  • RIP - truly an inspiration

  • Just when you think your going well zzzzzzzzzzzzaaap

RIP DJ gone but not forgotten

  • Notice it’s the bikers not the car drivers not using their mirrors, and out of the bikers it’s the "I'm racing god" and the "Anal Mr perfect" types who are the culprits.

  • @jimmyrottencauli like you can see who's using ther mirrors? idiot and as if you would have time to notice someone this quick? he would be out of sight before you even heard him.

  • Who the fuck would dislike this video.... absolute cunts!!!

    RIP Big Fella....

  • how hi die?

  • Bet the fella at 4.14 sold the bike when he got back home!

    RIP DJ

  • It makes me want to get the bike out !!! Dave you were an inspiration to thousands, a great Yorkshireman with no frills..I Loved you mate R.I.P and I'm a Lancastrian.

  • I Did mad sunday on 2002, it was great, but to see David Jeffries racing was the icing on the cake, for big guy he could sure throw a bike around. What a loss to the sport.

  • HIS LINES ARE FUCKING PERFECTION!!! THEEEE MAN!! MOTO GP??????????? WTF IS THAT???

  • @siddymoney no, Moto GP is for pussies, this is the real deal

  • 4.11 DOES IT FOR ME........JOE BLOGGS ON HIS SRAD THINKS HE GOING SOME!!! WELL HE WAS UNTIL DJ WAS ON HIS ARSE!!! QUALITY!!

  • See the fella at 4.14 just past bungalow-bet he shit himself!

  • R.I.P. Big Fella..

  • THOSE WHO RISK NOTHING,DO NOTHING,ACHIEVE NOTHING,BECOME NOTHING.

  • 2:49 porsche n fireblade racing each other, wonder what they thought when the master came past like they were standing still :D

  • Still sends shiver's down my back i wish i could ride a bike even half as good RIP fella.....

  • Feck me. Imagine being one of those people in the cars and then seeing this bloke go flying past you into a bend leant right over at 150mph. You would just shit yourself on the spot in amazement.

  • he wasn't going all out on this one. would have liked to see him to an on-board at Isle of Man.

  • There's a full lap at race speed (in two parts) by DJ from TT2002 on here, if you look for it.

  • what?

  • 150 mph?

    And the rest.

  • these guys are knee down at 150 mph crossing painted lines and arrows on the road dodge cow shit...fuckin balls man

  • fuck all these SBK and MOTOGP boys...this man is a LEGEND x

  • i have not known of david here, but now that i do , i realize fear was not is his dictionary, he was a great racer.

  • :<) D.J passing that guy and power wheelying ( at 3:00). I bet the other rider thought 'bloody show-off' - little did he know who was riding past him...It's a shame the mountain road now has even more coned-off choke points, traffic lights at the Creg...not so much fun anymore - but all in the name of safety.

  • I've made a few comments on this vid bit it's worthy of a few more

The bit at 4.20 up hailwood rise flat out and cranked right over on the blobs.

    Shat meself.

  • thank you david for a 6:22 minutes of glory....

  • and to think we use to get exceited at moto gp thanks david

  • Ghostrider: Go, piss yourself over this :-) THIS is street racing

  • ma macchine nel verso contrario non ne arrivano mai?

tutta la strada è a senso unico????

  • I giorni prima dell'inizio del TT mi sembra che la strada si possa percorrere solo in una direzione...

  • Very reminiscent of the Deals Gap in America

  • What a load of cr*p..........he was hitting 170mph + on that run. You care lucky if you can get out of 3rd on a sportbike on 'the dragon' whch is just corner after corner after corner .

  • Cracking vid , got me going again after wet wet weather in wales uk. Cheers Dave your a star . P.S keep left if your slow , he showed a lot of patience with than Pan dillcok. Good man .

  • This is what true riding skills is all about.

    That run was fucking nuts!!!

No car whatsoever can give you that experience and adrenaline rush as bikes do.

  • F1 can!

  • The BEST video on youtube.

    Should be complusory viewing.

The bit where he overtakes the Porker at 2.50 scares the bejesus out of me every time I watch it. And I'm sitting in my living room.

  • So smooth and makes it look sooooo easy. Year after year he broke the average speed record...the guy was a genius. RIP Big Dave.

