  • What a nice chopper!

  • thay always seid that class20s hated starting up in the winter

  • brings back memories,, standing on the local station,, listening for the whistling of the exhaust,, and betting it was a pair of 20's or a 40.... bring back the good old days

  • That didn't start with too much difficulty. To say that it hasn't run for 3 years shows what a marvelous piece of engineering it was in the first place. Plus, obviously, the skill and patience of the ELR engineers. Nice one lads!

  • i love the sound the 20s make

  • Sounds great, nice work!

  • big engine wow

  • If you think its big you should see a deltic

  • When the fitter has his hand in the engine checking each cylinder, is he increasing the fueling on a particular cylinder or decompressing it?

  • Sounds like he's increasing the individual cylinder injector jerk pump to clean out the injectors. He could also be opening a test cock that opens into the exhaust to check compression. I'd bet on the former.

  • Yes hes individually increasing fuel rack position for each injector to make sure the cylinder in question is firing.

  • best class 20 in preservation. sorted

  • fabulous. a credit to the elr as usual

  • Choppertastic! Bet it feels like saving a life when you bring such a beast back to life :)

  • Wow... That one didnt have many spider webs in her.

  • Well done lads, sounds sweet.
