Personally, I feel that the Diamond 8 series, especially the 8.4 sounded lighter and more true sounding (tighter if you say so) and affordable for the price of the 9 series. The 9 series sounds great but I could be wrong..8 series somehow doesnot call attentionto the speakers while movie-watching and does not call attention to itself. Onegets lost in the movie quicker with 8 series
I've heard both the series and I'll be a little old-fashioned while auditioning these beauties if I have a choice.
