  • If she loves deaf, she would not insult them with this ......signlady 29, I am profoundly deaf and a native sign user, your statement means you love hearing as well as diab500 not Deaf souls. Onyxempress, you obviously do not understand that 2 to 3 % of deaf are saved and this will scare them away forever. Brush up on deaf culture before you type public comments. This is an insult to deaf. You are must hearing or an audist!!

  • Deaf shell Just so you know I am qualified to make the statements I made. I am certified in ASL and am now learning the exact English version as well. I have friends as well as customers who are deaf and they keep coming back because I treat them with respect and are willing to learn. Having the right attitude will get u far try it some time. As for the signer Keep it up honey u did wonderfully! God Bless.

  • deaf shell Signs differ depending on where that person lives. There is ASL and there is signing in exact english including slang words. Most deaf people will in fact be able to understand her signs even though they are not 100% correct. Most love it that we are even trying to reach out to our deaf brothers and sisters and are willing to learn. There are a few like you who will tear down every little mistake made. Just know you do not discourage people like her or me. Hands of Praise Texas.

  • You did very good. Good Job!

  • wowow.. this is nice.that job good. I am happy to you.. jesus love you.. Love..

  • How can you say "beautifully done?" This is not ASL, this is a student who has no deaf interaction. Please dont give false hope or praise. Praise her for learning, and encourage her to advance her skills, but please dont lie and say its Beautifully Done when its not. Or dont give feedback when your not qualified to give it.

  • @deafshell To say "beautifully done" would be a matter of opinion.. Not one person needs to be "qualified" to state their opinions.

  • @deafshell I think it depends on what she is trying to accomplish. When a person interprets a song, they are trying to move their hands beautifully and be accurate. If she is not accurate, that does not mean she is not doing her job beautifully. Not to insult her but it is the same as a child that gives you a picture they have drawn, it looks nothing like you but it is still beautifull...I hope that makes sense.

  • Beautifully done!
