omg u killed the wrong people ? so what look at 9/11 footage and remember tht day they intentionallly killed civilians. should have droped an atomic bomb in the middle east. would have send a message to the world really quick
I'm guessing these are the military's equivalent to post katrina new olrean polices "ham sandwitch". I don't like this but I still support our military, but damn get the bad apples out. Although I don't think it's possible. All militarys have these kinds of issues, not just America
How do you feel about the opposing force dropping weapons on US troops? This kind of very selfish, narrow-minded justification created the atrocities committed in Guantanamo Bay and Abu-ghraib. Keep in mind if you bend the rules for your own benefit, you can't really complain when your opponents do the same. In addition, it's a disservice to your brothers who don't DW and do observe ROE.
@WhiteKnight180 Sorry, WK. Did you read my posts? How have I not understood your argument? Does the fact that disagreeing with you mean I have misunderstood you?? Look at your wording "intend" ..."expect." You're trying to give the public a "realistic" grasp of the combat situation on the ground by falsifying the evidence and circumstances? Does that make any sense? Try to pass that logic on a group of jurors or a judge, military or non-military.
Soldiers whose intentions were good when they signed-up and have been disillusioned by the realities of their "duties" make me think twice. I have empathy for them. Especially the true soldiers that spoke-out in this posting. They are true soldiers, honor-abiding warriors, defenders. I will support these combatants. But I refuse to absentmindedly support soldiers, committing atrocities, rationalizing their crimes on humanity.
I am not an American. But I grew up and was educated in the states. I have a love for the US and will go back to study there. However, I disdain their military actions in foreign countries. I strongly oppose what America has done recently. I am Korean. But I have strong emotional ties to America. I owe a lot to the nation. But, but...I am disgusted by what has been going on in the middle east. I have been very vocal about not "supporting US troops."
Set the standards extremely high, They can't or won't be observed exactly, but at least they will be followed somewhat. Lowering the bar will make everyone, on both sides miserable.
But put a little more thought into it, and you'll realize that it is actually more detrimental to your troops and yourself. If you torture the opposition. Then you can't say anything when they do it to you or your brothers. All is not fair in love in war, nor is it beneficial to either party. Even in war, even if the parameters set can't be followed exactly, it is essential to set them anyhow.
You are also missing the bigger picture. If you condone "drop weapons" for your troops, you are also adhering to the opposition doing the same thing. If you do that, then you make it fair game for your opponents to do that and worse. It's the same thing with torture. Self-justification for torture is fine if you are thinking about immediate, short-term results..not really though..cause 99% of people will say anything to stop the pain.
You can't make up rules on the fly. You run the risk of being an in-the-moment, over-emotional renegade, which is the EXACT opposite of what a professional, trained soldier should be. Bias??? If you are making your own rules on the fly, you are being bias. Work within the parameters you have been given. That is the definition of a genuine soldier, professional.
@WhiteKnight180 I don't agree. You have to make a clear distinction between what is right and wrong. If you continue to make justifications for your own self-serving needs, then you open up a chasm of problems. I did this..it was wrong ...but under the circumstances ....it was alright. ROE was made to uphold the honor that a true warrior and defender should have.
also who is willing to bet that we will start seeing this in law enforcement soon (considering you see so many exmilitary getting into law enforcement positions....not to mention la enforcement is becoming increasingly militaristic and oppressive...
so these people can think to themselves "i want to survive to be home with my family" but for some reason the thought that perhaps their victim, does not also share this same mind set dosent occur??i mean i guess this shouldnt surprise me ive always known that those who join the military are generally idiots and skill-less morons who did poorly through out school, and have no real talents, or prospects to get a job...
I think its a good think when american troops (or any NATO or UN troops) are killed its a good thing and needs to happen more, the sovereign people of the middle east have the right to defend against their occupier the troops who do nothing but harass and kill the natives...i am on the side of the "brown people' on this one....just think if the united states was occupied by a foreign power, would you just let them oppress you or would you resist...
You are retarded if you believe this, even in the case of access damage it's not like we didn't spend millions warning civilians to stay at their own risk
This is part of what's so screwed up about our military. Our own military wont even back up and support their own troops when things like this happen and as a result they have to have "drop weapons" with them just in case. Disgusting to say the lease.
Bizarrely I thought this was a new vid and uploaded it on June 2 (although it reads June 3) THe Queen of England who is at the root of all of this..her coronation is JUNE 2nd. It's all coming out!
Typical kafir deceptive tactics. I'm sure the officers are in on it. Yankee dogs. The Mujahideen will kill you all sooner or later Inshallah. It was the case then, why wouldn't it be the case now?
People don't care! American people don't care about people who are equal to them in Iraq, they prove that they can't be bothered thinking for themselves and plant weapons on innocent bodies. It's disgusting!!!!
@strawberrylaralara I used to work at the Naval hospital here in San Diego (Balboa Hospital) and listened to the stories of some of the wounded Marines and Sailors who admitted taking part in these kinds of things. I feel horrible for them because now they have to deal with and live with their conscience for the rest of their lives.
@Goatskull I do feel sorry for them as well, because they know they did wrong, but felt helpless( even though they weren't totally), the sadness comes when they sign up because they want to do good (for their own country) but their consience tells them they are doing wrong by doing these false actions. I'm glad that it has been exposed!!
@strawberrylaralara It really goes back to the leadership. Too much if it is too cowardly to take responsibility and in effect throws these guys under the bus. Don't get me wrong, some of them go way above and beyond the "just following orders" excuse (Hamandania if I spelled that correctly), but still, they are put in impossible situations where it's imposible to alway make the right decision and then have to pay the price.
@Goatskull their conscience shouldnt be the only thing they have to deal with...these people shouldbe in jail or executed, preferably by the very same people they harmed....just let them get stoned to death...thousands of small stones slowly killing them should be good enough....
@Goatskull why? why should these people answer for their crimes, under the jurisdiction that those crimes were committed...just like everyone else....well i guess thats how you know feudalism when their are different laws for different people....