  • Holy shit

  • great rider used to go to college with him used to be a plant fitter believe it or not

  • is that a one way road? this guy kicks ass

  • This part of the TT course is one way for the duration of the TT (two weeks)...if you think this guy is hot, you should have seen him race!

  • Priveliged to have known such a great rider, never forgotten

  • So fast yet so controlled, an awesome rider who was just so fucking capable.

    Brilliant

  • Love watching this Clip - used to have the DVD but lent it a biker m8 & never seen it since!

DJ you are still one of my all time favourite riders -

Rest In Peace Big Man - you showed the world how to ride the TT

  • Man... in my own particular way, I also like to be the fastest on any road. I live in México, so it is possible to achieve it mostly everywhere, cause the police aren´t as interested in speeding bullets more than drug vans.... By the way, stimulant drugs or primary impulsivity, are a bad combination with a bike. I sold mine and am getting a race car. Nice video and nice driving too. Keep it up and be safe.

  • this portion of the road does not have any speed limits so no "laws" are being broken. No different then taking a ride around the Ring....

  • Comment removed

  • this is how public roads should be ;D

  • rip big man

  • holy crap!!

  • What bike is he driving ?

  • not sure but i think it was a suzuki gsx1000

  • yep correct was a GSXR 1000

  • gixa 1000

  • GODSPEED

  • r i p

  • THE TRAFFIC DOESN'T EXIST IN MAN!!!

  • DJ Legend

    RIP

  • Do you know how he died???

Show some respect for one of the greatest road racers ever...

DJ was if you watch it again was making room for people around him and was well within his own limits.

    RIP DJ

  • No on coming traffic ringkoeing so its not an open road then is it.

He died do what he loved, the accident was not his fault a racer in front of him had dropped oil onto the track and he stood no chance.

I have been to the TT and I am going this year as well, when you have seen the racers close up you understand how skilled they are...

DJ still my number 1 racer......

  • there is no oncoming traffic its only open 1 way on mad sunday

  • You fucking knob....there is no oncoming traffic you dumb twat......David WAS WELL within his own limits...your ignorant of the subject you are commenting on.....pull your neck in

  • Ringkoenig,

You win the prize for stupidest posting on youtube. Congratulations

  • It's a race on CLOSED roads.

The guys that do the Isle of Man TT and other road racers deserve huge respect.

At least have a half a clue what you are talking about nexrt time.

  • you are the worlds most ignarent man

dont talk about things you dont know

and saying you have no respect for a man who did 127mph avarage speed roun d the tt is retarded

  • What a fuckin idiot you are..Ignorant and stupid to boot...Shut Up

  • Ringkoenig

    Check your facts you moron!!

  • you fucking sap

  • I can't believe he's been gone that long. I remember the incident like it was yesterday...

  • Still won't be this year that i'll be there...

Hope I won't be to old to ride when my time comes...!

  • 4:08 shows how much in control of that bike - legend never to be forgotten.

  • quality m8 fookin el av it !

  • Comment removed

  • made it look so easy a true legend

  • Total control. Keep riding big man. I'm sure God would lend you one of his bikes. RIP

  • RIP big Dave, you are a legend. You always rode intelligently and fast.

Imagine being that rider at 2:00!

I knew DJ personally and went to school with him. I was also there at the very moving funeral.

As well as being a top road and track rider, he was also a very good motocross and trials rider.

  • Grandissimo David Jefferies

  • So safe, so fast, so sorely missed....

  • meno male che è senso unico

  • Legend. RIP.

  • wow

  • RIP BIG MAN

  • What a Man absolute top notch R.I,P Dave.

  • R.I.P. David Jefferies.

You were a great biker. <3

  • WOW

  • INSANE! Going around novices at those speeds is pretty risky. Wouldn't mind getting the pants scared off me being passed by the likes of David Jeffries, though.

  • Still top man. Still miss him every TT. Thanks for all the memories.

  • Wow ! I shat myself , and Im only sat in my front room with the laptop on my knee's .

  • i feel like a complete amateur. super smooth and very fast but looked 100% in control fantastic. R I P

  • legend...

  • One of the greatest TT riders ever, definatly the bravest for his style, RIP dave.

  • Well done DJ - think he was the only boy that could compete with Mr Mc Guinness.

Both are legends and so sorry about the accident that deprived us of Jefferies.

    Ta.lee

  • wtf

    5*

  • R.I.P!

