@lantigre And you saying that "Elite athletes and other sportsmen have better ability to heal faster than the average Joe" Just proves you are chatting absolute bullshit lmfao.
Everyone is different andhow fast or well you heal determines on you as a person and what you eat and what suppliments or steroids you take, it has nothing to do with being an elite sportsman or not.... you complete idiot. It is to do with how well you rest, what you eat, and if you take any steroids or supplements
@lantigre You have no fucking idea, ACL surgeries are notoriously bad and hard to come back from.
Even watch Josh Koshchecks latest interview where he is asked about GSP, he says that hopfully he doesnt recover and wont come back (jokingly) and he knows many people that have never recovered from ACL injuries because its such a bad injury to have or try and come back from.
You are a fool with no idea, an ACL injury is one of the worst you can have, more so than breaking a bone or anything else
@docksta I tore my ACL and it took about 2-3 months for the initial recovery, i also started rehab at around a month and a half after surgery. AFter 3 months i was doing full rehab exercises and muscle strengthening for the leg and knee exercises. I was back on track after 7-8 months.. It took longer for me because i also had a meniscus tear which some pieces had to be removed. If GSP only had the ACL Torn, he can recover quite quickly. The meniscus + The ACL is the worst.
Ligaments and nerves take years to heal properly, and just after a major surgery he should not even be fine to walk around without a crouch let alone feeling good.
You can hear by the countless times he has explained it "I feel good and I can train but my graph isnt fuesed properly and not connected just copying what the docter told him to say.
@docksta Really? Pfft since when does it take years to heal from an ACL injury? How many footballers (in whatever code you care to name) have had ACL injuries, and they get back into rehab and physio work a month later?
Elite athletes and other sportsmen have better ability to heal faster than the average Joe. Their body's ability to recuperate and regenerate is better, because the body learns that it has to repair muscle damage week in week out through training.
@docksta ACL Surgery isn't considered major surgery. He got surgery around Dec 12 or 14, If this interview was done at the post date of the video or the day before, yes he could be walking on that knee (a Month and a half of recovery already). I know, i've had that surgery and did all the rehab. But like he says in the interview he has to be careful not to reinjure it. As you said, ligaments take time to heal but with good training,he will be back on track for the next fight no problem.
@thunderballzz Whether you were just kidding around or being serious i don't know, but i hope you realize if GSP was actually on steroids he would be fucking HUGE.
This guy was supposed to have major knee sergery less than a month ago.... Before the sergury he was walking around and training fine, now after the sergury hes waling around so soon and taling crap the docter told him like outside im fine, but inside i9m not fused and not connected together" lol
@docksta Funny, my ACL was torn.. i could walk and train on that leg just fine before the surgery. And a month and a half after the surgery i could walk on my leg as well. (with difficulty because i had a torn meniscus as well but i could walk on it) ACL Surgery is minor surgery, you don't even stay in the hospital more than 2-4 hours depending on wake up time from the anasthesia.
