idk if anyone saw but on nfl network and on espn they compared Elways first 8 games to Tebows and Elways numbers were actually just as bad and (worse in some areas such as TD's to interceptions) to Tebows. Elway became better as time went on, so will Tebow

Im a Tebow supporter and even ill say it he will probably never have a good completion ratio and may never become very accurate but unlike orton he doesnt toss up interceptions on a daily basis and he can put up points by rushing and passing and the team overall is playing better with him as the starter. @btodd262 Some of the sacks were tebows fault. On the fumble return by cliff avril most qbs would have gotten it off in time but his windup to throw is so long it gave avril time to knock the ball out of his hand. Also tebow has a bad habit of stepping back out of the pocket instead of into it. This makes it nearly impossible or the tackles to block outside rushers especially against a defense that runs a wide 9 like detroit does.

Orton is done in Denver, but that doesn't mean there wasn't a double standard. When Tebow stinks, everyone blames the coaching, the O-line, the wide receivers. When Orton stinks everyone says it's ALL Orton's fault. Broncos fans say Orton is a sitting duck when the pressure is on (and he often is) but Tebow gets sacked 7 times vs. Detroit?

@Bullsfan2008DR Those sacks that Tebow susutained were partially his fault as well. He held onto the ball too long and unlike the NCAA, he doesnt have that luxury anymore. Tebows decision making was suspect for years and the more games he plays, the more weaknesses will be exposed. Tebow is not an NFL QB. If he still wants to stay in teh league he should change his position to TE.

@ProZack91488 Denver's defense struggled due in part they suffered injuries. A lot of the reasons why Denver is even 7-1 is mainly because of the defense. Had Orton still started the games there wouldnt have to be any comeback in several of the games. Not to mention the schedule has favored them in that they faced teams who were on a downward trend or faced teams with anemic offense. If you think it's all Tebow you're sadly mistaken.

@stumperization if Tebow doesn't show up to play, I will certainly blame it on the defense. I think Fox and the couching staff need to find out who Tebow is and design plays for him that he can excel and ultimately win games with. If he can't do that, I know that Quinn and Orton are both starters on any other team and will be ready to go. McDaniels was terrible, but the Broncos have 2 solid QBs and 1 QB who supposidly has "it", but needs to get better at reads and blitz's and accuracy.

He does have some guys to throw to but with no protection you can't make plays. I feel that Orton and Quinn are getting shit on and should go to a team that can give them respect. If you put Aaron Rodgers in the Denver QB slot, I guarantee you he would look horrible. A QB is only as good as his protection. Tebow is not the answer.
