Greenwald touched on a very important point. Hamas is no more a terrorist organization than is the Israeli government, or for that matter the US or Russian or Chinese or any government that has intentionally killed civilians. As I pointed out, Israel continues to create and expand settlements. The only place Israel is not expanding in, is Gaza, which they tried to give away to Egypt, and Egypt didn't want a useless desert filled with refugees.
My solution is for Israel to take over the West Bank and Gaza, and grant all the Palestinians Israeli citizenship, reversing UN Resolution 181. The other solution is implementing 194.
But Israel won't.

For what it's worth, I'd just like to point out that there were 380 Turks on the ship, among many other Arab passengers, AND it was operated by the IHH, a Turkish NGO that does have some ties to terrorist groups. That is well-established. Were pro-terrorist members or elements of the IHH aboard? I dunno. Some certainly claim it. How do we know IHH members who LED the ship didn't have ulterior motives? We can't say for sure until all that info comes out in an investigation.

The Israelis cry self-defence, complaining about the fact that the activists on the boat were armed and intent on violence. Unless I have misunderstood, it was Israeli commandos who dropped onto the ships, in full combat gear, fully armed. The assault also took place in international waters. The aggression came unequivocally from the Israelis (no surprise there.) Their defence of their actions would be laughable if it wasn't disgusting given the events which have unfolded.

Hamas is no more a terrorist organization than is the Israeli government, or for that matter the US or Russian or Chinese or any government that has intentionally killed civilians.
