I can kinda hear Kuja's theme from Final Fantasy IX, which wasn't even released back then. Well, the track is from the same composer. Oh, and this is my favorite dungeon theme of all time!

It's bittersweet, while I wish Mitsuda could claim to have composed the entire soundtrack, some of Uematsu's tracks in CT are definitely classic, and among some of his best works imo.

It makes me wonder ,if despite his track record, Uematsu actually felt intimidated to fill in Mitsuda's shoes on this project. You can tell tracks like this were hardly handled as fillers!

Uematsu was not the main composer on Chrono Trigger. Pretty sure he just finished it off after the other guy burnt out from stress or something.

@Okaruwazashi Mitsuda collapsed, and had to be hospitalized for stomach ulcers. He did a similar thing on his next OST, Front Mission: Gun Hazard (work exhaustion). The Japanese have a strong work ethic. =D

@LeviathanLP Yes, that is correct...I looked it up the day after I first commented on this video, but at least Uematsu had some involvement with the OST (He only composed a few of the tracks, whereas Mitsuda did most of them.)
