  • RIP Don Curtis

  • Laney? was that Russ Hicks' wife?

  • The mighty Mr. E. Just too short...but thanks for posting.

  • Was cool to see Joe Wright lurking in the background. But Geez, when Buddie is playing, ixnay on the ingsay lady.

  • I haven't seen Buddy playing "live" in years! Thanks for putting this one up Don.

    Richie Chiasson

    N.H.

  • To me Buddy is still great, after 50 or more years. He's still "the man" in my eyes. Marc Trainor.

  • @marctrainor I agree, Buddy has drawn the benchmark since he first came on the scene and he remains at the top, I dont see how anyone could ever play better and with more taste so in many peoples eyes he will always and forever be the greatest steelguitarist . His contribution to the development of the instrument is also awesome and on that note there is a possibility that he may write a book , Im sure it will be a great humourous and factual read , lets all hope he writes it.

  • I love Emmons but I wish you had posted the whole song. It's my favorite and so is Laney.

  • You Are right ! Buddy Is always wonderful , And Miss Laney Is great and they are both very nice people , Hello from New York , keep it up

  • what song is it?

  • I believe the name of the song is "un-named shuffle" or "no name shuffle". Buddy wrote that tune, never named it and, Laney put some words to it. If you listen to the progression, this is typical Buddy. I'll ask him what the name of it is. Lee

  • Nameless Shuffle is the name of the song

  • Theres noone to touch Buddy Emmons there just isn't. just when you think you have seen some awesome steel player you then see this guy and you realise he is still the greatest ....50years at the top of his game, taseful tasteful tasteful playing. What a fantastic lead in for the vocals he does on this video.

    My favourite too Marcel.

  • All the great players watching Buddy. He's still the King on the steelguitar Don.

Thanks for the video. It's my favorite song.

    Marcel Parijs(steelplayer Holland)
