  • I find that HIIT (high intensity interval training) on a crosstrainer works best :) I go at effort level 6 and burn over 300cal in 20 min but after the 20min it is very hard to continue as it is very tiring :L

  • Um, no. Only people weighing 500 pounds will burn 500 calories in 9 minutes doing this workout. I'm embellishing, but you get my point. This will not burn many calories at all actually. The best way to burn a lot of calories in a short period of time, is High Intensity Interval Training on a bike. I burn appox. 300 calories in 20 minutes. But it is very difficult and it is difficult to finish the last 5 minutes because your legs burn.

  • Um, no. Best workout is Kettlebell snatches which burn 20.2 per minute. That's more than crosscountry skiing uphill at a fast pace. You're sitting in a chair repeatedly, burning about 5 calories per minute.

  • @applesauceis22 Agreed, I would reccomend complexes or kettlebell workouts for best fat loss, problem with kettlebell workouts are that they put alot of strain on a very specific set of muscles reducing the amount of sets you can do per workout in comparison to complex exercises which can use the majority of your muscle groups effectively.

  • I did the 10 sets of 25 J Squats with 10 second intervals. How much calories is that?

  • @mollygracefentonx Well I don't think doing the exercise is unhealthy, but the way you abused it is...

  • This is called HITT (high intensity internval training). Your using more than one muscle group as you do cardio, and calenstenics to burn twice as much in a short period of time. The exercise may look whimpy, but it is working more muscle groups than and elliptical or just pushing weights., Do it for 2 minutes with mintue rest intervals in for 10-15 minutes, and I GARAUNTEE you will feel not only the burn, but be out breath!
