Actually Exen88, that is the proper way to pour a beer. It's a U.S. thing to try and run the beer gently down the side of a tilted glass. A properly poured beer into the middle of the glass releases some of the carbon (leading to a frothy head) and allows more of the hops flavor to be tasted. I love that you add "idiot" to your post.
