  • i agree with kevin that was horrible to watch i wouldve killed to have those computer titans AS PARTNERS !!!

  • THESE GUYS ARE GENIUS

  • starts at 1:47

  • The problem with his idea is it already exists for free in hundreds of schools around the country. I went to a highschool where one third of the school was part of a study guide and note sharing co -op.

  • wanna be mark zuckerbergs lol!

  • I think that they neglected to address a major issue within this business plan; The course content is not consistent across every class and school. Different instructors, textbooks and sub-topics can and will create an issue. In the school of business I am attending, I spoke with students who were taking the same course as I, but with a different instructor and discovered that they had different textbooks and course content focuses.

  • And Kevin looks like and is the biggest douche

  • I feel like I learn business from this show

  • everytime I watch Shark tank...I feel like ''yo, let's start a business man''

  • Comment removed

  • only a loser would walk in with a real potential product and ask someone for monetary help with a business venture. part of the fun and challenge is figuring it all out and getting there on your own. makes you an all around business person and keeps your brain working.

  • Kevin is the only reason I watch this, He has the best money quotes ever.

  • People are NUTS not to go into business with Kevin O'Leary simply because they don't like the way he makes money - If you think of him as ruthless.. I would feel incredibly secure having such a ruthless partner working with me like Kevin.

  • Again unless there's professors writing the notes you can't trust them. because even being a day off on a important date in history will get you an F. college isn't like grade school people....!

  • @METALMAN4Wii Uh, are you even old enough to be in College? Because that's not true. At all.

And you're implying that professors are the only people in the world who can look up a date? K.

  • @NOHHissue Oh yeah people online don't lie the world is filled with marshmallows and puppy dog tail and your calling me immature ? oh and if someone can't take notes they shouldn't be in College Period....!

  • @METALMAN4Wii You think you'll get an F if you get a date wrong. You're an idiot. Thanks.

  • $90k = 25% in 2009

    25% = 925k in 2011

    You go girl!

  • i dont know why buy im glad they chose her

  • Interesting one...

  • yes notehall got bought for 3.7M ...

  • For how

    Much?

  • well looks like they made good deal cuz Notehall was bought out by Chegg

  • These guys are idiots,

  • @MOSUKRA98 Do your research before you call someone an idiot, especially young men who started their own unique business. These guys are millionaires now. Idiots? No, nice try though.

  • And they just got bought by Chegg today. barbara cashed out. Congrats!

  • indeed made a mistake.

  • @airbender1969 They're millionaires now. Mistake? Um, no.

  • "you made a huge mistake...." damn straight kevin o'leary is a beast with buisness

  • This show is so awesome I love the intense business talk when one of the entrepreneurs has a good idea

  • I do not like Kevin O'tool. He is a bad man.

  • Leave it to students at one of the biggest party schools in the nation to come up with a way to do less work.

  • Funny how the 2 richest guys on the show are canadian

  • @kaa10

kevin o leary has 300 dollars, robert has "only" about 150 million. Harrington and Daymond, I don't know, but they shure are very rich. only barbarra has less than 100 mill, I think she's 66 mill...

  • @kaa10 cuz they got 'lax weed laws.

  • best ep.

  • what is the difference between owning 10% percent of a company or 10% royalty

  • @cheesynounou

with owning 10%, you still gotta pay 10% of all investments, you still gotta work for the company.

with a 10% royalty you just sell the company 100%, and in return get 10% of the montly/annually proffits. With royalty's you just sit in your couch and collect the money.

  • They made the right decision by going with Barbara

  • @zark78 please explain why, i dont think she has the branding, promoting or internet savvy experience.

  • Are they successful now?

  • we have textbooks for that.

  • 1500 users is nothing...

  • huuuuuuge mistaake!

    fucking bozzo businessmen!

  • Kevin O leary is like Gordon Gekko lol

  • Barbara gets them all it seems.

  • Thumbs UP if you typed in notehall.com

  • Why would you take the dike over the two smarter looking guys.

  • I would have gone with Kevin and Robert. Experience > Ability to buy back anyday.

  • shark tank's cool, but i think dragon's den is better imo.

  • @Neodark10 agreed, but the black guy in shark tank is badass.

  • barbra is so freaking hottt

  • Im pretty sure every university in the world has students who have made sites like this. No money, fail idea,

  • Bank of bozo barbra. Owned.

  • harrington needs to get booted off the show. he is invisible and the only memorable deal ive seen from him so far is one where he got hustled like a bitch.

  • good decision!

  • Great idea but the business depends on the participation from its members. I used ratemyteacher and it didn't work out for me. For that reason, I'm out.

  • i had the same fucking idea three years ago

  • @bullbunnies FlashNotes has a similar setup and it seems to be a significant competitor. I'm interested in seeing where this idea goes.

  • Do the students have to pay taxes on the income they earn when they sell off these notes?

  • See this is what happens when u can't get along, Kevin and Robert had the biggest advantage ever in the deal and they still let it slip away cuz they pretty much just demonstrated that they make bad partners. Not saying the guys made the right decision, but this is a huge example of how self presentation/being a likable person can give you a really big advantage.