  • They're all heroes.

  • RIP big man!!

  • First class high speed riding,

Anyone who can ride that course, that way, is a master.

  • Hi, this looks exactly how it should be done.

Real fast but dead smooth. He has the patience to wait for spaces. Is it suppose to be onew ay on this Mad Sunday?

I was doing this( at about 300 mph slower) the same year that Hailwood came back and at about 3: 50 met a group of 20 German campers/ riders coming the other way. No one had told them " one way" I went through them and somehow missed them all. I shit myself and now would never believe its one way.

I was lucky to come out alive.

  • the guy at 410 is funny - thinks he is fast then DJ shoves it on the inside :-)

  • 4* saw him nw200, rip !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • any idea how quick a standard bike could lap with david on it compared to his race machine?

  • DJ did a lap on a standard production GSXR1000K3 in 18 minutes and 28 seconds in practice the week he died, not sure on his times on a superbike at that time, John mcguinness has done a lap at 17 minutes 22 seconds on a superbike to date, things have moved on in the last 5 years, but not much! fasted lap to date by John mcguinness is 130mph, im sure DJ did a 128mph lap.

  • just imagine being in a car or a bike and david passed you at these speeds!!! fucking 10 out of 10 shame he had to go!

  • What bike was david on

  • ive got an r6 and think i go fast on the track fuck sake ur a mad bas well done big man ur a legend the man who new the track inside out R.I.P BIG MAN ALWAYS REMEMBERED

  • RIP. A proper geezer.

  • I've watched this video at least 20 times and it still amazes me. It's the proximity of the other vehicles that sets it apart from other on-bike TT stuff.

Hard to imagine the skill and the bottle you'd need to ride like that.

  • If I had 6 lives, the 5 spent on the island

  • fantastic guy still makes me smile when i watch this

sadley missed a true leg end

  • the king and would be now but for the oil spill at crosby, god bless

  • ha ha ha! love this! thank you Deejay. May you have your own racetrack in heaven.

  • It's just great to see a legend that had nothing to prove, ride the course as quick as he did, but respect the other riders and even car drivers out there around him, an absolute god.

My only wish is that some of this year's total shitty "I'm going to break the lap record on an open road" riders would take something from this video. But they probably won't watch it anyway as there so wrapped up in their own self-importance!

Where did that "Don't Bin It" sign go from Ramsey!

  • Your prediction was spot on. They didn't take much notice...just kept binning themselves every day, I'm surprised more weren't killed on the Mountain.

  • Well... actualy there was one in either 2006-2007 where a man was killed in one of these races ..

  • Think you've misconstrued what we were talking about. Yes, sadly there was a rider and 2 spectators killed in a racing incident at the 26th milestone on the Mountain section during the last lap of the Senior Race in 2007 , but we were talking about 'members of the public' riding irresponsibly on open roads, and not about riders taking part in the TT Road Races.

  • Oh .... ok .. sorry for that then .. :P

  • What a LEGEND!!! R.I.P :(

  • god speed dj rip

  • you were crazy man!!!!! r.i.p great

  • One of very few people who could use all a gixxer 1000's power across the mountain.

  • Some fecking pilot is right, smooth as you like and damn fast !!

  • ur ar some poilet esp the tt.my hero.R.I.P D Jeff

  • mcgussiness has no bottle i mean the blokes ace and all and i love the TT and i love what he does but DJ was the top bollox he was alsways pushing it and gettin faster and faster but dont forget the TT course has been altered for when jefferies raced like windy corner has changed so i think jefferies would still be dominating today its just a real big shame hes gonna

R.I.P DJ we all love you forever

  • he was fucking quick wasnt he.... whats he riding in this? i cant understand the shape of the bike.

  • A SUZUKI GSXR 1000 K2

  • kandgo you talk more shit than whitewolf60.

DJ would kick your ass On/Off a bike.

So you 2 fuck off and let the rest of us enjoy the video and the awesome talent and down to earth guy that was David Jefferies.

  • DJ what a shame!

Are there any good vids of Macau!

    Possibly more scary than IOM!

    You won't be forgotten!

  • Just as Dave exits the Goose neck he overtakes two bikes a zzr 600 and a zxr 750 i was on the 600 and also had a cam on so we have him passing us on camera. I jumped out of my skin, he was close. Thank fuck i did not cog down and chase him it might have ended up in disaster . A missed talent at the road race circuit's. One day i shall put the footage from video onto the tube its worth a fright has he speeds passed

  • UPLOAD IT! NOOOOOOOW!