@suckmydick1138 Well for the most part the military rarely prosecutes its personnel for things like this, so right or wrong these guys will never see a court martial or the inside of a jail. The other thing is, we're not exactly fighting a uniformed military. It's kind of hard to tell who exactly the enemy is. Things like that play a factor. My Lai only LT Calley was convicted and that ended up being nothing more than a house arrest for 2 or three years, and that was obvious war crimes.
@Goatskull so perhaps the fact that they are generally not prosecuted probably adds to their willingness to do what is wrong...and im not saying the yare killing innocents on purpose (though some are), probably alot of the times they arent doing it on purpose but when it does happen and their was criminal intent it must be treated as a criminal action...
@suckmydick1138 It's a war. You're acknowledging that most aren't doing it on purpose yet you think they should be prosecuted? Or am I misunderstanding here? Also keep in mind that there are times when they have make quick split decisions that ultimately may or may not be the right thing to do. They may be in a situation where they have to search a house and decide to kill everybody there and not take chances.
@Goatskull Can you read what you're writing? This is why some people end up hating the US and not supporting "the troops." It's really convenient to dumb yourself down like this.Would you think like this if America wasn't a superpower? Would you use this rationalization to try to persuade or console relatives of civilian casualties? This is the rational of an infant or an adult with a severe case of arrested development. In irony it is also the same logic that terrorists use to justify themselves.
@paul81079 I don't care about other people's opinions about the U.S. Lets be real here. Do you care about other people's opinion about your county? As to not supporting the troops, they can go fuck themselves. If they disagree with the war fine. Hate the war but not the warrior. A person who crosses me and can't think that way get a fist flown into their face.
@Goatskull You do care. And you should. Your response to my post indicates that you do. You are passionate about your country and the service that military personnel provide. But I think that your unconditional love for American combatants has blinded your judgement.
You shouldn't justify the mistakes of the US military. You shouldn't baby lower-ranking military personnel (and that's what they are...you can't automatically categorize everyone who signed-on as "warriors") The military doesn't except minors.
In addition, you are only an "American" by chance. You happen to have been born in the US or have become a citizen by various means or by the efforts of older family members. What if you had been born an Iraqi, Afghan or Pakistani?
@paul81079 "What if you had been born an Iraqi, Afghan or Pakistani?" What IF? I never said I have anything against the people there or anywhere else. The whole point of this clip is that our solders would even feel the need to do this whole drop weapons thing. Remember, they're not fighting a uniformed military. If you really want to get technical, the insurgents ARE civilians in that they're not member of a unformed armed force.
@paul81079 Also notice. Read all of my posts here. No where did I ever say anything to the effect of it's OK to just hunt down innocent civilians for sport or rape and kill children or anything like that. For that matter (even though this is a whole different subject) I never even said it's right that we're even out there to begin with, but we are and we will be until we're not. Soldiers have to make sudden decisions that may not always be the right one.
@Goatskull while i agree with what you have to say for the most part....think about this the elite can declare war all they want but what good will it be if people refuse to fight for them....maybe people should just stop volunteering for war...and when their is conscription (slavery) the people need to violently resist, in defense of their own freedom...
@suckmydick1138 Perhaps, but it's not that simple. First off, the U.S. military is never going to cease to exist. No matter what your view is of the current wars we're in (or sort of in now), even you have to admit we need a military to defend our shores. All countries do. People join for any variety of reasons. Some honestly want to serve their country. Anything wrong with that? Once you make that commitment you really don't get to pick and choose your battles.
@Goatskull What past military conflicts do you consider defensive? Very few military actions taken by the US were "defensive." Just eat up all the propaganda your feeble mind can handle. Feel me? At least to a point?
@suckmydick1138 Now, let's get one thing straight. There ARE military personnel who go way above and beyond what is morally right. My Lai, or more recently Hamandinia or Haditha? Did you read that article in Rolling Stone last April about the kill teams? There ARE some who should be charged (but mostly likely wont). Overall though, things are just not that simple and that's the point of this clip that has you and I going back and forth on this. Feel me? At least to a point?
@Goatskull you realize the fact that they are not held accountable only justifies the resistance that our troops face...their is an easy solution to this whole thing and that is to not join the military in times of semi illegal war (they have Congress approval but they are making war with out any declaration) some say they are putting troops in an impossible situation...easy solution, dont put them in that situation...their is not back and forth, its an easy solution to this whole thing....
"easy solution, don't put them in that situation". Uh yeah, but that's the whole point. They ARE being put in that situation. The back and forth part is you and me as we are debating on this from different perspectives. I think we agree that they should not be put in that situation in the first place. We disagree as to how they should be dealt with after the fact.
@Goatskull you see when ever people arent held accountable whether its cops or military personnel, it only reinforces the resolve of the people and it will only cause those who are being oppressed to take matters into their own hands and use violence if necessary in defense of their loved ones and freedom...when ever these so called officials cross the line in to criminal actions they are to be dealt with as criminals and their status as officer is void....
@Goatskull that is why the intention of the founders were to not have standing army, and for the troops to swear their oaths to the constitution, not to an individual or committee....the ultimate authority to the troops USED to be the constitution...but then they have changed the oath....and its different for officers and non officers...that is also why they favored militias, and the citizens being armed and ready over federal troops,
@Goatskull while i agree with what you have to say for the most part....think about this the elite can declare war all they want but what good will it be if people refuse to fight for them....maybe people should just stop volunteering for war...and when their is conscription (slavery) the people need to violently resist, in defense of their own freedom...

@Goatskull Hey. "shit happens...it's war...what do you expect?"...This attitude that you have....Do you feel the same way when you hear about American civilians being killed in war zones by the opposition?
@paul81079 Well here's the thing. It IS war. Try listening to the the soldiers who were there for a change. I work in a military hospital and as a result of that I hear some of the stories. Yes some very disturbing accounts of things the very soldier, marine, sailor, or airmen was involved with. Tell me this. If one of these guys admits he was involved with killing innocent people but yet has a limb missing you can just tell him to fuck off? I can't.
