saginawpaw, I also own LONG ROAD OUT OF EDEN and agree that Felder's sound is definitely missing. Its such a shame that he is no longer in the band. I had a chance to go see him at the Fallsview Casino in Niagara Falls but didn't go and now I regret it. His book HEAVEN AND HELL is a real interesting read. Not too shabby that he wrote the music for their most famous song eh?

I wish you would record a version of the whole song. You've got a real natural talent. Well done. I don't know about you, but I sure miss Don Felder from the Eagles. He should still be in band. What are your thoughts?

@gordlightfootfan I think after he joined the band Felder 's playing became a big part of their overall sound. He was subtle in his choice of what to play, and subtle in how he played it which I think really added to the music. A great example is his playing on the song "I Can't Tell You Why. When I listened to the new album Long Road Our Of Eden, within every song there seemed to be something missing. It then dawned on me that it was the tasteful and graceful playing of Felder.
