It's not illogical at all. A news corporation censoring a candidate is not anything like the people protesting against it. Fox News is free to do what they want but when they wade into a campaign, that's a public affair and censorship is not allowed. By law all sides are supposed to be presented. The feedback for a product that you don't like is to not buy it. Irrespective of liberal or conservative, it's important for an adveriser to understand the effect that their sponsorship of a particular new program will have on their connection to their customer. If the sponsorship in the form of advertising ALIENATES their customer, than that would be money WASTED. They deserve to get feedback, even if FOX NEWS would prefer that they don't. Feeling lied to by FOX NEWS doesn't engender trust.
I use to watch primarily Fox news. I no longer watch it at all. I'm not sure if they changed or I am wising up. I understand that all of them are poor excuses for journalism or reporting, but Fox is unbelievable at times. I think I lost all respect when their best(orielly) censored a friend of mine. The only reason was because he speaks nothing but the truth, and Bill wasn't having any of that. The truth can not be tolerated and that is why Ron Paul went the way of the do-do. How sad is that?

I have taken your advice and will call the numbers you wrote on your paper as well as I will watch for others on FOX. I will be informing them I support FOX NEWS and am not participating in a boycott. It works both ways. I am also going to inform each of the advertisers that the boycott is by RON PAUL NUT CASES, so that ought to ease their minds.

Most people who want FOX have to pay for it via cable subscription fees. Most of the interesting and incendiary stuff is online, anyway. Perhaps canceling the FOX subscription would make them think about their political bias; the only problem is that it tends to be bundled with useful stuff, but advertisers require audiences.
Don't play their game! The BEST way to support Ron Paul, is a TOTAL boycott on mainstream media until he wins. A fox boycott isn't enough. There isn't one mainstream media source that we can turn to. We rule on the web, so make them fight on our turf. Besides, you aren't going to miss much anyways. Get your news and media from google and youtube only!
Agreed but we still need to make phone calls. If we can beat FOX NEWS, the other networks will take notice. I have experience with this in Boston. We beat the big local branch of a national rock station and the others saw and added more local programming which is exactly what we were fighting for. Turning off the tv is one thing but if 4 million a night are still watching, nothing changes. Have 25 people call the biggest corps to have them drop FOX NEWS will work and hurt them!

I'd rather watch Fox than the others, yet I don't get offended if somebody criticizes their programming. I'm not invested. People that are invested yet never receive a dime from FOX News? I think that's funny. Obama? Didn't vote for him. Think he's the worst and most liberal President since George W. The feedback for a product that you don't like is to not buy it. Irrespective of liberal or conservative, it's important for an adveriser to understand the effect that their sponsorship of a particular new program will have on their connection to their customer. If the sponsorship in the form of advertising ALIENATES their customer, than that would be money WASTED. They deserve to get feedback, even if FOX NEWS would prefer that they don't. Feeling lied to by FOX NEWS doesn't engender trust.

I use to watch primarily Fox news. I no longer watch it at all. I'm not sure if they changed or I am wising up. I understand that all of them are poor excuses for journalism or reporting, but Fox is unbelievable at times. I think I lost all respect when their best(orielly) censored a friend of mine. The only reason was because he speaks nothing but the truth, and Bill wasn't having any of that. The truth can not be tolerated and that is why Ron Paul went the way of the do-do. How sad is that?

I have taken your advice and will call the numbers you wrote on your paper as well as I will watch for others on FOX. I will be informing them I support FOX NEWS and am not participating in a boycott. It works both ways. I am also going to inform each of the advertisers that the boycott is by RON PAUL NUT CASES, so that ought to ease their minds.

don't forget to call your cable,satellite etc co & ask then to take fox off their channel line up. They probably won't but it'll make an impression. Leave no stone unturned people, if they want to fight dirty, let them, we'll fight it right, 24/7/365, and in HUGE numbers, like Gandhi, who broke the back of the English stranglehold on India via passive resistance, boycott, and numbers. Access to the internet is already restricted in many countries. Turkey, Iran, the great firewall of China, and soon the Australian internet censoring regime, which may require an opt-out (still under discussion, the technology has been in place for years as an opt-IN measure for parents).

Do people watch FOX for anything but entertainment value? I live in Australia and don't have cable, but Murdoch still controls about half of the media in this country. He imposed the same political ideology on his US networks, FOX being his mouthpiece.
I could boycott the FOX advertisers mentioned, but to avoid all Murdoch influence would be impossible. EVERY advertising company in Australia is associated with Rupert Murdoch and, therefore, FOX.

Our other major media magnate, the Packer empire, is attacking drugs as well - since the death of his father, Kerry, James Packer has been using Scientology front-groups in his programs without disclosure; this makes them look legitimate, and public schools are inviting them in.
Murdoch is no longer the greater of two evils, which is rather chilling...

Boycotts work, I know it is hard. But the main focus is to make phone calls to the sponsors to get some of them to cancel their ads with FOX NEWS. That will have the biggest impact! Thanks for comment from Australia!

Most people who want FOX have to pay for it via cable subscription fees. Most of the interesting and incendiary stuff is online, anyway. Perhaps canceling the FOX subscription would make them think about their political bias; the only problem is that it tends to be bundled with useful stuff, but advertisers require audiences.

Don't play their game! The BEST way to support Ron Paul, is a TOTAL boycott on mainstream media until he wins. A fox boycott isn't enough. There isn't one mainstream media source that we can turn to. We rule on the web, so make them fight on our turf. Besides, you aren't going to miss much anyways. Get your news and media from google and youtube only!

Agreed but we still need to make phone calls. If we can beat FOX NEWS, the other networks will take notice. I have experience with this in Boston. We beat the big local branch of a national rock station and the others saw and added more local programming which is exactly what we were fighting for. Turning off the tv is one thing but if 4 million a night are still watching, nothing changes. Have 25 people call the biggest corps to have them drop FOX NEWS will work and hurt them!