Yes, war is ugly, but it doesnt mean you shouldnt be responsible for your actions. Every kill is a human being and covering it up in the boardroom or on the ground is encouraging tyranny in a bureaucratic trickle down the ranks. I support the troops for having to make those hard decisions that dont have a right answer. For justified killing to continue, the American justice system needs room for a little "grey"...or else our soldiers will resort to whatever means necessary..out of fear, not moral
Isn't the proper definition of war that there must be two armies fighting? There is the US CORPORATION (U.S. GOVERNMENT) which consists of the media, the banksters, the politicians and of course our brave men and women who drop bombs on innocent people from high altitude, remote controlled drones but who (and where) is the 'other army' we're allegedly fighting against? This isn't a war. The U.S. GOVERNMENT is engaging in genocide and ethnic cleansing and have been for the last 200+ years.
@AceOfHeart2012 This is the first time i hear anyone asking this question. Very well said. I think the US government is not even working for the American people; just like the arab leaders have not been working in the interest of their people...otherwise they would not have let Iraqi be invaded and occupied...I begin to see a horrible picture where the people of USA and the people of the Muslim world are the victims of a CRIMINAL CABAL that is global; fighting for territory and resources.
"They may hide (Their crimes) from men, but they cannot hide (Them) from Allah, seeing that He is in their midst when they plot by night, in words that He cannot approve: And Allah Doth compass round all that they do. Ah! These are the sort of men on whose behalf ye may contend in this world; but who will contend with Allah on their behalf on the Day of Judgment, or who will carry their affairs through?"Quran 4:108-109
I'm sorry but there is some MAJOR things in play that these Vets and analyst are missing. I'm getting sick and tired of guilt ridden soldiers coming back as if they got corrupted. War is War, plain and simple...BAD THINGS HAPPEN. We all know that when you put two men against each other in foreign land to kill each other. The biggest thing missing is soldiers will do what needs to be done if something happens because they don't want prison time when the Military Brass wants someone to hang.
@bison891 "BAD THINGS HAPPEN" because the wars in which the United States is currently embroiled are inherently BAD and EVIL. If you sign up to an evil cause, you will, no doubt, commit evil. D'ohp!
When will US soldiers actually start being brave and quit these wars? Apparently only loser conformist weak people join the US military. You all work for international banks and against the USA. Traitors do not come back here to America.
This is one of the reasons why they hate us........not the bullshit about " hating us for our freedoms".If I lived in another country and got invaded by the US and they killed my relatives and dropped a weapon on them....they would have created a super terrorist...because of the rest of my life I would want revenge. The US has committed a huge amount of war crimes and crimes against international law. All the crap we do to other nations causes terrorism.
who gives a shit it aint right. your correct! but when the people dont help you cause there apart of this cult called muslim or islamic radicals. Fuck them
Personally, I believe the Commanding officer is showing great strength by standing up for his men and introducing that idea. War is an impossible situation and regular rules do not apply. On the other hand, crimes such as raping and looting should be punished with extreme prejudice
@aircraftbuilder what a convenient way to get away with what you know is wrong by saying that their are two different rules... yea i guess what is normally accepted as wrong you can just make excuses...if war is an impossible situation why engage in it....but yea just say their are two sets of rules just like we do with law enforcement when they commit crimes or misconduct....way to go this is called feudalism, but a freedom loving american already knows this right ???you are a dumb fuck
@aircraftbuilder yes because choosing to not join the military because i dont want to perpetuate the military industrial complex, or become a slave for the federal govt...i mean their is historical precedent that the govt does not value its military, and experiments on them and uses them as cannon fodder...i guess because one does not fight in war makes one a little man....this idea that real men fight in wars, perpetuates such idiocy...but the small minded will always choose to fight for govts.
@aircraftbuilder look at me i can fight wars for the elite to help them accomplish their agenda...i am a man now...cuz i participate in prestigious murder...this is why i think its a good thing when US troops are killed overseas....
@aircraftbuilder sorry dude you have not been "defending your country." you were fighting for your paycheck and seizing resources that the top 1% of your nation hordes for itself^^.
Ya can't continue to kill the stinkin' bastards if yer locked in the brig...and you can't use peace-time standards to judge war-time situations. (And for the ladies & Nancy-boys: Can't speak of love, if you've never been "in love.") OK, close down the comments section...it's all been said.
@zuzulo56 so yo uare saying that what might be immoral in peace time, might be moral in war time??? how is that....talk about a logical fallacy...if something is immoral its immoral every time....i mean unless you are killing directly for self defense, or against those who actually intend on harming you (it dosent count when you are occupying their country....duh) is fine....
i am good with all that war is not fair war is won by being more violent than the enemy and mistakes are made so people die R O E kill everyone and stay alive you made a mistake thats ok your alive fuck johnny jihad
So, when is it murder? When we firebombed cities in Germany and Japan, did we murder the citizens? When we make up rules that cater to Muslim murderers, this is what happens. Muslim terrorists wear no uniforms, dont follow rules of war. This is their way. If I were running this war, I would make it clear that NO troops would be courtmartialed for mistakes. Dont cry too hard for islamic dog fuckers. They dont cry when they car bomb a school or behead a hostage.
first of all, these young men and women are in an impossible situation. It was thrust upon them by a corrupt usurped US Govt. Then they are not only not discouraged from carrying "Drop weapons", in some cases they are encouraged to do so. in some cases they are simply told to kill everything that moves, and it will be justified in the end. Our troops deserve to come home from Iraq and Afghanistan. Fuck Iraq! Fuck Afghanistan!! Fuck Osama!! He's fucking dead, already. The CIA made Al'qeda!
I served 4 tours as an infantryman and never got any "drop weapons". These men will go to hell and they are an embarrassment to the US military if they are real that is. I could never think of shooting an unarmed man or women and anyone who can even think like that is sick.
