  • excellent,a visiting train from across the pond :-),

good luck,i don`t know much about US trains, but i love the Pere Marquette 1225 (used in the Polar express film),i bought a G scale model from Lionel awhile back, it was such a heavy large model,

  • I'm glad you like my entry as well!;)

Ever since the Polar Express movie came out 5 years ago, the Pere Marquette #1225 is being unofficially called the "Christmas Engine."

  • tom

this is garrett just a few things A. u sound like ale pachino as the godfather the accent dosnt suit the loco and secondly pennsy rules lol and last bunt not least next time set the scene when u begine as well as tell the audeunce what the storys about as well as the railroad in question i know i took drama for two years

  • The New York accent suits Henry well. He's a NEW YORK Central steam locomotive.

  • you've got a point

  • Who? Me? Or Garrett?

  • you

  • awesome i liv in schenectady and i hve seen the old alco plant it istill standing but now its a steel factory but cool video

  • Thank you. It's ashame that the New York Central didn't even save ONE Hudson for preservation.

  • Did you see my video entry?

  • What kind of Hudson is Henry a J1E?

  • Good question. I left that out because if he were to become a character modelled into the series, the BR Series crew would have to find and HO or OO model of a New York Central Hudson. And I don't want to create a lot of restrictions.

    He would probably be a non-streamlined J1E or J3A.

  • I don't think the J1Es were ever streamlined.

  • #5344 was streamlined to be Commadore Vanderbilt from 1934-1945. It was the first streamlined American steam locomotive, possibly the first streamlined steam locomotive in the entire world.

  • Oh the Vanderbilt Hudsons.

  • I like the accent you gave to him mate. Very very good and it would be nice to see an american engine in the BRWS. Good luck mate

  • Thank you! And good luck to you too! I love your idea of a "Composite" locomotive.

  • I'm also i the contest, and i have to say that this is one awesomely epic entry. Good Luck laddy! (just wanted to say laddy because I like speaking irish sometimes)

  • And your Irish character is a very original idea!;)

  • thanks :)

  • Oooh, I do like this! A "baltic" I believe. Good luck with your entry!

  • Thank You! The New York Central called them "Hudsons" (which became the basic name for the 4-6-4 wheel arrangement) because one area they ran in was the Hudson Valley of New York.

I gave him the name "Henry" because of Henry Hudson, the Englishman who founded the present-day state of New York.

  • Al of the NYC Hudsons were scrapped in 1957 and the British Railway series has already reached 1959.

  • that's not the point!
