Furthermore mosts tests were only kiloton range, and the debris kicked up by them into the atmosphere would have created a cooling effect by reflecting more sunlight than absorbing it (the term nuclear-winter is for this reason, combined with the smoke clouds from burning cities in a conflict). Nuclear tests have absolutely nothing to do with global warming.

The title of this vid is misleading, to say the least! It begins with the 1950s "Atomic Cannon" which fired an 11" diameter, 15 kiloton yield round, then it progresses to multiple < 50 KT yield shots at Yucca Flats, NV, several repeats of the 20 KT "Baker" shot, and several other Pacific shots, only ONE of which appears to be an H-bomb, & I am NOT even sure of that. The rest were relatively low yield A-bombs: < 50 KT. H-bombs are usually 500 KT+...

The title of this vid is misleading, to say the least! It begins with the 1950s "Atomic Cannon" which fired an 11" diameter, 15 kiloton yield round, then it progresses to multiple < 50 KT yield shots at Yucca Flats, NV, several repeats of the 20 KT "Baker" shot, and several other Pacific shots, only ONE of which appears to be an H-bomb, & I am NOT even sure of that. The rest were relatively low yield A-bombs: < 50 KT. H-bombs are usually 500 KT+...

I hope that none of you would have to live in the kind of fear me and my family had to undergo many, many years ago when there was a world at war and when there were above-ground nuclear tests with the ever present danger of fallout being intermingled with the rain clouds, or drills being staged by the Civil Defense.