  • do us a favor upload please

  • go on mate uplodad it! what were you on the zzr or the zx?

  • there is some fuciking shite being talked on here, white wolf, if your skills are so good what have you won? the tt,wsb,bsb,ama,supersport.. you aint won shit..

kandgo, youd never catch dave jefferies, steve hislop, carl fogarty, joey dunlop, or mike hailwood.. shit, you couldnt catch a cold.....

  • like you'd catch him faggot.

  • Wow,Kandgo you're a hard man! threatening a dead guy!. I doubt that you'd have stomped a hole in D.J's head, even if you had caught him - he was a big lad from Yorkshire and could ride like a man half his size. Anyway,if you'd actually watched the video, the Mountain road he was riding in this video is one-way only on Mad Sunday and I don't see him cutting under anyone, in fact you'd have seen him wait to get past a slower rider ahead of him!

  • Kandgo, congratulations, you are keeping alive the stereotype that Americans are fat, useless and ignorant. I'm sure your countrymen will be proud. As for the rest of the world, do us all a favour: don't ever apply for a passport, you TWAT!

  • THE best road bike footage I've seen on here.

    Ghostrider? No chance.

The 'Stu-pid' rizla gsxr footage? See ya.

DJ shows us all how to ride incredibly fast with near perfect lines, yet never put any other road users in danger.

    Respect to the big man.

Hope they've got smooth tarmac in heaven for you DJ. Rest in peace buddy.

  • This video shows how much an everyday guy D.J was! Wish a few of the 'screw you - i'm comin' through' riders who ride over the Mountain (or anywhere else on the TT course) like the proverbial twats that they are, would watch this - they might learn something, but there again probably not 'cos they're too far buried up their own arses to care.......

  • Whitewolf60 think you talk bollocks :-)

  • pure poetry in motion

  • No need to see his rev counter, it is well into high numbers most of the time, what a star DJ was

  • pdelaressure Standard GSX1000 Not his TAS bike ! .

Think you would all agree The Man was a legend and an Awesome rider.

    RIP Big Man.

  • thanks mate!

  • Whitewolf60 the man was a better rider than YOU could dream of being :-)

  • Whitewolf60 keeps going on about Mf this and MF that, he should note that these are bikes, not Massey Ferguson tractors lol

  • Oops! Sorry! I didn't have my specs on. I thought they were winding mighty high for diesels!

  • lol i saw a diesel rev out to 11000 rpm once, not the nicest thing i will ever remember, cause 3 seconds later i was being hit with pieces of engine

  • you dont ride do you.

    check your mirrors for what?

  • D'oh

  • Absolutely incredible footage!! I wonder how many said to themselves "shit where did he come from". HE WAS THE MAN. Laters DJ

  • To answer a previous question, the revs go up when banked over because the more you lean over, the tyre's radius gets smaller and smaller, hence up go the revs. DJ leant a lot so its quite noticeable!!

  • just what a true hero....a great shame to a man who just loved his sport ...r.i.p.. i.o.m is his grave stone all who ride it respect it ......great rider dj.....

  • Wow. A true TT hero.

    Miss you DJ.

  • D.J was breaking records every year and still would be!. Respect to McGuiness and all the other riders who put their lives on the line

on the mountain circuit, but if D.J was still with us they'd be kissing his tail pipe!

  • Not sure about that!

DJ was great but don't think he could beat McGuinness(my hero!)

    RIP DJ

    Ta

    Lee

  • McGuiness is the current top man and he has my full respect. D.J was top man when he raced on the Island, until he met his untimely end. It was the same with Joey Dunlop. They are ALL road race gods, EVERY rider who takes the challenge of the Mountain Circuit, or any other road circuit for that matter.

  • Yes - agreed!

  • ...unreal! now that guy could ride!!! fast,smooth...very,very talented....anybody any ideas what the bike he's riding in this clip is???

  • gsxr 1000

  • THANKS MATE:0)

  • yup...he was as Suzuki, as Joey Dunlop was Honda

  • the revs are also increasing due 2 the power that u have 2 put down in a corner. drop it down then when u know ur safe u hit the throttle and go, the more power u can put down in a corner the more grip
