Back in 83 the governing bodies didn't have a clue, they thought we were all skins with tattoos .It reached it's peak in 85 ..Now they have the upper hand but football now has lost it's edge that it had in the 80's...Most of us have grown up and have families and moved away from it but we'll never forget those days when it was played by real men and watched by real men.
@Gaffer96 dont kno where you was mate 83 was the height of it fila bj segio tacchini lois cords farrah trousers, 85 was a different period of thje casual scene by then but im a few years older then you
@MrLeebo123 I was too young in 83 mate...i started in 84 .I had my Lois flares and leather Jersey in 85 but had my tachinni tracksuit and lyle and scott polo neck in 84 with my Ivan Lendl trainers....Happy days pal and in all seriousness if we hadn't come along fashion in the UK would have been gash..we took it out the new romantic crap and put some style in.
@Gaffer96 SCOUSERS TRY TO SAY THEY STARTED THE FASHION,BUT TO BE HONEST IT WAS DEVISED FROM SOUL BOY FASHION ,STIX MAN FASHION, LIKE MOST YOUTH CULTURE FASHION IN THIS COUNTRY CAME FROM JAMACIAN FASHION FASHION AND MUSIC RUDEBOY CULTURE IN THE LATE 60S EARLY 70S, AND IM WHITE SO IM NOT SAYIN THIS FROM A BIASED POIN TOF VIEW, THE SPLIT IN THE JEANS IS A PRIME EXAMPLE
@MrLeebo123 Well i was into Rudeboy and Mod in the early 80's so was a natural progression to get into casual i thought..being well dressed was always first and foremost in my mind and having a good ruck at the football was a laugh to...I've heard these stories about Scouse gangs heading to London to steal imported tennis gear in the early 80's cos Liverpool didn't sell it..Aberdeen were dressing in Casual gear in 79/80 ...
all the top firms came too shrewsbury back in the early 80s celsea were not even in the top 5 at 5 was middlesbough 4 was darby 3 man city 2 birmingham but 1 was cardiff they were fuckin off the rails they were the day and night was a blur of total violance witch was never seen before or since.Let me just sat i sin many offs over the years but they were mental. no firm could off got near them that day and thats from a leeds fan............
what a good idea....stop the fans watching their team?...that the way to keep your club afloat ..NOT...was he really in business......how did he think he was going to survive financially without the away fans...nobber.
Chelseas support has always been good. We have the record attendance in football league history.....But the dumb fucks who say "where were you when you were shit" are just thick cunts.
I admit the crowds at the bridge went down in the 80's because of the headhunters who were(and still are) the most ruthless and dangerous hooligan firm in the country. So away fans didnt travel, and your average fan didnt come either.
derby had a nice firm in the 80s good dressers and a multi racial firm at the baseball grnd
