@fdoca I think that what concerns the U.S. the most is the risks involved with hightened, widespread nationalistic fervor combined with widespread (at grass roots level) hatred aimed at neighbors such as Japan. There is a possibility of this developing into something big and spilling into the political and military arenas. Also, the concept of China reclaiming Taiwan is a great sticking point.

Chinese Military spend per capita is only 10% of US. So US is more powerful and do not need to worry about it.