@DannyG1533 Just because you served four tours as an infrantryman and didn't get any "drop weapons" doesn't mean that your tour of duty was the same as every single other person in the military serving in combat. I was an intel analyst and my fiance at the time was an infantryman, and he was made to carry drop weapons on his very first tour, as well as all subsequent tours.
It's good you are upset this is happening but denying it and mocking their service is the real disgrace.

What a bunch of pansy ass POG's. You need to have your finger on the trigger if you want to come home. Sometimes Iraqis die. But the important thing is that Americans come home. Now the ROE is so stringent US troops are only allowed to engage the enemy under very strict paramaters. The AQI and ACF (Al Quida in Iraq/Anti-collalition Forces) take full advantage of this knowledge. All Iraqis are guilty of something, you just don't always have the evidence.
@thehotshirtguy2008 well we now know who the loyalist is now dont we tough guy. Loyalists-helping spread imperialism to the corners of the globe. Loyalists-9/11 buildings fall at free fall speed from plane crashes. Building 7? Yup we can see who the real POG is here. ya fuckin tool.
@Hadesmyboa6 Do you know what a POG is?Loyalist? Did I say I think we should be here?I'm against the war.We are over here wasting billions of dollars and thousands of lives on these butt-fucking sand monkeys for no result. We should have left saddam in power. He was the only thing that would ever hold this mess together and he was against Iran, and Bin Laden.Saddam was easy, the only thing he worshipped was money. He expanded farming, and advocated womens literacy. The enemy of an enemy is what?
@thehotshirtguy2008 weaker, poorer disadvantage opposing forces will always (they don't really have a choice...and you would do the exact same thing and worse) resort to guerrilla tactics. The military, political and economic advantage that america has is unmatchable.
@thehotshirtguy2008 it's like a fight between an fully grown MMArtist who is funded by sponsors, trained by experts from all over the world and fed by a nutrionist vrs. a poor scrappy 14 yr. old kid who can't save enough allowance to pay for boxing gloves, let alone lessons. if you were that kid, wouldn't you do anything not to have your brain bashed in? In addition, it's a fact that US troops are way too "trigger happy". Even allied troops complain about this.
You should have an AK in your vehicle in case your M16 jams Amerika just sells more weapons, that does not mean they are the best weapons...we are in Iraq because the oil goes to Haifa the US is Israel's bitch because Zionists control our fait money , Bush and Obama love that and are guilty of treason. War profiteers have made Billions off the poud Amerikan soldiers who think they are defending their country. I respect our soldiers a war profiteering billionaires do not
sorry but the way i see it is if they are gunna try to make our marines and soldiers out to be war criminals then they are shooting the wrong ppl. Surprised they can even get volunteers the way they treat them like shit. shit happens get over it
@cookiemonster12307 yes there are rules. There is.. no killing civilians.. no torturing.. and when these rules are broken ur supposed to be indicted and hung. simple as that.
We never did but if others did I do not fault them. Its protecting them, obama admin would be punishing US soldiers in a heart beat. Obams criminal admin are more then willing to protect the enemies and not US soldiers.
Well your statement shows total lack of actually knowledge on the subject and best you go back to your Hobbies: weed, video games so says your profile. Better yet go troll another video all together. He never sent you to war so quit using the word US like you have anything to do with what myself and others have sacrificed. I would do it all over again for my country and let me guess your one of those persons who think we found NO WMDS?Again quick acting like you know what your talking about.
I said "he never sent you to war so quit using the word US like you had anything to do with the sacrifice myself and others gave when Bush had sent us not you. I would do it again if called to war again.
I have been in for quiet a while u going to basic training does not make you a soldier by a long shot. You are a recruit and not a solder period. Till you get orders to your first actual unit then you are still a recruit. I just love it when people think this way that I signed a few pieces paper and I now can compare myself to those with experience who have been doing it for 10+ years. SO in reality you have no idea about drop weapons or what really gos on in combat. In any case I wish you luck.
@zack9912000 it is us, our country is at war. Ur wasting my fucking tax money for ur shit war that americans dont even give a fuck about.. we dont respect you just like the soldiers that fought in vietnam. Ur wasting my republics public dollars which can be used to house iraqi veterans living in our streets all homeless cause of ur shit war-- which according to you doesnt affect "us", and just u soldiers. GTFO my streets then u homeless soldiers if the war doesnt involve the rest of "us"
@zack9912000 what did you do for your country? were you asked to go to war by the majority of your citizens? everyone sacrificed a great deal. at one point 40 cents out of a dollar of tax money was used to fund the war. in a devastating recession that misspent money hurt and even broke up hard-working, loving families. generations upon generations of american citizens will be forced to suffer and sacrifice for a war that they were forced to pay for...even if they objected to it.
@zack9912000 find a profession that embraces and helps humanity..not terrorize and harm it under the false pretense of national security and international policing.
@zack9912000 /watch?v=chXjCtkymRQ&NR=1 There you go.. thats the entity you are fighting for, those are the ones you are protecting. You are not fighting in the name of the united states republic. wake up; or maybe ur already awake to the fact that you are merely protecting your corporate masters and not the United States republic when u go over into iraq.
@zanderinofilms totally agree. comments like "we were saving american lives" is just awful and shows that some people have been left behind when the rest of us evolved. I would expect most people to value each human life equally, regardless of nationality. Since when are american lives more valuable than iraqi, afghan or pakistani. Stupid MO like "DW" breeds more terrorism...
which exacerbates the already f-cked up situation...kill civilians+let it slide with faulty, selfish justifications+show no remorse=more terrorism=further the duration and increase the intensity of fighting=more death on both sides+more debt+more long-term instability for everyone...and i mean everyone on this planet...the economic and political status of america effects everyone.
Actually that is true to some extent, but there was an article in the New Yorker a few months ago about a platoon who captured 3 "insurgents" who were unarmed and they were executed. Pics were taken using drop weapons as part of the investigation. Charges were filled though when the truth came out.
