I have a question. If i got a G4 could i get a 11.2 Lipo or a 7.2 Lipo and put that in the gun right out of the box without any upgrades at all. So just a new gun and a lipo. Would it be fine to use.?

@kidking559 high capacity magazines have a wheel on the bottom. This is used to (i think, no 100% sure, amma mid cap man) compress a spring that feeds the BBs, which are loose in the mag, into the gun. Most guns are supplied with a high cap. magazine, though very few AEGs have proprietary magazines, so you can get mid, low and real capacity magazines that fit. This kind do not require winding, but have far reduced capacity.

@shoblob LiPo batteries aren't crazy, that's just what the airsoft companies want you to believe.

They're very safe batteries, just don't get them from airsoft stores. Airsoft stores overcharge you for them and don't give you enough information. You can get a 25C ~2000MaH 7.4 or 11.1v battery from a hobby site for about $13.

Is this video not BS? I don't know, but so far the reasons given supporting that it is are overruled:

1. It's time-lapsed

2. For that part where Tim is sitting, doing nothing, he is likely using "Mr Roll Up" which he mentioned at the start of the video. As in using a machine to wind the mag.

It seems like that SOMEWHAT over rules those reasons, although I can't guarantee any of them.

I have the Daniel Defense g-4 -- it is fantastic. Took a spill on the first day out and landed rifle-first on a rock, and the thing still fires like new. It's a beast on the field -- but I haven't run a LiPo in her yet.

You would be correct in that Tim doesn't actually fire all the BBs.

However, you would be wrong in that this doesn't test the G4's internals. Dry firing an airsoft gun can damage it, so Tim not shooting the BBs are actually a better durability test for the G4's internals. Also, this a blowback model, which is also tested due to the amount of time Tim holds down the trigger. (Continued.)

Just a little comment about this gun and Airsoft GI. I have the Danial Defense version of this gun and it truly kicks ass. G&G makes a great gearbox and I use a 11.1v 2200MaH (25C) Li-Po consistently without any issues.

As far as ASGI goes,.. I have bought about 10 different things from them and tried to write reviews but they never post on their website. Come to find out they sift through them and only post the ones they like. Thats Sketch of you as me.

@CybeRogue23 It depends on the C rate of the LiPo and the Capacity. A Normal MiMh can do about 9-12C and LiPos range from 10-40C. A 7,2V NiMh with 1600mAh Capacity will be faster or at least the same ROF as a 7,4V LiPo with 1000-1600mAh and about 10-15C. Thats the point why most LiPos are so damn fast. Becasue they acutally give the Motor enough Juice to run it at its desired Speed on the given VOltage, which NiMhs often cant.
