i started listening to the beatles when i was about 4(13 now) when i 'stole' my dads portable tape player. it doesnt work anymore but i still have it. why? because the stuff i heard on it changed my life. since then, ive become known as the 'beatlefreak' around my entire school but idc. i got to see paul a few months ago at piedmont park in atlanta!! my birthday and christmas for the next few years... :P it was totally worth it though!!!

If McCartney was shot dead in 1980 and Lennon lived on then McCartney would be the legend and Lennon not. People always take more notice of dead peoples work than alive people, sad but true, McCartney had more hit songs than Lennon in the Beatles era.
McCartney's "Nice Guy Oh Gosh" attitude just seems to me to be disingenuous. The promotion of Wings, which consists of terrible music and horrible songs is an attempt to rewrite history. McCartney will never escape the shadow of Lennon, and revisionism is his only option in an attempt to elevate himself as more than a sidekick to Lennon. It is contrived and a bit seedy, but so is McCartney.
You don't have very much to say, do you? Not musically, not lyrically, and not during interview. Why do you need to keep making these appalling albums? If you cared about the world as much as you say you'd reduce your colossal carbon footprint by 1) not producing the waste and packaging and emmissions which go hand in hand with making CDs; 2) not bringing new babies into the world with money-grabbing monoped ex-prostitutes; and 3) not breathing.

McCartney's new album is tops, a cross between the Sergeant Pepper's album and the Abbey Road album. I've been listening to The Beatles and Wings for 30 years so I know what I'm talking about.

It think Paul always valued John as a write and friend, but then John resented his Beatle image and wanted to be seen as this rebel/political image so he disassociated himself with Paul because Paul was Mr. Goody happy song guy at that time. Thats what I decifer from what I have read about the two of them.

McCartney's "Nice Guy Oh Gosh" attitude just seems to me to be disingenuous. The promotion of Wings, which consists of terrible music and horrible songs is an attempt to rewrite history. McCartney will never escape the shadow of Lennon, and revisionism is his only option in an attempt to elevate himself as more than a sidekick to Lennon. It is contrived and a bit seedy, but so is McCartney.

The song Nod Your Head in his latest album is great, its got a bit of Helter Skelter, Live And Let Die and I'm The Walrus. McCartney's new album is tops, a cross between the Sergeant Pepper's album and the Abbey Road album. I've been listening to The Beatles and Wings for 30 years so I know what I'm talking about.
