@TheDabdidoo no. you just train until you max out your ev's. if you started at level 7, your ev's will probaly be maxed by the time your in your 20s or 30s. then you can just rare candy all the rest.

So lets say a machop for example: If you have the Power Bracer and Pkrs, You would get the original 1 attack ev + the 4 attack evs that the Power Bracer gives. Since the pkrs doubles the evs gained from each pokemon, it would double 1+4 = 5. So You would get 5x2 = 10 evs.

oops. ok how did u get that many stats for leveling up? i ev trained my dratini with the attack brace and he had the virus. i gave him ten proteins which should be 100 ev points, and i had the virus, so i fought pokemon who who gave me 1 attack ev. ((1+4)2) which would mean i only needed to do 15 more battles with attack evs, so i did. i even did a few more to make sure, i NEVER got more than three stat points for attack, am i doing something wrong?

In Pokemon Diamond, Pearl and Platinum: The effort ribbon is located at the Sunyshore market. Pokemon Black and White there is no Effort Ribbon but in Opelucid City there is a girl who will check the Effort Values of your Pokemon. If you have maxed all the effort values of your Pokemon, she will let you know.

@OrkTv Defeat 51 magicarps and you will finish your Ev training for speed :D. Why? Because Magicarps gives you 1+ in speed. Power anklet gives you +4 in speed... 1+4 = 5. So every magicarp you defeat is 5 EV's for speed. 51 x 5= 255. ^.^

@MrAvacadoes 15 goldeens.. Why? You have already 100 EV's in attack. Each goldeen gives you 10 EV's in attack. 15 x 10 = 150..... 150 + 100 = 250. If you beat 16 goldeens you will pass over 255 ev's. That's why i hate vitamins sometimes :D
@BobTotProductions if by that you mean the stats won't add up the same, you're wrong. this zangoose has 359 attack and the max for a zangoose's attack (assuming beneficial attack nature, 31 attack ivs, and 252 attack evs) is 361 and the 2 points off can be attributed to ivs being less than 31
@aLEEtaptap In some way yes, I use a flashcard wish has an AR integrated, and I just use it to get items necessary for ev training like the berries rare candies, or some others like IV checking or fast egg hatch, my actual AR is now accumulating some dust since i no longer use it at all!
You won't get your stat change early because if you're lv 20 and fought 252 goldeens, you would have more than 252 attack. I had a dragonite and I thought I wasn't doing it right but when it reached lv 69, I calculated and it's sort of going to reach the maximum attack. So cheer up.
@pureclan5 unless u only play on wireless there is no need to lv up to 100 since wifi temporarily does that when battling and also im not saying that the evs are only shown at lv 100 they are saved whenever u obtain them
@pureclan5 It really helps no matter what level you are. ive only done about 50 so far and my gibles attack is already 6 points ahead of the other and its only level ten.
Do you have to train your pokemon to lvl 100 to get the full effects of EV training? Because a stat should raise 1 for every 4 EV's rite? I've done 252 EV's in attack on 1 of my pokemon from the time it was level 1 and now it is level 15 but it doesn't even have 63 attack which the EV's should of gotten just by themselves.
@pureclan5 The +63 is the real result and u wont see it between lv1-99 since the increases u get in those Lvs depend on the Lv itself, you just have to worry about how many evs u get thats why u see in the video that ev training at lv1 or 99 is the same thing at the end

Hello i need a lil help with ev training atm i'm trying to ev train my medicham, i want max speed and max attack so how many diglets do i have to kill to max speed ? with band. How many goldens do i have to kill to max attack, also with band ? i do not have pokerus atm, ty in advance.
I have been fighting seaking and goldeen forever to EV train in attack and I have the maximum but I am only getting 2, 3, and 4 when I level up. Earlier I was getting a few fives, but the next day I wasn't. Am I doing anything wrong?

@samsung50inchtv ok ok... it must've fully maxed its evs... or its because of the nature and iv.. make sure it has the nature and iv for you to ev train that specific stat. you actually need a power lens and pkrs(optional) to get the results better for your golduck. make sure you give it medicine such as calcium...
@1oe7 what do you mean maxed its ev? for eveything or for one stat? my golduck has, HP:171 Defense:124 SP Atack:153 SP Defense:109 Speed:95 ??? At level 55 are those stats maxed out or something?
@Pokefan10291 The stat addition really isn't the final product, I guess you can call it, because every stat plus only matters once you hit level 100. That's when you get your results--I also only get 2-5 stat additions everytime, and my highest was a 15 stat add.