Geo and I are going to hell because we don't believe that a madman that violates the law by ignoring UN resolution and UN resolution will ever decide to stop breaking the law out of the goodness of his heart? Wel,l if we're both going to hell for that then, would you mind saving us a seat? Yeah, you'll be there first, all these bad guys that you cuddle up to would just love to give you a first class lead ticket. Have fun with that.
@PaulUmbarger the UN is a joke. it's not this all-powerful, untouchable organization that can shut down countries. It's just a bunch of thugs and thieves that control what their weaker underlings do. it gives the impression that it is a democratic, fair org...but anyone knows that is just naive thinking. listen to and watch how delegates treat each other...look at the amount of time certain delegates have to speak..The US ignores the UN...and other nations borders...laws..always have.
Dude, it's war. Things happen. The real crime here is that the soldiers don't feel safe doing the job without having to worry about covering their ass. Fratricide has been a part of war since humans first went to war. If the populace didn't hide terrorists, none of this would still be going on.
That's why ppl shouldn't VIOLATE INT LAW by GOING TO WAR ILLEGALLY! Iraq had no connection to 9/11. OIL OIL OIL. Iraqis who oppose US OCCUPATION are terrorist? That's quite an assumption.
US= State Sponsored TERRORIST! Resource/power wars are illegal in Int. Law.
Iraq/Afghanistan broke Britain. Imperialism fails. You fail.
I may well be a dumb fuck but, last I remember seeing, the Brits didnt' fail. They're still here and still have the same basic type of government they've had for decades.
If Iraqis fight back against US forces, isn't that fighting to take the power to control the resources? Wouldn't that also be an "illegal war"? That UN blade can cut both ways.
@Stuttisco : I can see why you might consider it an illegal war but, we technically had the right to invade Iraq three weeks after Clinton took office when Saddams forces refused inspections, shot missles at Coalition air craft, interfired with Coalition aid missions and that is also a fact. It was an ongoing thing from the Clinton election until Gulf War II. That said, yeah, X-tianity should have ran the muslim Moors out of Spain and left it at that.
Well us Westerns (both world and Europeans), tend to stereotype Islam. I was chatting with some brothers about this issue. The media make it out as if Islam is a horrible religion, as if the Taliban's and other evil Muslims way of worshipping is the only way Muslims worship. Most of them are on a pay role anyway. For example racism towards Islam, because people think it's bad and a wrong religion, when it's not...People are ignorant and haven't read the Qur'ran but instead listen to mainstream.
@Stuttisco True. Muslims are stereotyped in some of the western media but, westerners are stereotyped in a lot of arabic media too. Especially the Jews in Israel. Not fair on either side but, all sides do it to at least some extent.
Very true. But it's propaganda, our media says that Islam is bad (when it's just those on pay role, Taliban etc.). And because their media says us whites and Christians are bad, that's why bombings happen.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
This is a Liberal fucking video, and the reason we attacked Iraq? is because its a training ground that breeds terrorists that are such pussies they have to hide behind the citizen populace. if the U.S. did not attack them after 9-11 it would have show every communistic peice of shit that we are a weak nation that has lost its once proud and justified back bone. therefore many more U,S. citizens would die, Any man who is willing to die for me is a Hero and God Bless America
Solanum20, people like you, who hide behind those of us who've served, are the biggest pussies of all. You know, the ones who couldn't make the cut for the military,or were just too scared of getting killed in combat? Pussies like the draft dodging Dick Chee Nee, and Bush Jr. Chickenhawks all support the troops because the troops have the balls to do what you are too much of a pussy to do.
Nothing sorrier than a war supporter too soft to sign up. I'm a US Marine AND a "Liberal."
how is this a liberalvid? show me one piece of bias? they are talking toreal veterans who know what goes on. you know who really trained and armed the iraqis? the americans. also saddam did a far better job of controlling the militias than you guys ever did. americas real war has allways been in afghanistan, but they were to busy fucking about in iraq wasting trillions of dollars in the process. lets not forget saudi arabia, but we wont talk about that because they feed americas oil addiction
@leer33 Agree! 9-10 people should do without their SUVs. a quarter of the money wasted on constant warring should have been better spent on improving pub. transportation and making alter. energy feasible.
So, what if we have American born terrorists that attack something here in the States? Do you supose we should bomb ourselves or go after teh SOB's that funded that attack?
I understand where you're coming from and I commend you for defending it to the last but, the truth is, you just don't have any logical ground to stand on. If there were no terrorists in Iraq, then who's fighting back? We know the Iraqi army is fighting out of uniform, why are you not railing about that illegal action?
Thus I work to break that weak bubble these weaklings live in. If they do not like it too damn bad. I would honestly like to snap the minds of the cowards who burry their heads in the sand or up their asses.
"Thou shall not bear false witness against thy neighbor"... ring a bell? Right-on nicklebird103, these fucking morons ought to take out their corrupted COs first!!
Your absolutely right, it IS war, and war is the epitome of violence and brutality. War is, by its very nature, Fucked up.
The question isn't really "is fucked up shit happening in Iraq?", but "Why are we at war with Iraq?". We have no reason to have invaded in the first place, and no reason to continue occupying. Things like this are shown not to express shock at the fact that war is unpleasant, but to remind people who would otherwise not know what the cost of our continued "war" is.
With POTUS candidates like John McCain implying that we might occupy Iraq for another 100 years, or candidates like Barak Obama catering to the will of the Israeli terrorist state, it is important for people to understand what "war" really means, not only for our economy, but for our citizens, soldiers, national identity, credibility, not to mention what it means to our so-called enemies.
Take care, if you or someone you know served or is serving this is not meant to disrespect. Just to inform.
@Nicotine1982 I keep hearing secondhand reports of soldiers coming back and saying there is no reason for "us" to be there. The skull and bones society at yale calls anyone outside their war profiteering realm barbarians, yeah right.
