  • Great explanation, during treatment. Only wish your camera was closer to the injection site. I am an RN wanting to specialize in injectables. Do you have any advise for education and hands on? I am in Ontario, Canada. Thanks for the great video:)

  • @cheryl401

Thanks. I do have videos on here that demonstrate the injections more up-close. I would suggest you contact your Medicis or Allergan rep in Ontario Canada and see if they can set up additional training for you.

  • A word of advice - I put Restylane and had a violent allergic reaction that almost deformed my face. Do a test before !!!!!

  • @MrAlyah

That sounds horrible! 1 in 10,000 patients do get allergic reactions despite the fast Restylane is a Hyaluronic Acid which is a natural part of our skin and body. Make sure whoever injected you used actual Restylane and not a knock off. These days plenty of people go to Spas, Gyms, and other non-cosmetic surgeons to save on cost and may end up getting injected with poor technique or lack of sterility, etc.

  • What happens with the fluid after 6 months?

does the body break it down, or does it difffuse out of the lips?

  • From the moment it is injected, your body starts absorbing it.

  • And substances like Artefill or Silicone are "permanent" because the body cant absorb them so instead your body "walls them off" by creating little micro spheres of scar tissue around the particles.

  • it dosnt disipate with every patient though you must know that

  • it dosnt always disipate

  • ohh myy.... he is onee hottie.. haha :)

  • well i am sure dr naderi is a great dr too,,,

  • well i already talked to turkey's best plastic surgeon who had done on so many celebs hulya avasr an lots of em dr tunc tiryaki he is young and great ,i m gonna fly to istanbul to do it there

  • The volume depends on the starting point of your lips and how full you want to go or should go. It can range anywhere from 0.4cc to 1 or 2cc. Most patients use 1cc for upper and lowers together but not all patients have the same requirements or goals.

The first injection should not last only 1 week. Juvederm lasts a little longer than Restylane. The range is 4-6 months but I have seen patients whos injection resorbed in 2 months and others that lasted a year or longer. It all depends.

  • hello,

may I ask the amount of restylane in ml for one lip insection? And how much treatments I have to undergo so that it last for 6 months. I heard that the first insection will vanish after 1 week

  • Oh wow, You are near me. How much is this procedure cost?

  • Hi,

The cost depends on the amount and type of filler. It may be somewhere between $350 to $600.

  • Hi Dr. Naderi. Thanks for the reply. This procedure usually has to be done 2x per year? Or is it sometimes more frequent than that? Is there anything more permanent that can be dobe once I like the look of my lips?

  • The safest fillers for the lips are the Hyaluronic acids such as Juvederm or Restylane. They last about 4-6 months in the lips but longer in other parts of the face. The longer lasting fillers such as Radiesse or Artefill do not belong in the lips as they can create nodules. Lip implants with Advanta implants or Alloderm are also options after you have tried the fillers a few times to make sure you like the look.
