@TheBlueUmbreon Yeah, i used APTBackup from cydia and updated, redownloaded apt backup and clicking restore in the app. Preary easy, i didnt lost my installous apps too!

Hey thanks man...

I went from Iphone 3G Firmware 2.2 to 2.2.1 (only because of the games requiring 2.2.1).

Followed every step u said (except the txt backup) and everything worked without a hitch.

Unfortunatly the "aptbackup" didnt work so well, it didnt add everything and it stopped Cydia from working.

For those of you who have this problem, re-jailbreak and then download winterboard and all should be back to normal. Mine was except for a few Cydia apps :)

According to my phone and also in iTunes, I am running SW version 2.2 When I try to upgrade the SW in iTunes, it says that 2.2 is the current version for my phone. How can I get 2.2.1 ?? Hey, What Keyboard theme, and soundset are you using?

It looks and sounds like the blackberry storm, and I like it =)

The clicking sound is the "Blackberry Storm Click" found in Cydia and the Keyboard theme is called" Neo Keys Dark". My theme for springboard is Wood Shelves along with the Smoog theme icons and Smoog 5 icon dock. Hope this helps :)

i tried to do the steps that you have done and i backed it up then after i did that you said to go do the upgrade on tunes... then jus install quickpwn when i went to install quckpwn it just stayed at the loading bar forever and would not go no where.... i tryed it mulitple time and now cannot get the cydia app back on my phone at all what can i do?

Make sure u do the process in quickpwn where you hold down the power and home button. That hangs it up sometimes. Other than that it should work. Did you try that?

i just tried this with my mac. i did app backup, installed 2.2.1 through itunes, then i made sure that i had the latest quickpwn from the website, then i jailbroke it and the half eaten pineapple comes up but cydia isnt installed on my app pages when its done.