@axle90210 It's not a war it's an occupation for oil dumb ass- Take your misplaced patriotic B.S. and shove it up your ass- You believe B.S. so your a danger to us all. IT'S NOT A WAR! If the Chinese came here and attacked us and patrolled our streets I'd be a IED placing futha fuker! Grow up and think for yourself these people had nothing to do with 911 - It's oil! get it?
@axle90210 people like you should be shipped off to the worst war zones in the world. and forced to serve for several years, then made to post endless statements about your new-found view on war and its repercussions.^^

In addition, it's a disservice to your brothers who don't DW and do observe ROE.
paul81079 3 months ago
@WhiteKnight180 Sorry, WK. Did you read my posts? How have I not understood your argument? Does the fact that disagreeing with you mean I have misunderstood you?? Look at your wording "intend" ..."expect." You're trying to give the public a "realistic" grasp of the combat situation on the ground by falsifying the evidence and circumstances? Does that make any sense? Try to pass that logic on a group of jurors or a judge, military or non-military.
paul81079 3 months ago
Soldiers whose intentions were good when they signed-up and have been disillusioned by the realities of their "duties" make me think twice. I have empathy for them. Especially the true soldiers that spoke-out in this posting. They are true soldiers, honor-abiding warriors, defenders. I will support these combatants. But I refuse to absentmindedly support soldiers, committing atrocities, rationalizing their crimes on humanity.
paul81079 3 months ago
I am not an American. But I grew up and was educated in the states. I have a love for the US and will go back to study there. However, I disdain their military actions in foreign countries. I strongly oppose what America has done recently. I am Korean. But I have strong emotional ties to America. I owe a lot to the nation. But, but...I am disgusted by what has been going on in the middle east. I have been very vocal about not "supporting US troops."
paul81079 3 months ago
Set the standards extremely high, They can't or won't be observed exactly, but at least they will be followed somewhat. Lowering the bar will make everyone, on both sides miserable.
paul81079 3 months ago
But put a little more thought into it, and you'll realize that it is actually more detrimental to your troops and yourself. If you torture the opposition. Then you can't say anything when they do it to you or your brothers. All is not fair in love in war, nor is it beneficial to either party. Even in war, even if the parameters set can't be followed exactly, it is essential to set them anyhow.
paul81079 3 months ago
You are also missing the bigger picture. If you condone "drop weapons" for your troops, you are also adhering to the opposition doing the same thing. If you do that, then you make it fair game for your opponents to do that and worse. It's the same thing with torture. Self-justification for torture is fine if you are thinking about immediate, short-term results..not really though..cause 99% of people will say anything to stop the pain.
paul81079 3 months ago
You can't make up rules on the fly. You run the risk of being an in-the-moment, over-emotional renegade, which is the EXACT opposite of what a professional, trained soldier should be. Bias??? If you are making your own rules on the fly, you are being bias. Work within the parameters you have been given. That is the definition of a genuine soldier, professional.
paul81079 3 months ago
@WhiteKnight180 I don't agree. You have to make a clear distinction between what is right and wrong. If you continue to make justifications for your own self-serving needs, then you open up a chasm of problems. I did this..it was wrong ...but under the circumstances ....it was alright. ROE was made to uphold the honor that a true warrior and defender should have.

strawberrylaralara 8 months ago 2
@strawberrylaralara I used to work at the Naval hospital here in San Diego (Balboa Hospital) and listened to the stories of some of the wounded Marines and Sailors who admitted taking part in these kinds of things. I feel horrible for them because now they have to deal with and live with their conscience for the rest of their lives.
Goatskull 7 months ago
@Goatskull I do feel sorry for them as well, because they know they did wrong, but felt helpless( even though they weren't totally), the sadness comes when they sign up because they want to do good (for their own country) but their consience tells them they are doing wrong by doing these false actions. I'm glad that it has been exposed!!
strawberrylaralara 7 months ago
@strawberrylaralara It really goes back to the leadership. Too much if it is too cowardly to take responsibility and in effect throws these guys under the bus. Don't get me wrong, some of them go way above and beyond the "just following orders" excuse (Hamandania if I spelled that correctly), but still, they are put in impossible situations where it's imposible to alway make the right decision and then have to pay the price.
Goatskull 7 months ago
@Goatskull their conscience shouldnt be the only thing they have to deal with...these people shouldbe in jail or executed, preferably by the very same people they harmed....just let them get stoned to death...thousands of small stones slowly killing them should be good enough....
suckmydick1138 6 months ago
@suckmydick1138 Well that simply won't happen.
Goatskull 6 months ago
@Goatskull why? why should these people answer for their crimes, under the jurisdiction that those crimes were committed...just like everyone else....well i guess thats how you know feudalism when their are different laws for different people....
suckmydick1138 6 months ago
@suckmydick1138 Well for the most part the military rarely prosecutes its personnel for things like this, so right or wrong these guys will never see a court martial or the inside of a jail. The other thing is, we're not exactly fighting a uniformed military. It's kind of hard to tell who exactly the enemy is. Things like that play a factor. My Lai only LT Calley was convicted and that ended up being nothing more than a house arrest for 2 or three years, and that was obvious war crimes.
Goatskull 6 months ago
@Goatskull so perhaps the fact that they are generally not prosecuted probably adds to their willingness to do what is wrong...and im not saying the yare killing innocents on purpose (though some are), probably alot of the times they arent doing it on purpose but when it does happen and their was criminal intent it must be treated as a criminal action...
suckmydick1138 6 months ago
@suckmydick1138 It's a war. You're acknowledging that most aren't doing it on purpose yet you think they should be prosecuted? Or am I misunderstanding here? Also keep in mind that there are times when they have make quick split decisions that ultimately may or may not be the right thing to do. They may be in a situation where they have to search a house and decide to kill everybody there and not take chances.
