People no longer focus on business needs but on latest technology. Managers sell technology more than business logic and companies are happy getting new technology, whether applied properly or not.
Really helpful video. I am just learning TDD on my own. While I understand the initial price to pay is steep for developers new to TDD, I think there are some really good points about running tests quickly and often, and also make sure that everything is tested every time. This is near to impossible in practice using code review or continous user testing because a person is less prone to try and test something he thinks works. I think that initial cost is high but beneficial in the long run.

In a year a new Technology would be developed.
Waterfall .. TDD .. BDD ... then something else.
In Java a new baby is born every 9 months :)
