

  • You timed that video very well. i liked it.

  • I never understood why this play was a flop? In every song track, you can hear people applauding. Obviously the play wasn't that bad?

  • @v1de0gamr i think it was because financial problems and people probably expceted more than what showed in the play/musical. I think they expected more blood dumped on carrie but it would mess up her microphone. Also some actors nearly died or got injured severly during production so they quit and people thought it would be exactly or close to the movie or novel, it was but not as close as people hoped. but still a great play/musical

  • According to the official website, Carrie the Musical is getting a revival (with some changes to the script and score) Let's hope they do it right this time.

  • @v1de0gamr hopefully! and whats the website?

  • Carrie the Musical [dot] com

  • (no spaces obviously)

  • Ah!! I tried to go there, even googled it. The page is like, nonexistent anymore!

  • i have to say... i don't like angela bettis's 'interpretation' of carrie... it's so... weird... way too much of the shaking... way too many weird faces (like ever prior to having the blood dropped on her...) it's just so... awkward to watch... I mean Sissy Spacek was damn scary with her stares... Angela just kinda makes me want to laugh...

Now I do like Angele Bettis, the movie May freaked me out lol

  • Originally I wanted to do this with the prom scene from Sissy Spacek's film, but this scene was easier to edit.

  • do you think you could try with the Sissy Spacek version! I think it would be awesome!

  • That was totally awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I kind of wish that it hadn't been such a flop, so I could at least have the music, haha.

  • I have the music, and trust me, it's not all good.

  • I dressed up as Carrie for Halloween, most people were like "Who's Carrie?" or "Are you Bloody Mary?" I mean, if you don't know who Carrie is look her up, then have nightmares (;

  • amen

  • I know what you mean. A friend of mine was trying to figure out what to be this past Halloween, and I suggested she go as Carrie, and she replied "...that chick from Sex and the City?"

Dang it, I'm too young to be in this side of the generation gap!

  • I actually quite like this song. I find it chilling and Linzi Hateley's voice is intense and creepy!

  • indeed

  • The reason why the ending is so different is because they were thinking of maybe trying to turn it into a weekly series. I know ridiculous.

  • i watched the movie and i didn't really liked it.

  • Not everyone does. I liked that it was a more faithful adaptation of the book than the 1976 film, but I didn't really like the new ending.

  • I love this because it's my two favourite carries combined! The way they were meant to be

  • so you said ;)

  • yeah, let the bodies hit the floor!

  • That song might work too =)

  • die bullies die!!

  • It's weir cause I'm a shy, quiet, outsider at my school O.o

  • Can you move things with your mind?

    *backs away slowly*

  • .......maybe.......MUAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHHAHHA. o.o

  • eep

  • >:]] lol, my name starts with a C and ends in an E XP like Carrie

  • I can!

  • I really love it. Especially when you have the bucket fall with the other music, and those kind of touches.

I really hope Wicked the Movie is a success, and they want to make a Carrie The Movie too (or bring it back to the stage or both.)

It's most excellent. Congratulations on an outstanding job.

  • oh yes. Wicked the movie would be amazing. I loved the play!

  • Now I am REALLY guna be true BFF'S to the weird nobodies and make sure every one else does too!

  • it doesnt matter what version you look at....everyone learns the same lesson - you dont f**k with carrie x ]

  • Horror Movie Survival Guide Rule #132: Always be nice to the shy, quiet, unpopular girl in school.

  • Horror Movie Survival Guide Rule #286: Pigs blood is not now, nor has it ever been, funny.

  • the two most perfect carries in the world blended into one pinnacle of doom by telekinesis

  • the music rocks

  • i love this mix almost looks like they were meant to be together :)

  • profound beauty. Best mix between the musical and the movie. loved it!

  • thank you very much =)

  • if carrie was revived i think Linzi Hateley would make a brillent Miss Gardner, it would be a fantastic way to start the show

  • I always thought Linzi would be awesome in the role of Mama, she has some of the best songs in the production.

  • i think shes a little bit too young to play mama just now

  • She's 38 now, and she'll probably be 40 when (if) the play revives on Broadway. Piper Laurie was 44 when she played Mama, Patricia Clarkson was 43, and Betty Buckley was 41. I don't think she's too young :)

  • oh okay then

but i can see her as a Miss Gardner, not a mama but i dont know maybe she will be good at it

  • Eh, either way, they're all dead by the play's end anyway lol!

  • yeah now there is a point haha

poor sue she must be sooo fucked up by the end

  • I dunno, she seems to be somewhat adjusted by the time of Carrie 2

  • yeah but that 23 years, and shes still gittery in Carrie 2, imagine what it was like for the first 5 years...her poor mother

  • well you'd be jittery too if your boyfriend and all of your friends died in one night.

  • pfft she should swallow and get over it, haha

but what i dont understand is...if her school was burned down and she became mentally unstable for a while, how did she get the grades to go to university and become and guidance councillor

  • As one of probably only a dozen or so surviving member of her senior class, I'm pretty sure they had to give her her diploma. She probably attended college after she got out of the mental hospital.

