They mean specifically the cup is on a tour of Los Angeles. Technically it "is" still the Rapids cup, but in a more literal sence the cup is "in" Los Angeles, galaxy fans simply hope to keep it here.
@ArthurAllblack It's techinically the property of the Rapids, that's what i'm talking about. If people talk about "it's staying here" they normally won the previous year. That's the way i've heard it anyways.