Goatskull 6 months ago
@Goatskull Can you read what you're writing? This is why some people end up hating the US and not supporting "the troops." It's really convenient to dumb yourself down like this.Would you think like this if America wasn't a superpower? Would you use this rationalization to try to persuade or console relatives of civilian casualties? This is the rational of an infant or an adult with a severe case of arrested development. In irony it is also the same logic that terrorists use to justify themselves.
paul81079 3 months ago
@paul81079 I don't care about other people's opinions about the U.S. Lets be real here. Do you care about other people's opinion about your county? As to not supporting the troops, they can go fuck themselves. If they disagree with the war fine. Hate the war but not the warrior. A person who crosses me and can't think that way get a fist flown into their face.
Goatskull 3 months ago
@Goatskull You do care. And you should. Your response to my post indicates that you do. You are passionate about your country and the service that military personnel provide. But I think that your unconditional love for American combatants has blinded your judgement.
paul81079 2 months ago
You shouldn't justify the mistakes of the US military. You shouldn't baby lower-ranking military personnel (and that's what they are...you can't automatically categorize everyone who signed-on as "warriors") The military doesn't except minors.
In addition, you are only an "American" by chance. You happen to have been born in the US or have become a citizen by various means or by the efforts of older family members. What if you had been born an Iraqi, Afghan or Pakistani?
paul81079 2 months ago
@paul81079 "What if you had been born an Iraqi, Afghan or Pakistani?" What IF? I never said I have anything against the people there or anywhere else. The whole point of this clip is that our solders would even feel the need to do this whole drop weapons thing. Remember, they're not fighting a uniformed military. If you really want to get technical, the insurgents ARE civilians in that they're not member of a unformed armed force.
Goatskull 2 months ago
@paul81079 Also notice. Read all of my posts here. No where did I ever say anything to the effect of it's OK to just hunt down innocent civilians for sport or rape and kill children or anything like that. For that matter (even though this is a whole different subject) I never even said it's right that we're even out there to begin with, but we are and we will be until we're not. Soldiers have to make sudden decisions that may not always be the right one.
Goatskull 2 months ago
More than anything else we should blame the people who sent them there in the first place.
Goatskull 6 months ago
@Goatskull while i agree with what you have to say for the most part....think about this the elite can declare war all they want but what good will it be if people refuse to fight for them....maybe people should just stop volunteering for war...and when their is conscription (slavery) the people need to violently resist, in defense of their own freedom...
suckmydick1138 6 months ago
@suckmydick1138 Perhaps, but it's not that simple. First off, the U.S. military is never going to cease to exist. No matter what your view is of the current wars we're in (or sort of in now), even you have to admit we need a military to defend our shores. All countries do. People join for any variety of reasons. Some honestly want to serve their country. Anything wrong with that? Once you make that commitment you really don't get to pick and choose your battles.
Goatskull 6 months ago
@Goatskull What past military conflicts do you consider defensive? Very few military actions taken by the US were "defensive." Just eat up all the propaganda your feeble mind can handle. Feel me? At least to a point?
paul81079 3 months ago
@paul81079 Truth is I can't think of any. What's your point?
Goatskull 3 months ago
@suckmydick1138 Now, let's get one thing straight. There ARE military personnel who go way above and beyond what is morally right. My Lai, or more recently Hamandinia or Haditha? Did you read that article in Rolling Stone last April about the kill teams? There ARE some who should be charged (but mostly likely wont). Overall though, things are just not that simple and that's the point of this clip that has you and I going back and forth on this. Feel me? At least to a point?
Goatskull 6 months ago
@Goatskull you realize the fact that they are not held accountable only justifies the resistance that our troops face...their is an easy solution to this whole thing and that is to not join the military in times of semi illegal war (they have Congress approval but they are making war with out any declaration) some say they are putting troops in an impossible situation...easy solution, dont put them in that situation...their is not back and forth, its an easy solution to this whole thing....
suckmydick1138 6 months ago
@suckmydick1138
Goatskull 6 months ago
@Goatskull you see when ever people arent held accountable whether its cops or military personnel, it only reinforces the resolve of the people and it will only cause those who are being oppressed to take matters into their own hands and use violence if necessary in defense of their loved ones and freedom...when ever these so called officials cross the line in to criminal actions they are to be dealt with as criminals and their status as officer is void....
suckmydick1138 6 months ago
@suckmydick1138 The problem here is that the very people who can hold them accountable are the very same people who send them out there.
Goatskull 6 months ago
@Goatskull that is why the intention of the founders were to not have standing army, and for the troops to swear their oaths to the constitution, not to an individual or committee....the ultimate authority to the troops USED to be the constitution...but then they have changed the oath....and its different for officers and non officers...that is also why they favored militias, and the citizens being armed and ready over federal troops,

DannyG1533 1 year ago

Hadesmyboa6 1 year ago
@Hadesmyboa6 Do you know what a POG is?Loyalist? Did I say I think we should be here?I'm against the war.We are over here wasting billions of dollars and thousands of lives on these butt-fucking sand monkeys for no result. We should have left saddam in power. He was the only thing that would ever hold this mess together and he was against Iran, and Bin Laden.Saddam was easy, the only thing he worshipped was money. He expanded farming, and advocated womens literacy. The enemy of an enemy is what?
thehotshirtguy2008 1 year ago

Are you saying Bush protected the troops? Bush SENT US TO WAR! Obama is sending troops home. The republican government is all war.
suckithardnfast 1 year ago
Well your statement shows total lack of actually knowledge on the subject and best you go back to your Hobbies: weed, video games so says your profile. Better yet go troll another video all together. He never sent you to war so quit using the word US like you have anything to do with what myself and others have sacrificed. I would do it all over again for my country and let me guess your one of those persons who think we found NO WMDS?Again quick acting like you know what your talking about.

