  • ty junkman good stuff, i'm on my way to buy a pc now

  • Nice video.

If it takes all week does that means you wash the car between each coat of Zaino? That is on a whole new level.

  • @lowlifeplaya No, I would cover the car between coats.

  • Junkman, These are the very best videos on washing and waxing. What is the New and Improved series titled?

  • @crosschords

Look for "Part 1 - Adam's Polishes Intro". That is my latest series. I will be uploading another as soon as I slow down with my car show traveling.

  • Loved watching this. thanks for taking the time to make this!

  • You need to check out my new and improved version of this!

  • Beautiful work, just beautiful. I'm gonna buy a porter cable for sure.

  • You need to check out my new and improved wash and wax series. It is much more detailed.

  • Junkman

Why do you switch from Zino products to Adam's?

    Art

  • I really didn't switch per say, I just use more Adam's products than Zaino products. Mainly because of the simplicity. I can't tell any difference in the final results between the two brands so I chose the go with the product that requires least amount of steps.

Regardless of which of the two products you use, you can't go wrong with either. They are both outstanding products.

  • Thanks for your fast responce

I'm a little confused with so many of your series. I have a two month old RED Audi. I have swirls and spider webs. with orange pad from Adam's and my PC on setting 5 use swirl and haze remover and after that use Fine Machine polish with white pad?

    Best regards

    Art

  • Yes, that is correct.

The reason the videos may leave some confusion is because you are watching them here, instead of watching them from the threads they are posted in. You are missing out on some very important information by just watching them here.

  • thanks for gettin back to me so soon, and thanks for all the info you told me, it will help me alot

  • how come you dont stay with meguires products for all your steps ??????

  • lol!

Actually, you watched my old series. My new series is 10 videos long! Thus, you really can't skip any steps as I go over exactly what has to be done. You do have one advantage and that is you have a white car. You can hide all kinds of imperfections in white paint.

Check out my new 10 video series. More stuff to learn!

  • Oh you bet I will. These are absolutely fun to watch, informative and entertaining as well. Seriously though, ever been a show host? If not, consider it!

  • Actually, I've done radio and now I do a computer TV show! :)

  • Wow man you should be a TV show host or something. I've never had more fun watching a tutorial on something before.

You really know how to talk to your audience and explain everything nicely.

Your 101 however, seems to be more for a weekend car.... I have a daily driver that I just bought and would like to keep it in mint condition. Which steps can I skip, and what should I focus on the most.

The car is a 09 mazdaspeed 3, in Crystal White Pearl

    Thanks!

  • nice work, watched all of your 101 vids it's a shame i have a 16 year old car :P

That's not worth all of this work but I loved the clear explanation.

    cheers

  • Guess what? There's a new 10 part episode that is uploading right now! It just got more involved!

    Thanks for watching!

  • Shoot me an email through You Tube. My description will probably be longer than the space here allows. I have a solution that will work for you.

  • Hey Junkman

thanks for the reply. I have a question for you. I am having trouble cleaning the interior of my windshield. I have used many many products, materials and technices to get the oily scum off my windshield. I think I have it and I go driving toward the sun and I see streaks and haze. I had the same trouble with my durango. As picky as you are I thought you might have some suggestions.

PS what is the deal about edgeless wiping clothes?

  • nice vette...i've always wanted one. have ever let anybody else drive? I am assuming not. great video though.

  • No one but the girlfriend twice!

  • Hi Junkman, Graham in the UK here. Thanks for the mavellous video, I have never used professional 'products' before or an orbital polisher before so was looking for guidance and help, and your video is just the thing. many thanks.

  • Glad to hear it Graham! I spent time in the UK back in '85. Had a blast. Always wanted to visit again. If you want some more pointers or need some more assistance, join the forum at Adam's Polishes. That's one of the spots I hang at and fellow detail gurus camp out there also. We can answer any questions you may have.

  • Thanks for the video, looks shiny.

    nice vette.

  • Thanks.

  • Nice Presentation, I have always used Maguires #26 yellow paste wax with great results. But i think i will try Zaino's as i have heard nothing but good things about their products.

I know allot of people love their leather conditioner, But what products is like Maguires Final detail?.

Would it be the Grand Finale? Just wondering.

  • Either the Grand Finale or the Z6. I like the Z6 a lot. Haven't used the Grand Finale enough to give a good review.

  • Have you tried NXT 2.0. It is the best wax out there, I haven't heard of Zaino...

  • Until you've tried Zaino, you won't know what you're missing. Zaino is NOT a wax, but a polish. It is not for everyone as it takes a dedicated individual to use it who is looking for the long term results, not the quick fix.

Look it up on the web. It has a huge following.

  • LOL BB

  • Using compressed air does nothing but stir up dirt and allow it to settle on the car/ If I were in a controlled environment were I could completely eliminate the dust, then I would use a blow dryer.

    No, I haven't tried ZCS.

You can switch back and forth between Zaino products. That's why I like their products; there is no set way that they must be used.

  • The Porter Cable is better than anything by hand.

I have used Zaino's PC-Fusion for minor scratches. Other than that, I use the more abrasive Meg's products to get the more aggressive scratches out.

I use the 5.5 and the 6.5 size waffle weave pads that they offer at Autogeek.

  • Wow, you have a lot of questions!

I don't use a pressure washer because all the pressure in the world will never remove that dirt film the way a soft cloth that actually touches the car will. Use a pressure washer and let the car dry. Then, look at the area just behind the wheel wells. A nice dusty looking film will remain. The same type of film that you'll find in your shower.

  • Why don't you use a pressure washer?

Isn't it better than actually rinsing the car?

Is the porter cable much better than the applicator provided with the use of Zaino products?

Have you tried anything else than Megs fine cut?

What is the size and brand of your waffle weave?

Why don't you use compressed air or a blower?

    Have you tried ZCS?

You have indicated the use of Z2 then Z5. I know that you have to start with Z5 then always end with Z2?
