@mccaf2250 Thanks for the honest reply. I suspected that. I won't let it put me off, i'll progress slowly and try to keep as many crashes as possible for the simulator. I recently did my first loops and my legs were shaking! When I can upside down hover i'll be thrilled.

@RogerBadgerDSFlyer Keep with it man. I recently bought an mcp x after flying a blade msr around for a while. I did a little flying on the sim but after only 3 months of 3d I'm inverted hovering and doing all kinds of flips and piro flips. The best thing I've done is get the mcp x. I put that thing into the ground 100 times and you pick it back up check the gears and try again. I really don't crash anymore unless trying something new. Stick with it you learn every time you crash.

@mccaf2250 Thanks for the good advice. Your MCP X sounds awesome. I looked it up and would quite like to get one, however because I have a Futaba FASST radio which I use for my Trex and a host of other RC aeroplanes and gliders, i'm scuppered. Investing in another radio blows the budget considerable. I am told the rtf package, whilst it will work, does not have a radio that is programmable. I don't know how necessary this is though? What radio do you use? thanks!

@RogerBadgerDSFlyer I use a DX6i because I also have a blade 400 but you are able to fly 3d with the stock mcp x radio. You just don't have the adjust ability that I have with the computer radio.

hey folks. just a question on 3g! because I have come to turn the small wire from the servos to the receiver reversed .. can the 3g be destroyed or damaged?

After over a decade of flying I am now officially bored with 'new generation' of 3D. I mean seriously, back in the day it was smooth and graceful and seemingly defied gravity, now it looks so herky jerky with stupid 'smack. I started getting into flying like the current 3D gen but I realized how ridiculous it looks and how hard it is on the heli. But hey its great for sales and parts and wearing things out! No wonder the new type of flying was brought about by factory pilots, keep the $ coming.

@TheTruthHurtsYup Well you see it is the hardest form of r/c heli flight... It takes the most skill and is a big accomplishment to master a heli in smackdown 3D flight... I would never bother with smackdown, cause I couldn't afford the crashes etc, but to those who do smackdown 3D, fair play!

Wahnsinn... kann mir jemand erklären wie das funktioniert daß der Heli "quer" fliegt bitte ?! Eigentlich "drückt" der Rotor doch die Luft nach unten wodurch er fliegt. Aber er fliegt ja auch so daß Luft zur Seite geblasen wird... Unglaublich !

Great flying Alan. Was this 3G unit with or without the Leon Luke Mod? what kind of mounting method did you use on the 3G Unit? Why dont you include your mounting directions and other tips in the 3G manual. Nobody elses 3G holds this great without modifications.... What is the secret?

It wont be as neat as usual tho its a 550 , you only really get truthfully presice manuvers with a 700 , even my 600 looks untidy in some flights

wow nice flying you never cease to amaze me with your skills how many cells in the batterie pack? 6 or 8? on an other note, can I ask you a tip about a 600 I just received? was planing on puting a 120A ESC 8s 5000mAh batterie 880kv motor do you think it would be good? and what size of pinion would be right with that? - now I'm just itching to take my 450 out since I received the last parts I needed to finish the repairs... crashed it :-( - thanks for any answer keep them coming