Or she got a degree by mail.

  • What do you think of Patti Lupone as Mama? As far as I'm concerned, she's the closest we can come to a second Betty Buckley

  • yeah shed be good coz she bloody scares me. So we have Patty LuPone as Mamma, Linzi Hateley as Miss Gardner and who would be your dream carrie?

  • An unknown making her Broadway debut, just like Linzi

  • my dream carrie is angela bettis with a kerry ellis voice xD

  • I'd really like to see Julia Murney as Mama. She has the intense look and acting down pat, and is quite the enthralling singer, IMO.

  • oh i do like that idea...well done

  • dude omigod thats a perfect idea goodness!

  • maybe im not 20 maybe im older...u never know and besides u should never put personal stuff on the internet

  • I do love this video! It's almost like carrie the musical movie

  • I wish I had more fans like you lol!

  • well im the kind of person who: if i love somthing i REALLY love it but if i hate it i WILL tell you so, and this i certainly love!

i think i just made a new friend lol

  • What do you mean "just made"? I accepted your friend request yesterday LOL!

  • yeah but you can accept someone you dont know, its when the person makes you laugh and you enjoy the conversations you are having when you realise they are a friend of yous

  • this is brillent, i love the alam mater bit as it genuinly looks real, then the music from the destruction works brillently, angela bettis and linzi hateley are my favourite Carrie's so you have combined them and created the perfect video well done,

  • Thank you very much =)

Angela Bettis and Linzi Hately are both very talented and awesome in the role, but there will never be another Sissy Spacek :)

  • i dont know, sissy spacek is brillant no doubt about it but angela bettis was the 1st carrie i watched so she kind of stuck on me, and as for lizi hateley shes just amazing fulls stop, i saw her in Mamma Mia last month and she blew me away, anyway sissy spacek scares me a little bit with those hug creepy eyes of hers

  • This is strictly an opinion, but I think those big creepy eyes of hers only added to the character lol!

Linzi Hateley owes so much to this musical, as it was her musical debut. She feels that she is where she is today because of Carrie. There's a petition on her website to bring Carrie back to Broadway. I signed.

  • i have also signed, i think it was just way too big for its day, i mean with theatre effects nowadays it would be a huge sucess, Linzi Hateley is amazing and i do adore her, i still cant believe Carrie is actually a british musical, i think thats what the problem was, back in the day no one over here knew about proms and things like that so it was bound to fail, although over here it lasted more than a month

  • I didn't know the musical failed in the UK too, most of the British reviews I read online were mostly positive. Be that as it may, a month still beats out 3 days, which is how long it lasted on Broadway.

Call me crazy, but I think Carrie would have the best chance as a movie musical.

  • yeah because then the fans of carrie who still havnt heard of the musical would see it and love it,

it didnt exactly fail over here it just didnt do as well as everyone had anticipated, it was origianly meant to play for 6 months but closed after 6 weeks so not so good,

i do agree about the movie musical, its an amazing show it just needs CGI effects

  • If you like my video, check out TrouserTube1's video of "And Eve Was Weak." I was going to do that one originally, but he beat me to it lol!

He uses clips from the Brian DePalma film, and I think he did a great job.

  • yeah i saw it, i was very impressed.

I think you should do the song Carrie, you could use clips from the whole film as she is singing about herself, that would be a good one to do *hint* *hint*

  • You read my mind, Ryan, I had actually thought about doing that one lol.

But it'll be a video for another time. Right now I'm in the process of making a different youtube vid.

  • well i do have that talent lol

im like carrie but telepathic haha

what are you working on now?

  • This was excellent! I can't believe how well you were able to match up the song and the movie!

  • Thank you very much. It actually turned out to be easier than I originally thought it would be, because the Destruction song was mostly music =)

  • ive seen both the musical and the movie and thought they both are great and now its even better!

  • Thank you =)

I never got to see the Broadway show (I was 6 when it came out), but I did manage to catch an unauthorized production at a dinner theater (of all places lol). Where did you see the musical?

  • your page says your only 20 so how come you have seen the musical when you are only 20 meaning you were born the year carrie was premierd.

  • Maybe, like me, he didn't see it on Broadway

  • i never seen it on broadway, at no point have i ever said i saw it on broadway considering i live in scotland so we go to the West End not Broadway and also the fact im 17 so it was long before my tim

  • sorry i posted that last comment without finishing it,

...but i would kill to see it again, i once performed in a crappy version of it as someone from my school downloaded the script and score off the internet but the score was only piano

  • most school productions of musicals are only piano (most of my school's were). I feel it loses something without an array of instruments.

  • I meant maybe chasealexander55 didn't see it on Broadway

  • i know sorry i misread and thought that was for me haha

  • Thank you :)

  • Much better than mine!

  • I would disagree, I like yours better :)

  • I wanted to post this as a video response to your Eve Was Weak vid, but it won't let me for some reason :-/
