I don't get the anti Americanism on here. US is still the most powerful nation in the world, and Chicago is one its most beautiful and prosperous cities. So everyone just chill. This is not the official olympic bid video either. This is just a slideshow some guy put together, and did a good job. The only reason Chicago was eliminated first was because all of the Asian countries got together and voted for Tokyo so they wouldn't be eliminated first. Best city in the world right here.
I'm still amazed that New York City hasn't hosted the Olympics, but Atlanta has. That's just bizarre. I think the olympic committee might be shunning the United States because the last couple of times they were in the U.S. they weren't the greatest. Atlanta sucked and Salt Lake City (???) wtf SALT LAKE CITY??? What were they thinking!?! I do think NYC should get the Olympics and so should Chicago. But NYC is much more of a world city, so it should get it first. Chicago second.

A olimpíada será no rio , e eles vão despejar 14 bilhões de dólares do nosso dinheiro pra fazer os jogos. Só pra comparar, Chigaco tem um orçamento de 3,8 bi, Madri 4,4 bi, e Tóquio 5,6 bi. Chicago wasn't ready for the olympics at all. Most people were against it anyways and we have our own financial issues. Why can't we use the money to get better education for the kids in the city? It has the highest crime rate out of all the contending cities. Tokyo came second and both of them were knocked out in the first round. Plus why would you give a country who's fighting 2 wars the olympics? I'm from Chicago too but we were not olympic ready....

I have been in Chi town since the late 1980's when I was blossoming into my womanhood. I have lived in Wilmette, Rogers Park,Portage Park, Wicker,logan Square,Hyde and Bucktown. I hate where I live today. My daughter got me into this mess and I have lived here for 2 years. I refuse to let my nieces and nephews come around here, especially in the summer.
