hey i'm thinking on this hard but i need to ask you is this easy to install and can i tell the difference after i put on the Neuspeed Supercharger Kit
I was thinking about getting the neuspeed supercharger and when i was reading up on them i heard that they have overheating issues. Do you have any problems with your car overheating?
Nice video and nice sounds!! I am thinking to buy one after watching yours for my MK4 2.0 GOLF. So do you have any recomanded place to buy it? Does the installation of SC legal in Canada?
Keep your stock parts so you can go get your supercharger if the car gets written off. ;o) Your premiums wouldn't go up since (around here anyway) they go my the number of cylinders and not by measured horsepower.
I have a K&N cone and a magnaflow 2.25" catback. Stock brakes are holding up fine, I don't hit higher speeds than I used to so the amount I use them is the same pretty much. The SC makes 0-60 (0-100km/h) a lot more fun, on the highway it's just like a really fast NA motor since it's always in boost.
Some people make stupid comments. If all he can afford is a S/C for his Beetle, then why make a comment about purchasing a GTI, new vehicle? If he could afford to, he would've done it already. Jesus. How's the beetle doing now bro?
The car is working fantastic! I'm really happy with it, I can hang with my friend's 12v VR6 on the highway and he only pulls away slowly when we're both giving 'er.
Have you done any exhaust or intake upgrades? Also, how are you stock brakes holding up? It's nice to know that someone is satisfied with 8v 2.0 S/C beetle.
how many MPG are you getting now that u supercharged it? I have a 8V golf 2.0L and want to do the same, but am afraid of the bad gas mileage ive been hearing about.
It's a about the same believe it or not! It's a bit better on the highway and a bit worse in town. Overall it's the same, even though it costs more to run it on 91 octane.
Yea i guess 145whp is better that 92......it is still is weak though. You can get a new GTI 2.0T with 200wp and a shitload of torque. Imagine just with a ECU reflash the thing is gonna be a BEAST.Sell that damn Bettle and get a new VW......A MKV GTI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Like 145whp I think, haven't had a chance to dyno it yet but that's what other people with similar setups are making. Might sound weak but stock is 92whp so I'll take all I can get.
anyway you can make the supercharger whine quieter??

Nice video... I like the sound of the charger, not overpowering! Did you do the install yourself? If so, did you find any of it difficult?

I"m from toronto. Aren't there different rates for modified cars? I'm just worried they won't cover me if they find out about the s/c. Nice car btw!

@glockpoppin
GTI 2.0t is not 200WP, they are rated 200hp at the crank, Big difference.
BTW not every one can afford at new GTI !
