  • I have a 3.5L 09 impala and I was thinking about getting one. Sounds pretty good

  • Sounds real nice. I've been real hesitant too put a flowmaster on my 3.4. Afraid it would sound too ricey, but this sounds great!

  • i have a 2001 impala with a 3.8 will it sound the same with the Flowmaster 40 2 chamber classic

  • @93MATT1 Alone it will not, youll probably need a magnaflow resonator to go with it, to calm down the naturally high pitched noise that comes from the 3.8.

  • i already have an intake on mine... how much louder would it be? i was also thinkin of goin wit the cherry bomb extreme too... any ideas?

  • I pm'ed you.

  • my mom impala sound like that and hers is black

  • sounds cool

  • i got a 3.4L that i just got yesterday with 131000 Miles on it. it looks like new, but id like to do some stuff to it. Any advice?

  • Your lucky to find one that hasnt been beaten to death, with that kind of mileage. Congrats on the find, PM me on what youd like to get out of your vehicle, I should be able to help.

  • i got a 2005 impala v6 3.4.. i wanna put some flows on it. what brand and kind do you suggest?

  • @skinnee90s Message me, let me know what you want to sound like, try to be specific, cruise, idle wot etc. Mellow, isanely loud, dead quiet until wot. Just your preferences.

  • sounds better then most of the 3.4's ive heard on here.

  • So its a stock exaust with flowmaster 40 muffler?

  • In this video, yes ;)

If you need help selecting a muffler, feel free to pm me.

  • Here is the info from the flomaster website itself.....10 Series Delta Force® Race - Single Chamber

The 10 series race mufflers all utilize Flowmaster's patented "Delta Flow" technology and have a noticeable dB reduction over open headers. Recommended for racing applications where a race muffler is required, but without a set decibel limit to be met. Please call the Flowmaster tech-line with your specific dB requirements and applications.

  • I checked out my box, I have the most agressive muffler at the time of purchase, it lists Most-to-Least Agressive. Ill list Tip-to-Bottem. 40 original, Super 40 40 delta flow 80 cross flow Hushpower II 30 street and strip 50 delta flow 60 delta flow 50 suv performance 50 big block-HD 70 Series Big Block II Mines the 40 original. Most aggressive of the 11 flowmaster options available on this box, at the time ofcourse. Ill clean comments later.
  • Do you have product number?

I have same exact car, red and everything.

Intakes are risky business when making them yourself, be vewwy vewwy caywfuww.

The 3800's with cams and headers sound like small block v8's. its great

  • Ive had mine for a very long time, Its a very effcient design, provides more airflow then any aftermarket varient. Its really not that hard to do. I could help you, if you need help.

Sorry, I dont have the product number, but its a Flowmaster 40 series Classic, the loudest option flowmaster has lol.

For best results, Center in Center out with a 2.25 inlet.

  • i have the same car bro! im 16 and i just bought this car...i wanted a v8 really badly for that v8 sound but i dont have the money...i think this will do the trick!

  • Making a quality intake can drastically change the sound also, you might want to start with that and see if its loud enough for you.;)

  • love that sound man i got the same car good luck with it

  • Thanks, Im in the process of a new exhaust, its just gonna take a little time and innovation. 150,000+ miles and still running like the day I bought it, hope it stays that way lol

  • all u put on was exhaust system? my dad had about the same year and i never thought it could saound like that

  • Hey, Thanks, You should hear some of these cammed, they sound like beasts!

  • nice car man!

  • Thx ;P

  • hey man, sounds good. not sure if you know about it, but check out naioa sometime. biglinc1 is a member on there 2.

  • Yeah, I noticed lol Im KcJenImpala

  • ahh alright thats cool then haha, just makin sure more people know about it lol

  • nice sound man! sounds deep...i like that!!

  • thank for the reply

  • Inlet/Outlet 2.25 for 3.4 2.5 for 3.8

Muffler back, just an exhaust tip, resonated tip is reccomended,

if its still to loud for your taste, add another resonator between inlet and exhaust ending.

I purchased my muffler from East Coast Speed shop for 60 bucks. You can also get them online.

  • Sweet ride. By chance do you remeber what size inlet/outlet you ordered for your muffler? Also what did you do from the muffler back? if you ordered one where did you order it form or did you go to a shop and get it done. Thanks in advance.

  • Any chance you could upload a clip that is taken outside? being in a closed space, really cant tell how it really sounds. i have an impala and am looking for an exhaust, and i would really like to hear it outside. thanks

  • Check out my other vids, theres a quick driveby, though this cam takes amazing pics, it lacks in audio quality in, it amplifies highs and mids, though thats not the cams intended purpose anyway.

  • very nice. so do you still have your resonator installed or is everything beside the muffler stock?

  • Yes, so far on the exhaust, the muffler alone is the only change, its still stock resonated.
