The actual marketing of such movies would be affected by having it wholly inhabited by actors whom the British and American audience do not know. I think this idea is related to there being Germans as the central characters. If all the Germans in the film had perfect accents it would end up being a German film. This is an oxymoron.

Whoever posted this series, no matter what he says to hide his true identities, is a racist promoting hate. Unless this is your first time watching this movie, you can tell a lot of parts that show Hitler's negative side/history (such as weakness or him forcing himself onto his niece etc.) have been edited out in order to glorify him as much as possible. By the way, the real title of this movie is "Hitler: the Rise of Evil." There is no crap like "...or Greatness?" in the title.

The problem is that the film is made for a dumbed down audience and rehashes the same old characatures, stereotypes, and dramatic tropes of the decent to facism storyline. Example: Hitler was not such an outwardly evil, vindictive, or cruel man as portrayed in the film. In fact all our witness accounts, all of our historical records, tell us the opposite.

@gracer99 i actually don't disagree....but i don't really see revisionism in this series. it IS cinema but i think it would be next to impossible to make a series about Hilter that's 100% accurate. i think this series paints Hitler as a fairly complex person, certainly very smart and cunning, but also vain, arrogant, short tempered and occasionally very kind and almost tender hearted. that seems to me a pretty accurate portrait. to me it DOES show that evil can come from unsuspecting places.

Hitler in reality was a very animal loving, kind man who only wanted the best for Germany, which at the time was at a crisis of economic and military standards. He only did what he thought was right for his people, which was balance their economy due to the Jews. But, that doesn't mean you can't appreciate entertainment :)