  • there missing parts on this movie

  • Wow! These guys let the big one get away.

Kevin and Robert (Who are also Canadian Dragons in the Canadian version of Dragon's Den) bring HUGE experience and connections (Through O'Leary Exchange and The Herjavec group; their respective companies)to the table

They're going to regret this deal one day

  • LMFAO

    whats with the beginning ?

    0_o

  • I like Barbara and Robert the best. Barbara is hot for an older woman too. I like aggressive women.

  • yes its legal, but like B said.........."UNTIL YOU GET CAUGHT" you don't think universities that are worth beans will not check this site? All of my major essays are electronically turned in and bots scan them for verbiage and wording and god knows what else. I would be out. Great idea but wont work in the long run. Could make a lot in the short run though!

  • I don't get it when he said he wasn't profitable in the $30,000 in revenue o.O

  • So Kevin ran an EDUCATIONAL SOFTWARE company, Robert ran an INTERNET SECURITY SOFTWARE company, and they chose the REAL ESTATE agent to help them run their EDUCATIONAL INTERNET SOFTWARE business...

    idiots!

  • Barbara never loses cuz she isnt so greedy.

  • @Gregorgovitch I agree. Robert is also not very greedy.

  • haha i love kevin

  • Difference between a bank loan and a shark loan is that shark loans comes with higher equity but more expertise.....

  • @AWeoWeo808

Most of these people who get money from the sharks would never ever get a loan from a bank unless they can show enough collateral that they lack in the first place.

  • personally id always want someone with a good backround, id rather give away more of my company for experience

  • i gotta agree with kevin on this one.

  • with good friends and by having an acitive role in Univeristy such as playing sports, studying at the library, going to the occasional class, round of bruski's at the bars you can get a hold of any notes! In fact, i get my hands on midterms. 100% is reserved for God in univeristy, unless your a "go getter" and grab a hold of tests.

  • money has no soul, and I am made of money -Kevin O'leary

  • sick line lol, kevin is such a boss I would go in business with him anyday, your guaranteed to get rich under his ruthless wings

  • @ScarbzDynasty I agree with you 100% Everyone who claims to "hate" O'leary, never made "billions" of dollars. These guys want to sell educational notes and don't know that O'leary made the 4 Billions dollar Learning Company, from within a cavernous basement.

  • @jaekn shuddup.

  • @jaekn didn't o'leary make softkey, which is just a retarded cd rom program full of games?

  • @Noobssuckass300 and made a shit load

  • @ScarbzDynasty He'd eatchu for brkfst! :)

  • @ScarbzDynasty you are absolutley crazy if you believe that. You really think you'd be able to succed with him on your team. All he cares about is money and himself, I can guarantee you he wont second guess throwing you under the bus and taking over your company. Barbara, has integrity, talent and experience that's why she almost always beats out the other sharks.

  • @XxHalo12xX this has to be copyrighted!

  • i can only watch the full episode 1 where can i watch more shark pls i am a big fan of this show

  • ABC's website I think, but dont hold me to it

  • haha Kevin always get screwd over by Barbara, looks good on the bald bastard.

  • fail

  • I love how Barbara nods her head before they answered haha.

But the guys were so stupid. Barbara is a real estate mogul.

Kevin made 3.2 Billion dollars on an education/internet software company....are they just illogical, or stupid?

They are promoting EDUCATIONAL software on the INTERNET. Why would you go with a real estate mogul?

No sense. Oh well, Kevin will probably copy the idea, and run them into the ground.

  • @ItalianRacer7

Well if they feel they will be successful either way and all they need is money, then they didn't necessarily make the wrong choice.

  • They did. If all they needed was the money, they could have gone to the bank for a loan. These people come for expertise.

  • @ItalianRacer7

I totally agree. They had two kingmakers in the palm of their hands, and they threw them away.

  • I would hate to do any sort of business with a guy like Kevin.

  • you know when robert asked kevin to get in thats probably what knocked them out of the coversation. They probably would have done the business with just Robert

  • I love how everybody's gonna "pay." "Robert, you're gonna PAY! Barbra, you're gonna PAY!" Shut the fuck up already, dude. No one cares.

  • So True.........Kevin = Shark Attack !!!!!!!!

  • this show is amazing

  • The 51% is not about "ownership", it's about "voting rights". There are deals done where someone takes 60% ownership and the 40% holder has 51% or 61% voting rights.

Voting rights is what holds weight. 51% voting means it doesn't matter what the 49% thinks as the 51% will always have final say.

  • Why do they say 51% instead of 50%?

  • 51% means they get ownership of the company.

  • So over 50% is total control of the company?

  • thAT one percent stands for ownership of the corporation you moron

  • It's Ownership, they basically control the company. You only have 49%.

  • It's having the power to take control of the company.

For example, if I think that the $1 million dollars should go into manufacturing, but you feel it should go into advertising, whoever has 51%+ ultimately makes that decision.

You are in a really good spot if you have above 50% because that means the company is yours essentially, which is why most are a little less generous with their companies should the Sharks ask for that 51%.

  • this was awesome

  • i love this show
