When looking at the 2005 YU55 orbit, I see that the last time it got that close to us was last year (April 20,2010) at 0.0145 AU from Earth. Before that was (Nov. 12, 2000) at 0.039. I thought it was interesting that April 20th last year is the DEEPWATER HORIZON explosion. I have no idea what that has to do with space but.....who knows.

I'm no astronomer, but I have a real quick question for those of you "in the know". What effect has it had on the other orbits of planets on the inner planets? Anything noticeable at all on Mars or Venus? Is there a chance the moon will be pulled away from the earth by the massive gravitational pull of Elenin? I've been "carrying on" quite a good deal about this lately: All space spheres are hollow or pulled into a hollow shape by the non polar field of gravity that eminates as a pulling force from all mass. There are examples of hollow sphere in nature. Anyway.. You probably need an expert to tell you it's solid, but only needs a measurement to tell you it's hollow. Somehow we are led away from the hollow planet concept when it seems like the only thing that could occur.

Elenin is no Brown dwarf. The Destroyer is now just enterring Virgo (in front of Virgo) [Dec -5:42:24]. Elenin is an objet that was orbiting the Destroyer but it was taken by our Sun's gravitational pull. This is why Elenin doesn't have a stable orbit (hyperbolic orbit). Just a hint about this "things"....have you noticed that it comes from BELOW the ecliptic and then go over it? But guess what??? it comes back BELOW the ecliptic AGAIN! Also, there is no alignment on March 11, 2011. Disregarding the fact that the comet was on a different plane than the Earth and Sun you can see that the 3 don't even line up from a pure overhead 2D view until between the 14th and 15th. It doesn't help all these theories either that the comet is about 1/40 the size of Hale-Bopp. Or that Leonard Elenin says that if it was a dwarf Saturn's orbit would have changed years ago. Heck, it may not even survivie perihelion.

Some people need to look more into what a brown dwarf is the mass of it by now would of had effects on other planets which we would be able to see its not like something that big passes through and has no effect on other planets in our system also i dont get this whole " its not visible cuz its a failed sun" its not a black hole it would reflect light and something that is supposed to be bigger than our biggest planets would show up in the sky by now as its near Mars

@jakemarin7 - It may very well indeed be a comet, but now I'm getting reports that there are two large objects following very closely behind it. This would fit into the Hopi Indian Blue and Red Kachina prophecy perfectly then. I guess we'll just have to wait and see and hope for the best. Trust me when I say I would rather eat crow then to be right on this. But, there are many amatuer astronomers that are deeply convinced some big will occur on Sept 26 and posssibly on July 7.

OK, I'm onboard with the math and the diagrams and such of just how close this thing will come, @ 100x the mass of the earth and the astroid following close behind. So, what would say is the result of the astroid coming in contact with our moon? End of Civilization as we know it! When looking at the 2005 YU55 orbit, I see that the last time it got that close to us was last year (April 20,2010) at 0.0145 AU from Earth. Before that was (Nov. 12, 2000) at 0.039. I thought it was interesting that April 20th last year is the DEEPWATER HORIZON explosion. I have no idea what that has to do with space but.....who knows.

Very nice presentation! I started using stellarium only a couple months ago, its awesome isn't it? If you have not done so already you may like to visit home.hiwaay.net/~jalison/index.html An abundance of evidence for an "old equator" and thus a pole shift occurring whilst the planet was populated by the ancients.
Another worthwhile thing to see if you have not already is thunderbolts of the gods or anything by David Talbott or Wallace Thornhill. I bet you are already aware of their website.

But you cannot draw any conclusions based on one pretty recent paper, more research needs to be completed on this matter before I'll put credence into it. Either way, how do you go from the increase in the magnitudes of earthquakes based on this comet to a complete polar shift?

@metsfanal Where is your proof of this? There has been many studies conducted that prove that alignments are of great significance. In my 38 yrs of life I have learned a few things and one of them is that there is no such thing as coincidence. Is it a coincidence that the great pyramids of Giza are aligned with certain stars/planets?
As far as being worried goes, I am not worried, I am thankful that this planet will be recycled once again. We have turned our Eden into a wasteland.

these objects travel very fast.. I just do not think we could intercept one with a conventional nuclear weapon, the math involved in hitting an object moving that fast with a missle moving much slower is painful to comprehend. The threat of annihilation is dire and something that cannot be ignored we need a super massive ground based laser capable of whittling down a comet or meteor months or years before it can hit us. Technology is great, but one day technology will fail us all....