Bush didnt send us to war? Who did?
suckithardnfast 1 year ago
I said "he never sent you to war so quit using the word US like you had anything to do with the sacrifice myself and others gave when Bush had sent us not you. I would do it again if called to war again.
zack9912000 1 year ago
Actually I just joined the army a few days ago. I go to training in April so dont play the sacrifice thing with me.
suckithardnfast 1 year ago
I have been in for quiet a while u going to basic training does not make you a soldier by a long shot. You are a recruit and not a solder period. Till you get orders to your first actual unit then you are still a recruit. I just love it when people think this way that I signed a few pieces paper and I now can compare myself to those with experience who have been doing it for 10+ years. SO in reality you have no idea about drop weapons or what really gos on in combat. In any case I wish you luck.
zack9912000 1 year ago
@zack9912000 it is us, our country is at war. Ur wasting my fucking tax money for ur shit war that americans dont even give a fuck about.. we dont respect you just like the soldiers that fought in vietnam. Ur wasting my republics public dollars which can be used to house iraqi veterans living in our streets all homeless cause of ur shit war-- which according to you doesnt affect "us", and just u soldiers. GTFO my streets then u homeless soldiers if the war doesnt involve the rest of "us"
trainthemind 1 year ago
@zack9912000 what did you do for your country? were you asked to go to war by the majority of your citizens? everyone sacrificed a great deal. at one point 40 cents out of a dollar of tax money was used to fund the war. in a devastating recession that misspent money hurt and even broke up hard-working, loving families. generations upon generations of american citizens will be forced to suffer and sacrifice for a war that they were forced to pay for...even if they objected to it.

I doubt they MEANT to shoot the wrong person. This just makes sure we don't loose soldiers to stupid stuff like accidental fire.

zanderinofilms 2 years ago
@zanderinofilms totally agree. comments like "we were saving american lives" is just awful and shows that some people have been left behind when the rest of us evolved. I would expect most people to value each human life equally, regardless of nationality. Since when are american lives more valuable than iraqi, afghan or pakistani. Stupid MO like "DW" breeds more terrorism...
paul81079 3 months ago
which exacerbates the already f-cked up situation...kill civilians+let it slide with faulty, selfish justifications+show no remorse=more terrorism=further the duration and increase the intensity of fighting=more death on both sides+more debt+more long-term instability for everyone...and i mean everyone on this planet...the economic and political status of america effects everyone.
paul81079 3 months ago
Actually that is true to some extent, but there was an article in the New Yorker a few months ago about a platoon who captured 3 "insurgents" who were unarmed and they were executed. Pics were taken using drop weapons as part of the investigation. Charges were filled though when the truth came out.

@PaulUmbarger the UN is a joke. it's not this all-powerful, untouchable organization that can shut down countries. It's just a bunch of thugs and thieves that control what their weaker underlings do. it gives the impression that it is a democratic, fair org...but anyone knows that is just naive thinking. listen to and watch how delegates treat each other...look at the amount of time certain delegates have to speak..The US ignores the UN...and other nations borders...laws..always have.
paul81079 3 months ago
Dude, it's war. Things happen. The real crime here is that the soldiers don't feel safe doing the job without having to worry about covering their ass. Fratricide has been a part of war since humans first went to war. If the populace didn't hide terrorists, none of this would still be going on.
PaulUmbarger 2 years ago 3
are you serious?
That's why ppl shouldn't VIOLATE INT LAW by GOING TO WAR ILLEGALLY! Iraq had no connection to 9/11. OIL OIL OIL. Iraqis who oppose US OCCUPATION are terrorist? That's quite an assumption.
US= State Sponsored TERRORIST! Resource/power wars are illegal in Int. Law.
Iraq/Afghanistan broke Britain. Imperialism fails. You fail.
dumb fuck.
Ryguy1450 2 years ago
I may well be a dumb fuck but, last I remember seeing, the Brits didnt' fail. They're still here and still have the same basic type of government they've had for decades.
If Iraqis fight back against US forces, isn't that fighting to take the power to control the resources? Wouldn't that also be an "illegal war"? That UN blade can cut both ways.
PaulUmbarger 2 years ago
The real crime is, it's an illegal war. Christianity VS Islam. FACT.
Stuttisco 2 years ago
@Stuttisco : I can see why you might consider it an illegal war but, we technically had the right to invade Iraq three weeks after Clinton took office when Saddams forces refused inspections, shot missles at Coalition air craft, interfired with Coalition aid missions and that is also a fact. It was an ongoing thing from the Clinton election until Gulf War II. That said, yeah, X-tianity should have ran the muslim Moors out of Spain and left it at that.
PaulUmbarger 2 years ago
Well us Westerns (both world and Europeans), tend to stereotype Islam. I was chatting with some brothers about this issue. The media make it out as if Islam is a horrible religion, as if the Taliban's and other evil Muslims way of worshipping is the only way Muslims worship. Most of them are on a pay role anyway. For example racism towards Islam, because people think it's bad and a wrong religion, when it's not...People are ignorant and haven't read the Qur'ran but instead listen to mainstream.
Stuttisco 2 years ago 3
@Stuttisco True. Muslims are stereotyped in some of the western media but, westerners are stereotyped in a lot of arabic media too. Especially the Jews in Israel. Not fair on either side but, all sides do it to at least some extent.
PaulUmbarger 2 years ago
Very true. But it's propaganda, our media says that Islam is bad (when it's just those on pay role, Taliban etc.). And because their media says us whites and Christians are bad, that's why bombings happen.

Solanum20 2 years ago
It simply wasn't a training ground though. That is a lie. If anything the US trained Iraq for war in the 80s.

Your absolutely right, it IS war, and war is the epitome of violence and brutality. War is, by its very nature, Fucked up.
The question isn't really "is fucked up shit happening in Iraq?", but "Why are we at war with Iraq?". We have no reason to have invaded in the first place, and no reason to continue occupying. Things like this are shown not to express shock at the fact that war is unpleasant, but to remind people who would otherwise not know what the cost of our continued "war" is.
Nicotine1982 3 years ago 14
With POTUS candidates like John McCain implying that we might occupy Iraq for another 100 years, or candidates like Barak Obama catering to the will of the Israeli terrorist state, it is important for people to understand what "war" really means, not only for our economy, but for our citizens, soldiers, national identity, credibility, not to mention what it means to our so-called enemies.
Take care, if you or someone you know served or is serving this is not meant to disrespect. Just to inform.
