My terrible friend's version is definitely worse than this one. It is...too sterile. Yeah, they sing good, but they dont mean it, come on, read to the lyrics, this is a song about someone seducing a girl for the first time, (and there are debates if that guy is a preacher or whatever). So, I think this kind of vocals suits this song better. Plus the whole buildup and the music part is better here you have the anticipation, while in my terrible friend the dynamics is almost like a straight line.
