i was just wondering, i imported my canon 7d movie clip to imovie09 and i was shooting 1080 at 24p. When i watched it back on imovie and i entered it at full screen, it seemed really pixely and wasn't very hd looking at all. Any ideas as to why that may be? Do you think its because imovie doesnt support 1080?

Check the settings on the import screen to make sure it is importing it at the original quality (1080p).

In addition, check your recording settings. An ISO of over 800 tends to show a lot of grain on the resulting video footage. A shutter speed lower than 1/60 tends to cause trailing or ghosting when the subject is moving at a moderate to fast pace.

Great clip. I love the picture quality. Can I just ask (being new to these cameras) what is the big differences between the say the 7d and the 500d??? The price difference is huge. And from what I have seen in picture quality, there isnt much difference. Any thoughts? Id really appreciate it as im looking at getting a new canon now :)

I just watched this 5x. Having a late night smoke, this video and its vivid portrayal of the Filipino sub-culture is amazing. Shoot in HD - 1280x720 pixels (16:9) movie setting and you'd be getting full screen and get rid of the black edges
