The show on Monday was fuckin Amazing!!! Lol too amazing that tuesdays show on beta i was a lil disapppointed dont get me wrong he threw down but his set on Monday was unreal!!!! Cant get enough of the Cell either!
He's definitely not mixing live, pretty much everything skrillex does during his sets is pre-mapped through ableton, then he just messes with effects, and eq live. That's why he plays pretty much the same set every night. With that said, It doesn't matter what a dj does live, all they're there to do is get the crowd dancing, and he does an awesome job of it. His set at beta the next night was definitely mixed live, it was easy to tell because it was not nearly as intricate.
@DubstepLlVE I was there front and center, spooky tings on monday and beta on tuesday. Seeing him dancing around doesnt have anything to do with actual beat matching.
@SlimerSGB666 hahaha no not really, he uses his M-audio trigger finger pad, and messes with the song, please dont be ignorant about stuff you are not sure, thank you :)
@homelesspimps "messes with the song", you clearly also have no idea what you're talking about, Skrillex pre-mixes his entire set in ableton live, then runs izotope stutter edit over the master track which is what he's controlling with the trigger finger. Triggering effects is not mixing by any means. Litterally all he is doing live is triggering effects and eq'ing, that's why you dont see any kind of real controllers on stage with him ie: cdj, s4 etc. only the trigger finger, laptop and mixer.

@JackassKids69 you're exactly right. I've seen him 3 times and the first two had me convinced he was a terrible DJ. Iv'e always loved him as a producer but he was never very good live. This show COMPLETELY changed that perception. He put on an incredible show. Spooky Tings 2011, best show ever :D
