Although she is "Dark" Samus, she is actually extremely vulnerable to the Dark Beam, and especially the Darkburst (this is due to her origin in the normal universe, not the Dark World). For this fight, Dark Beam is your best friend :)
The Dark Beam does significantly more damage to Dark Samus than the Power Beam, and the Light Beam does the least damage of all. This is because, as I said above, Dark Samus originated in the normal, "light" universe, and the Dark Beam is stated to damage light creatures the best. The Light Beam works best on creatures originating from Dark Aether.
@MultiStickATG She's "dark" in the way a black rubber ball is dark, I guess. And also dark in the sense of evil. But she still comes from the "light" universe, so that must be the logic behind it. But either way it's kind of overthinking it. Retro decided she should be weak to the Dark Beam, and if you go try it in the game, you'll see how well it works on her :)
@QuasarEE i know, i beat her already, with only the dark beam and super missles. i was just wondering why dark works on a dark being. I was thinking tht dark beam against dark samus is like putting out a fire with a flamethrower.

She is the source of all phazon and is, in fact, Metroid Prime created anew. As such, her power isn't of the dark, rendering her vurlnable to it.
