Not the happiest reaction to the surprise. I want to do the surprise pet thing for my son but only after it's been discussed and planned with my hubby.
@ChelseaBlacker For sure lol. My sister and I surprised our mom with two cats when I was a pre-teen. Luckily, she let us keep them but she wasn't pleased either! Bless you for taking care of your cat's health issues, that's a hefty vet bill!
Clearly I didn't know he was ill at the time. And he was only 2 months, hardly an adult! He's turned into the most loving cat, and walks around begging to be picked up and cuddled, def a great gift if you ask me.

@19sweetandbrown86 Definitely seems like the wisest option for kids! Its a bit different when the kids plan and discuss to surprise the parents!
