I have an idea...let's stop beating the hell out of this planet and stay here. Should be a world wide limit on child bearing..mandatory hysterectomy after one birth..stillborn or alive. Otherwise, simple math tells you that we run out of resources if we continue multiplying at such a rate. I can't believe everybody has given up on our survival on earth.
Check out the Joint European Torus where they have created plasma burning 100 million degrees using the tokamak reactor (cool name) also International Experimental Reactor which is being built right now. I just learnt all this last night so... I'm so excited that I just can't hide it.
All this space stuff sounds good, but even if we started building a lot of this stuff right now it would take half a century before it would be usable, and that would be without any interference from political agendas, wars, or accidental setbacks. It's sad that the odds are I won't even see our species colonize the moon within my lifetime. We're too slow to get anything done.
Twitter use REALLY !.. that's lame. We are NOT realy to goto mars. Is would cost 1 Trillion dollars to build a moon base. It would cost alot more to goto mars THE RIGHT WAY With Gravity of some kind. BTW the wheel in space is OLD news.
Shoot. 4 mins in and I have so much to comment on.
Alan, NASA's tweets are awesome! E.g. they tweet when the live feed from the ISS goes public. I watched the astronauts' space walks to repair the ammonia pump live! Thanks to their tweets. If that isn't a nerdgasm I don't know what is.
That probe is going into the 'atmosphere' of the Sun. Hopefully they can learn more about solar weather coz those kind of storms can can knock my Internet. Anything to stop that gets a thumbs up from me.
@librano Fusion vs fission: Fuse -> Fusion... joining atoms together; Fissure -> breaking atoms apart. Fusion is what goes on in the Sun (hydrogen to helium)... Fission is what goes on in a nuclear reactor (uranium to lead I think)
OK, that's how I understand it... hope I'm not make a fool of myself.
I think space exploration is going to make a big leap soon. If NASA doesn't go, ESA, ISRO, CNSA, Virgin Galactic, etc someone is going to do it. In 50 years, I definitely see the Moon being mined.
@librano Totally loving where J@N is going... I think you guys just might knock Diggnation off the #2 spot on my list of favorite shows. LAS is the obvious #1 ;) Rock on guys!

We won't leave earth until we have to..after we totally screw it up. Totally agrees with njdss4 below also.

That "bioship" you showed was an Island 3 Space Colony. I'm a gundam fan, I know an Island 3 when I see one.

Jupiter Mars flight is sponsored by Coca Cola. Remember federal law number one, no Pepsi on board.

i think we should go to the moon first build a base there then go to mars
