  • Damn right! Get those shirts clean you lazy excuse making excuse for a wife!

  • Why don't you try bathing, you dirty bastard, so you don't stain your shirts with your nasty yellow body grease? geez...

  • Wash your own stinkin' shirts, Stupid. And you cook MY freakin' dinner. Don't forget to clean up the kitchen real good when you're done, Buster.

  • .....but if it washes my whites as white as it does, is it safe for my coloureds?

  • "That's a woman for ya"...where's Lorena Bobbitt when you really need her?

  • Wash your own damn shirts then!

  • Tell him to whiten his own fucking shirts, what an asshole.

  • My mother bought that same wringer washing machine in 1952. I think it came with a free box of Tide packed inside the washer drum.

  • you know wats that i cant tell the difference lol:D

  • What did it have? Bluing? That stuff they used to use in the old days to get white laundry whiter? Or did it have Borax in it, like the commercials Oh Fab I'm glad there's lemon freshened borax in you.

  • Is this the author Mary Higgins Clark when she was younger? I heard she did a FAB commercial.

  • this was not from 1952. tv advertisements weren't made until 1957

  • "That's a brand name for you."

  • Thats a clothes wringer on that washing machine, you ran the clothes threw, then ,out to the clothes line and hang them up. I spent many a day following Mom while she hung them out and brought them in,even in the winter. frozen pants ,you could stand them up against a wall . And then women had to iron all that stuff too ! Thats why it was laundry day, it took all day! MY MEMORIES FROM AROUND 1954 OR 55.

  • i'd bleach the life otta him!!

  • In 1952, no self-respecting man would be caught dead--or alive--near a washing machine! (LOL) And compared to what detergents promise today, a "livelier white" sounds so innocent!!!

  • ofcourse 'wash it yourself' was out of the question...

  • Why don't you wash'em yourself ????

  • lol... old commercials are so goofy

  • "Livelier White!" *snort*

  • Does the lab lady remind anyone else of Merna Loy?

  • Hey, buddy, you don't like how your shirts aren't white enough? Wash 'em yourself and shut up!

  • Sexist! LOL

  • I love the lipstick on the Fab lab lady.

  • Wow! These old commercials are wonderful!

  • I like the way the woman said: "How can I get his shirts white? Unless I BLEACH THE LIFE OUT OF THEM?" These old commercials are awesome!

  • Today she would have told him to wash it himself.

  • @BeatBuddy it is a shame.

  • Have yer mammy do the shirts....

  • LOL...I think she should burn her apron!

  • This usually appeared on "THE COLGATE COMEDY HOUR", "STRIKE IT RICH" and other Colgate-Palmolive-Peet sponsored series at the time...note the spot's running time: 1:34. There was a different "yardstick" back then at to how long a sponsor's message could last (especially during the "COMEDY HOUR")...

  • Thank you for this video i had to watch it for a school project.
