I didnt go for coilies, I went for Eibach springs with Bilstein shocks. I spent about the same as a cheap-mid set of coilies and have been pretty happy with my decision.
In the present economic climate anything from £2500 to £5000 depending upon condition mileage etc, They are pretty rare and can be hard to find a good example for sale.
hi, my advice is to do it properly and get yourself a BMC CDA. Its a little more expensive than some of its competitors but is well worth it. I guarantee it'll put a smile on your face face when u hear it roar as the vvt kicks in at 3500rpm .The BMC sounds great, looks good and is easy too fit too. The model u need for this car is the CDA 70-130.
As I was bored I put together a quick vid of some pics of my BMC. I've posted it as a video response to this video so that you can see it fitted in a car like yours. If you want to hear it in action check out some of my other videos. Better still subscribe!! lol
Hehe well spotted! that was caused by an idiot woman in a 4x4 who couldnt reverse park. Anyway I bought a replacement panel (in the correct colour) from ebay for a fiver. Just need to get around to fitting it now.
Ebay! £70 from seller mtec100. Search ebay for "VW CORRADO GOLF PASSAT G60 Drilled Grooved Brake Discs".
Easy to fit, I did it myself in about an hour. You will need to buy G60 front caliper carriers as the standard GTI carriers are not big enough to take the 280mm discs.
Lockheed front 280mm grooved/drilled discs from a a Scirocco G60, with Ferrodo Track pads (very harsh). Stops on a dime! Amazing stopping power on a light car. Emergancy stop and the car is at a standstill before the speedo has wound down to zero!
This car gave me lots of ideas how to upgrade my 6n2.
