The only reason Miami, Fl. was named Miami, was because railroad workers from Ohio named it that while building the railroad down there. They named it after the Miami Valley in Ohio. The railraod connected Daytona (named after Dayton, Oh in the Miami Valley) to Miami, Fl. (named after the Miami Valley in ohio)

My problem with MU is that its in Oxford,Ohio. The town is set up to bleed the students dry. They sell them beer (even under-aged) and then they charge them and extort fines and lawyers fees. The Oxford police are abusive and dishonest. Its a horrible situation.

Since when do rankings mean shit in anything? Miami U is so bad at grad programs that of course they will be lower ranked than the U..It is a medium sized liberal arts undergrad school: it's specialty.

As for the sports, hockey is the only sport that matters, which nobody at the U cares gives a shit about. If you want to tear us a new asshole, acknowledge our apathy, and realize that the girls here actually are just as hott.

UVA and William and Mary have acceptance rates of <40% of applicants, while MiamiU has a 75% acceptance rate. So, in terms you'll understand, MiamiU is not selective. At all. Nor are you a public ivy since that implies it is a challenge to get into MiamiU. They say that to try to get kids to go there. Sorry!