@icewish45 If it is a low levelled mudkip, it won't get a lot of 5's or 6's. I thought I wasn't getting enough either, but after getting it to level 100, it was close to maximum.

What i did was ev train at lvl 30, getting it done early, becyase theyre egg hatched, wierd is that i have used Pokerus. and a bracer, and they opnly get +13 sometimes +15, but that doesnt matter, as long as theyre stats are high by the final level thats fine
@Empoleon79 that's when IVs come in play, my poke only had 29 IVs out of 31 and even if i added max evs i wouldn't be able to get max stat in there because my zangoose was borned with 29 IVS
I have a question in SS I hatched a Pichu egg to do EV training defense. And every Pikachu/Raichu I ever get always suffers with defense stat in battles that he could get one hit by pokemon 20 lvls less than him, and that Pikachu is this Pichu's father. I gave it a macho brace to help double EV and fight only defense pokemon only thing though is it seems to gain 0-1 defense (Seems to be normal gain without EV training). Yet he doesn't seem to suffer much damage in battle, so am I doing it right?

Hey man uhm, how you get the EV Points to be so high!?, when i use my Scyther with Macho Brace, it gained +9 atk one level,2nd time it lvled it was +8, and then the third time it was only +3...i was thinking maybe because i dont have pokerus, or do i have to use the power anklet besides using the macho brace....Unless it would be the same way if i level up once when im lvl 99. and got that much EV's in Atk and Spd when i faced the same pokemon over n over again.

if u want ur scyther to have high effort points breed it with an adamant nature and rare candie it until lvl 98 then ev train it in attack...ur gonna get 72+

how do you get the EV numbers so high? Mine only go up to +4 and once it went +8 how do you get it so high? i have the pokerus and the power item why doesnt it go over +4 when leveling? i playing pokemon soul silver is it any different?
But! that still doesnt make EV Training useless you can manipulate this and make your pokemon alot stronger than other pokemon (aka super strong ;3) on a selected level, Even though when you're pokemon get to 100 the Stats you EV trained in will be maxed out ultimately and won't go pass that, EV training is still useful. And when your pokemon's power is maxed out that's when skill comes in :D

You get +15 EV's when you got level up (20-21).
I am training my Skortupi on Magikarps with a Power Anklet, but everytime he levels up, he only gets +2 in Speed.
It's strange, because this is a regular Stat boost when he levels up:
HP + 2
Att. + 2
Def.+ 2
Sp. Att + 1
Sp. Def. + 2
Spe. + 2
Am I doing something wrong?

It actually work , leveling up is not the only way to do that , but by giving it an ev reducing berry . google it and see for yourself .

@pureclan5 unless u only play on wireless there is no need to lv up to 100 since wifi temporarily does that when battling and also im not saying that the evs are only shown at lv 100 they are saved whenever u obtain them

@pureclan5 It really helps no matter what level you are. ive only done about 50 so far and my gibles attack is already 6 points ahead of the other and its only level ten.

Do you have to train your pokemon to lvl 100 to get the full effects of EV training? Because a stat should raise 1 for every 4 EV's rite? I've done 252 EV's in attack on 1 of my pokemon from the time it was level 1 and now it is level 15 but it doesn't even have 63 attack which the EV's should of gotten just by themselves.

@pureclan5 The +63 is the real result and u wont see it between lv1-99 since the increases u get in those Lvs depend on the Lv itself, you just have to worry about how many evs u get thats why u see in the video that ev training at lv1 or 99 is the same thing at the end

@2358520 Once you get EVs they can only be taken away by certain berries, so once you have all your EVs you can level up however you want.

I have been fighting seaking and goldeen forever to EV train in attack and I have the maximum but I am only getting 2, 3, and 4 when I level up. Earlier I was getting a few fives, but the next day I wasn't. Am I doing anything wrong?

@zerohorus I have been fighting Ghastleys forever to EV train in Sp attack and i have macho brace on but i am only getting 2,3 and 4 when i level up.Earlier i was getting 7 and 8, but the next day i wasnt and then i tryed to ev train it in defense i got a few 8 but then i started to get 2 and 3 again!
This is also happening with my crobat!
My golduck only has 140 Sp attack at level 51.
PLEASE TELL ME WHAT IM DOING WRONG

@samsung50inchtv ok ok... it must've fully maxed its evs... or its because of the nature and iv.. make sure it has the nature and iv for you to ev train that specific stat. you actually need a power lens and pkrs(optional) to get the results better for your golduck. make sure you give it medicine such as calcium...

@Pokefan10291 The stat addition really isn't the final product, I guess you can call it, because every stat plus only matters once you hit level 100. That's when you get your results--I also only get 2-5 stat additions everytime, and my highest was a 15 stat add.

@Pokefan10291 yea im so confused too. i have a mudkip w/ pokerus and power bracer, and have just killed 25 goldeens. this mudkip is fresh and never trained b4. i dont undrstand why im not getting the ev's i soo deserve!!!

@icewish45 If it is a low levelled mudkip, it won't get a lot of 5's or 6's. I thought I wasn't getting enough either, but after getting it to level 100, it was close to maximum.

say if you have action replay and you adjust the wild pokemon appearing to lets say gengar who gives +3 ev's + power specs and pokerus =16; you do that until 240 then add 10 from a gastly+pokerus+power specs=250 add 2 by removing the power specs and battling gastly with only pokerus and you do the same to another stat like attack which will equal 510, WILL THE RESULTS STILL BE THE SAME AS DOING IT THE LONG WAY BY BATTLING 25 GASTLY'S AND 25 MACHOPS

@Ramz18 wait how is that equal to sixteen? gengar gives 3 and +4 from specs which is 7 and double from pkrus which id 14...i think....3+4 and then times 2 is 14...i just started in this whole evs and stuff but im not sure...

What i did was ev train at lvl 30, getting it done early, becyase theyre egg hatched, wierd is that i have used Pokerus. and a bracer, and they opnly get +13 sometimes +15, but that doesnt matter, as long as theyre stats are high by the final level thats fine

@Empoleon79 that's when IVs come in play, my poke only had 29 IVs out of 31 and even if i added max evs i wouldn't be able to get max stat in there because my zangoose was borned with 29 IVS

I have a question in SS I hatched a Pichu egg to do EV training defense. And every Pikachu/Raichu I ever get always suffers with defense stat in battles that he could get one hit by pokemon 20 lvls less than him, and that Pikachu is this Pichu's father. I gave it a macho brace to help double EV and fight only defense pokemon only thing though is it seems to gain 0-1 defense (Seems to be normal gain without EV training). Yet he doesn't seem to suffer much damage in battle, so am I doing it right?

Hey man uhm, how you get the EV Points to be so high!?, when i use my Scyther with Macho Brace, it gained +9 atk one level,2nd time it lvled it was +8, and then the third time it was only +3...i was thinking maybe because i dont have pokerus, or do i have to use the power anklet besides using the macho brace....Unless it would be the same way if i level up once when im lvl 99. and got that much EV's in Atk and Spd when i faced the same pokemon over n over again.

the power bracer is good if u want a to train a pokemon quicker in attack.
any pokemon u beat with the power bracer on u still get 1+ added to ur attack stat cuz it gives u 4 ev's in attack...
oh and about ur ditto
most pokemon dont like ditto but they can still have eggs
it's weird but it works
and if u want an adamant scyther put an everstone on ditto and breed it with ur scyther.
the everstone passes the nature from the parent to the baby. it's a 50/50 chance but thats good=)

if u want ur scyther to have high effort points breed it with an adamant nature and rare candie it until lvl 98 then ev train it in attack...ur gonna get 72+
uhmm also dont just fight like 5 or ten pokemon ...use up all ur pp from all the moves

But! that still doesnt make EV Training useless you can manipulate this and make your pokemon alot stronger than other pokemon (aka super strong ;3) on a selected level, Even though when you're pokemon get to 100 the Stats you EV trained in will be maxed out ultimately and won't go pass that, EV training is still useful. And when your pokemon's power is maxed out that's when skill comes in :D
